Re: Jandre2k3's Cardboard Flowerbox - 41 Week Perpetual SOG Part2 - Blue Planet Nutri
Last weekend, I just converted all my top drip bins to Ebb-&-Flow. I've done soil in an Ebb-&-Flow before, but those were marsh plants, and used to the rise and fall of the water level. Pitcher Plants, Venus Flytraps, Sundew, those types. I guess with a short enough fill, and far enough in between fills, Ebb-&-Flow would work for soil, or a coco/soil hybrid mix, but I'm going to stay all hydroponics. I don't have the room to keep masses of soil, and buckets, nor do I have the headroom that would allow for a bucket big enough to support a good plant in the flower box. I guess if I cut a hole in the bottom of the box, and set the bucket in the res storage box below... nah.. I'm staying hydro. I've learned too much about hydro to abandon it now.
When I transplant from Neonatal, it's more of just setting the rockwool cube into a 3" netpot, and burying that in hydroton in my Ebb-&-Flow K-8 (Veg1) bin and setting the res for 1/4 nutes. I can post pics of what exactly I do there, if you need. Just lemme know.
What do you use when you transplant if your going to soil at all? OR are you sticking with hydro on all plants??
