InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

I obviously was not paying attention and completely orphaned this morning's post. It's here, and please read it first!

Now to the quotes:

I say keep it. Do it…………for science! Ya never know how it may turn out. Besides, what’s one more plant.
LOL thanks BigD! I can certainly manage three, though I would guess if the JH survives it would become part of the Fall grow at this point. I doubt I'll be flipping it with the other two.
Good times Shed! That olive bubble nest. We have bubble nest bugs here. I call them spit bugs. No idea if they're the same, not likely. Olive trees! You do live in paradise! Squeeze your daughter and enjoy the run home!
Thank you Otter! The run home was a bit crazy and twice almost lost the mattress tied to the top of the van, but managed to finally get it secured and home safe. My daughter has reverted back to her home self and sat around getting high yesterday while her parents put her room back together. :cheesygrinsmiley:
If it won't eat into to too much of your time, try to save her. That would be a great story if you succeed 'cause she looks like she's near death now!
I forgot to post those pics, but the top growth is at least a less sickly shade of green...so there's that! I'll put them up tomorrow. It's no big deal to keep it around, since it never needs water. ;)
What He said ^^^ that is a pisser
LOL!
I'm with Bigd and GrandDaddyBlack on this one Shed. Try a new plan Stan jump on the bus Gus. Put her in another mix for science sake,
For science!
Then i think of some of my stallers i've had. Maybe just pop another JH bean. It is a worthy plant.
Or not!
Got one of my Snow girls kind of stalling on me the other one is coming right along. May cull the staller. Take a clone of the more vigorous grower?
Who knows?
and I'll be on later today to do some catching up.
Or not!
Pollen Sacks baby! Welcome home!
Thanks Otter. Pollen sacs galore, pollen in store?
Happy to hear of a safe return!
Thanks GDB! Whirlwind four days and so glad to be home. :Namaste:
That is huge, could this possibly be close to calling out a success?
Could be! Won't be a success until we're counting seeds in 50-some-odd days. :nomo:
I take it this wasn’t dorm living. Happy your all home safe.
Not dorm living! Had to pack and load the bedroom, kitchen, and living room. And somewhere in the middle of all that she graduated from college with honors. :)
Whew, I’m tired just listening!! Well done Shed, it’ll be nice to have her around again I bet. And well done with the pollen sacs! I’m not one to count chickens til they’ve hatched, but that sounds like it could be promising!!
LOL thanks double H! She is fun to have around in her loud and annoying way. :thumb:

And no, no chicken-counting until the cows have come home to roost!
Congrats on your sacs!
Happy belated congratulations on your Cannaversary!
Congrats on having your girl back home once again.
Thanks VG! So much to celebrate on so many different levels. It's so hard to believe that she's finally done being a student after so many many years. She thrived on it and loved getting her A's. I hope the success she finds in life gives her equal satisfaction!
Glad you're back -safe and sound!
Great news on the pollen sacs- all you had to do was not look at it for a couple days...it's the "a watched pot never boils" thing, but with plants...
And Happy Cannaversary! I hope you're here for many, many more
Thank you Carcass! And I couldn't even check on the plants when I got home because it was lights out.

I think I have a bit more time on the site. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Pollen sacks can get out of control but know you have the blueprint to be safe and controlled unlike myself. Glad you are home safe my friend.
Thanks Kis. Out of control would still be a win in my book!
Congrats on your Cannaversary Shed! and also congrats on your daughters graduation. Such a great milestone in all of your lives. Get some rest!
Thank you Boo! It's a huge milestone that I'll be able to look back on once the memory of the moving recedes. At this point the graduation was a couple of hours out of so much other controlled chaos!
Pollen sacs so you say, Where's the pollen? Glad your back and everything went well
Thanks dynamo! I have no idea if there even is pollen yet. ;)
Safe trip home , Good deal and i bet your glad that's over with LOL Con grads on all the good things happening in your life it is very satisfying's when a plan comes together !!
So much driving on Sunday (not just getting home, but they moved the trailer rental pickup place from 20 miles to 50 miles away  . But in the end it was definitely a plan that came together. Once my wife and daughter go through all of her clothes, it will be complete. Thanks sb!
Excellent news!!
Congratulate your daughter for me (from a fellow alum), and then tell her to get a job!
Thank you BL...go Aggies! Can I finally un-follow all those random official UC Davis IG accounts I signed up for during orientation?

