James' Soil - Multi-Strain 2012 Grow

Neither can I. When I had the girls out 2 nights ago to feed them, I decided to clip some more test buds off of aunt bernice to 1.) thin her out some so she doesn't take up as much room 2.) make the main top colas develop more and 3.) I'm impatient and wanted to try more!! Mainly 1 and 2 though, I swear:bitingnails:

I just finished smoking 1/2 a J and am flying at the moment!! Very head high although still medicinal (not as much as I would like though, I'm thinking I will pull the love lettuces around 20-30% amber) The taste was very crisp but a little green still. These were rush dried on my cable box after 2 days, another day should make a big difference. Along with a nice long cure..... MMMmmmmmmm

Going by OMM's statement of count from the first pistil then it looks like it was 6-10-2012 and that puts me on day 24 of flowering.... if that's the case then I will be real excited with how much I already have!!!! New updates soon (hopefully a complete update)!!

:thanks: and :welcome:

Great looking plants. It is really hard to have beautiful plants like that when you are out of smoke! Great Job!

It is definitely the Blue Planet Nutrients. Especially the Farmer's Pride Organic line. I haven't grown with many different nutrients but I don't think I will ever need to grow with much else!!!!!! Comparing this grow to last grow is like comparing a bat cave to high noon in Africa!!! I had so many leaf issues, slow growth, incomplete bud growth, crappy taste, and low yields last time that the only way I was able to justify doing my last grow and considering it worth it was the learning experience! This time I have had such beautiful green leaves (other than the occasional yellowed leaf or the issue with my cheese, but that is my fault for not listening to my girls in time.). I have had explosive growth at times (when I was doing things right), good and constant bud growth, and lots of it. By looking at it now I already have 2 or 3 times as many meds this time as I did last time and I'm only a little past halfway through flowering!!!!! AND WITH HALF AS MANY PLANTS!!!!! CRAZY!!! However, the reason I say the Farmer's Pride Organic line is for the taste. The samples that I have taken and given the 3 days to dry was some of the best tasting smoke I've had. I can't wait to taste the finished product with a proper cure!! I can't leave out that it has also had me flying much higher while only being a little bit behind on the medicinal effect. By the time it ambers up some, it should balance out very nicely.

The only thing I would like to find out from Corey is if there is some sort of finishing product I could use. Sort of like Bloombastic or Overdrive. I would love to get my colas to fill in and look like this:

Wouldn't that be nice!!!!!!

Does anyone have any opinions/pulled out of your ass guesstimates at how much closer I may get to that. I know with all the toppings and such they aren't going to fill in nearly that much but they seem so have slowed with new calyx growth. I thought I was on day 39 of flower, however OMM and many others count from first flower which after looking back at my pictures, puts me around day 29. I don't know the "ideal harvest time" for any of my strains but I'm guessing the cheese to be around 65 days, Celeste 70-75 and the love lettuce to be about 75-80 days based on the amount of stretch.

Corey you have done an amazing job at making an amazing product!!!! :bravo: I hope this works out for you in a big big way!!!! You deserve it!!!

And thank you closetfarmer.... it sure is. I just told my wife a little bit ago (right after having a pinner sample) I wouldn't mind harvesting the love lettuce now if I didn't want a much bigger yield!!!

I'm trying Miwa....... I swear I'm trying..... I have another pinners worth of a sample then 2 bowls until I'm out. Hopefully payday comes first!!

Thanks Grace, ^_^.... see above

He does make a bloom booster but it is a synthetic fert and wouldn't be ideal to mix with the organics line. That being said, adding another nutrient bottle to your lineup does not always mean a better plant. It's not that simple or else top growers nutrient lineups would be a mile long. It is about supplying all the necessary nutrients in their proper ratios.

I've seen top quality bud grown with basic 2 & 3 part nutrients, so why keep pouring more salts into your medium?

Corey does make an organic bloom booster called K-bud that I use personally, the added potassium may help bulk up your buds a bit. If you really want to make an improvement, start brewing organic teas to apply weekly. This will increase the microbial activity which helps break down the organic nutrients

Don't forget James, Patience is a virtue! I realize how hard it is not to take samples:high-five:, but try and hold off, so you get the Plant at it's Maximum weight and peak ripeness. I realize this is easy for Me to say, as I am not out of Herb for my Wife. But I think you will be so much Happier if You just wait till the end!:thumb: SINCERELY, JAMESTHEGREEN.
