well i have been lax in my journal upkeep as of late, and missed this one till today, feel free to verbaly abuse me as you see fit brother J... but i am subbed and catching up, my excuse is that i have been working on my breeding program,my new pc and well halo4 and cod black ops2 just came out and its been double xp weekend and well spiff and i have been at it nonstop i mean hell im a level 47 already spiff a 34, sooooooo you understand right? the new upgrades look nice of course, and the girls are looking good (im on pg 1 so if something has happend im unaware of i will be soon) ok im off to catch up

i think the rooting plan is stellar,in my last aeroclone sesh i was changing water every 2-3 days,i was running superthrive,h2o2, a couple drops bpnseaweed,and some soil secrets earth nectar(hydro mykos) it did the job but was funky, im going back to root plugs/rockwool, the new stuff looks great the pics are ah frikkin mazing! i live in constant pain too never a moment without it i used to get debilitating migraines that could keep me crying in bed for a week but then i found mmj and they are rare, thank the gods! i understand your plight, i meditate on the cure finding you, i have faith the right strain will be the key, for us both, peace to you brother J

I use SNS up until about 2 weeks before harvest, if needed. Then I use the tobacco juice, because it's safer...

Wow... Yes, Twelve12 is a photog idle of mine... And thank you for the comparison. I don't think I'm up to his par, yet, but it's good to know I'm on the right track.

And the B.I.D. makes his appearance! Welcome, my purple brother! Thanks for the healing energy, I need it right now: a week crying is right. Yeah, I'm trying to stay away from any organic material in my hydro systems. I've had seriously bad results in this enviro with them in hydro. Some people can do it in their clime, but not me, here. Thanks for the compliments, too. Makes me smile to see all the accolades coming in, letting me know that my past problems in this box are just that........in the past.

About the strain for migraines. I'm out. That's why I'm being fucked with. The mother went into a faux flower, and has yet been very hard to clone. She's almost done enough to try more cuttings, I have already taken 4, hoping one will root. Keep your fingers crossed with me?

Okay, so the new UVB lights came in last week, and I was able to return the extra UVB lights to Indie, our bearded dragon.


The pic says 20" but mine are 24".... so.... yeah Still T5 though.





So since these plants can't handle UVB of more than 90mcw,(or so I've read/I can't prove that) I have both on separate sides of the box about 5" from the tops. Since I'm not willing to risk this grow, as everything is going so well, we'll not test less than 5" from tops.

One suggestion before you buy these... MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT YOU ARE NOT HAVING HEAT ISSUES BEFORE INSTALLING THESE IN YOUR GROW SPACE!

They run at 111*F to 118*F. That will heat your space up considerably. My temps were running in the high 80's until I installed these. Now, they're running in the mid 90's to 100 with the box closed... Fine with me, because I use CO2 enrichment, and higher temps mean more available CO2. But at 100 I tend to start to worry... but as you can see, the plants are ABSOLUTELY LOVING the environs. I just open the box up when the temps get over 100 and spill all that CO2 into the floor, but I vent the heat for an hour or two, and close 'er up again.

yeah and watch them close the uvb will toast the tops of your plants if they run to much i burnt up some autos not long ago had the uvb on to many hours at a time(4 on 1 off) well even at 8 inches it proved to much with just a 10.1 cfl im down to 2 on 2 off and on that side of the tent things still have to be watched carefully, my bubbleicious took a hit recently due to drought mix that with uvb you get toasty leaves

I have them across the front, and across the back, 4" from tops. On 2 hours after HPS, off 2 hours before HPS, so 8 hours total. Been like that a week, or so. Have seen no twisting, curling, tanning, or bleaching at all, yet, so given that, hopefully the distance will be fine. They're getting about 80mcw/hr right now. and .002mcw UVC. I didn't know it but these are engineered to provide a teensy bit of UVC which in large doses can cause sever genetic damage, but in small doses KILLS FUNGUS SPORES, BACTERIA, and VIRUSES. So they're getting UVB in large doses, UVA in small doses, and UVC in micro doses.


Ultraviolet A UVA 400 – 315 nm 3.10 – 3.94 eV long wave, black light
Ultraviolet B UVB 315 – 280 nm 3.94 – 4.43 eV medium wave
Ultraviolet C UVC 280 – 100 nm 4.43 – 12.4 eV short wave, germicidal

54C is 130F and 45C is 113F... That's a little too high for these plants. The first round of this exact strain, they curled at the edges at 40.5C or 105F. And need to I have an extraction fan on a thermo timer. When the temps get above 80 it cycles on every hour for 5 minutes to vent O2. When it gets above 101 it comes on full time to drop temps below 100, then cycles as needed to keep temps down. Right now, I just have it on a regular timer, and am playing with the time/temp coef.

Those T5 bulbs, I need to get some also. I just looked in my cab with the T5 and seen that some of my clones are starting to molt on the edges of the leaves. I checked the temps and there around 100. I have a fan in there but I need to get an exhaust fan to get the heat out of there.. But I never had this problem before with my T5. Im used to keeping it about 5 inches above the plants and they do just fine. Now they are molting and im guessing its the light. Before I just adjusted it, it was about 8inches to a foot away from the canopy. Now its a whole 2feet away. The bulbs are arobrite or something like that. Are those the same bulbs you had before switching?

What I had in before I put in UV bulbs, was the Hydrofarm and Sun Blaster HO T5 24w single tube fixtures. I switched out the tubes for UV about 3 weeks or so ago. The HO UV tubes finally came in last week, and they've been in there ever since.

Side A Looks rough, but remember, these clones were among those that went through not only a water pump failure, but also a pH meter failure. I'm only flowering them, because I can't stand to throw a plant away.

As you will see defoliation only happened on the center plant, for one, the other two on the right side are too young, yet, and second, the two on the left were too small to really need it.