A job may be in the offing, but I kept saying that keeping all this extra furniture was only until she moved out in a couple of months. ;)
A nice return update, man!
Yes, it's easy to see the different greens from the tented plants, and that's really cool! The different effect of real vs. artificial light?
I wouldn't want to be around when those little Alien pods open up, because I've seen that movie.
Thanks GDB! I hope the grand opening of the alien pods will be a movie worth the wait. :)

Can I finally un-follow all those random official UC Davis IG accounts I signed up for during orientation?
I certainly would! Fortunately for me IG wasn't invented yet when I was there... heck, I don't even think the internet was invented yet. :laughtwo: But they somehow have my current address and phone number (fortunately land line only). I still get solicitations from them.

Anyway, here is the Tin Can Kush on day 123, flip day 22:

Speaking of the Red Dragon, here it is also on day 123, flip day 22:

I really love the looks of a new flower.

Welcome home, Shed. I'm glad you had a good but whirlwind weekend. I don't know about you but I would be exhausted after a weekend like that. Take as much recovery time as you need and my LSTing photos can wait for another day. :battingeyelashes:

Back at work and back here again! Thanks for all your good wishes, and I'll get to the quotes in a bit, but I did want to drop a big Tuesday update before it got to be Wednesday. :)

All the plants were inside for four days, and I noticed some interesting color variations on the tops of the Spring two, having been under the LEDs the whole time:

Not sure if you can see them on your screen, but the very top is more emerald green than the next layer down, which is more standard plant green.

Anyway, here is the Tin Can Kush on day 123, flip day 22:

The SNS 209 has had no effect on the fungus gnats. I mix in ½ Tbs/gallon every time I water, but they're still there every morning. Not hundreds, but about 10 or 20 each day. To kill them I spray the soil with either neem or iso/water when I take them out of the tent. Mosquito bits are next.

And lots of yellowing on the lowers, even though I have moved the GeoFlora top dress to every 10 days. Next watering I'll be switching to the nute regimen that the Red Dragon is on.

Speaking of the Red Dragon, here it is also on day 123, flip day 22:

I just moved it back up to 5g/gallon equivalent with boosted K when I watered yesterday. For those interested, the actual PPM are calculated to be:
123-28-154 with 88 Ca, 37 Mg, and 37 S. Silica remains at 50ppm.

They are both overdue for their post-stretch cleanup, but that will have to wait for the weekend.

Now let's move on to a bunch of pollen-sac pics. I don't see any pollen yet, but at 22 days post-flip it may be too early for that. I have regular pics and some less-than-stellar macro shots at the end:

The Candidas are now living in the tent so as not to possibly pollinate the growing TCK and RD flowers!

That's the plant news for the weekend, other than the fact that I watered the solo-cup clones with 2.5g/gallon nutes this morning. And there are still no visible roots on any of the Red Dragon clones. Pics tomorrow.

I hope you all had a great weekend and your week is off to a good start. I'll be catching up on what I missed soon.

:ciao:
Nice sacs!

Highya ITS,

Congrats on your pollen quest. At least you have male sacs with the promise of pollen! Persistance and perseverance win out again. Let's hope you get a lot of seeds from this! Happy Smokin'

Quick Wednesday update with the pics I left out from yesterday and a shot of the clones!

After 4 days of living under a 23w 6500K CFL (about 2' away), this is what the Summer grow looked like on Tuesday:

New growth (top and lowers) on the Chiquita Banana is coming in with a nice green color:

And here they are for the SaugaView®:

I might be topping and transplanting the Sour G this weekend (into a 75/25 soil/rinsed perlite mix), and I'll see if the CB has enough roots to justify moving it yet. I'm not sure the JH will ever get its feet under it at this point. :(

Also, I'm starting to harden off all of the clones with roots, which leaves out the three cups of Red Dragon. No idea how they can be alive and still have no visible roots!

The Spring two need watering every other day now, and they are both getting the 5g/gallon equivalent I mentioned yesterday. I'm done waiting for the GF to figure out how to green up the TCK. It's losing the lowers I try to leave on during flower. I mean, come on...look at it!

Well that's it for the trials and tribulations at Chez Shed. :thanks: for stopping by.

I certainly would! Fortunately for me IG wasn't invented yet when I was there... heck, I don't even think the internet was invented yet. But they somehow have my current address and phone number (fortunately land line only). I still get solicitations from them.
Done and done! 41 years out of college and mine still wants money from me too. :)
I really love the looks of a new flower.

Thanks HG! I headed right over as soon as I saw this post. :surf:
Nice sacs!
Takes one to know one! :) Thanks Otter.
Highya ITS,
Congrats on your pollen quest. At least you have male sacs with the promise of pollen! Persistance and perseverance win out again. Let's hope you get a lot of seeds from this! Happy Smokin'
Thank you Bode! Maybe another spray on Friday night will be the final one? We'll see...
Well thats nice to come home to , some pollen sacks hell it even makes me happy for you !!
It certainly was! Thanks sb.
Good luck transplanting, I hope there's tons of roots!
Me too! Not sure I can find a place for a 7 gallon pot with the seed-making project in the tent, so I might go smaller for now. I'll check for roots later in the week and see if it's time.

It's losing the lowers I try to leave on during flower. I mean, come on...look at it!
That, unfortunately, looks very familiar to me- Good idea making a nute change- in my limited experience (2 plants) GF plants don't come back very fast (if at all) from that yellowing/dropping leaf thing...
Mine finally stopped shedding ( :cheesygrinsmiley: ) yesterday, apx. 1 week from harvest...

After your experience losing the lowers I couldn't think of a reason to give it yet another chance, and since the Red Dragon is doing so well on the new mix it seemed to be the obvious choice!

The SNS 209 has had no effect on the fungus gnats.
Oh No. Was my ace in the hole for outdoors/soil indoors?Half a tablespoon is what it says on the bottle. Maybe @Sierra Natural Science can shed some light? Up it a bit or no?

You are a good Pop Shed.
For science!

Who knows?

None of them look super. Idk do something different. I hate starting over and i know they wanna grow.
Had to pack and load the bedroom, kitchen, and living room. And somewhere in the middle of all that she graduated from college with honors. :)
She's got your smarts. Oh No ! :D
Thanks Kis. Out of control would still be a win in my book!
Out of control is my comfort zone.
Done and done! 41 years out of college and mine still wants money from me too. :)
Can't get blood from a turnip can they Shed?

I might be topping and transplanting the Sour G this weekend
Good plan. Why not top the other two as well? Maybe that's what JH needs to jump start it.

Quickie Thursday update, quotes below!

Here are the pollen sacs this morning (flip day 24):

Chris suggested one more spray tomorrow night of some of the flowers that are lagging in the sac-making department, and then waiting for the magic to happen.

I've also got some timely pest control:

I found three of the ladybug larvae in the tent so I moved them all onto the Candida STS. Chow down little ones!

Onto the Sour G roots, of which there are not a lot for day 59  :

I think I'll move this into a 3 gallon GeoPot this weekend and top it. I'll get a pic of the roots on the other two tomorrow. It's hard to get a shot of the bottoms now because the GeoFlora falls off when I turn it over! :p

Last for the day before the quotes...Boo posted pics of her autoflowers yesterday, and I had a thought about dropping one for something to harvest while I wait for the Summer grow to run into Fall. These are my autoflower choices:
Blue Treacle Auto (grew two in fall of 2018) - 50/50
Purple Skunk Mass Auto - indica
Auto Masszar (grew one mini in spring 2018) - 50/50
NL Auto - indica
Amnesia Haze Auto (grew two in fall of 2019) - sativa dom

As you know I shy away from pure indicas, but I have grown the other three before. The Purple Skunk Mass Auto (Critical Mass) comes in at 8-9 weeks (and Boo suggested it in her thread!), so at least then I'll have something to show for my summer. :hmmmm: I might just be dropping that this weekend (if I can find the seed). Stay tuned!

Onto the quotes...
Oh No. Was my ace in the hole for outdoors/soil indoors? Half a tablespoon is what it says on the bottle. Maybe @Sierra Natural Science can shed some light? Up it a bit or no?
Dunno, maybe it just takes longer than I expected. I've been doing it for at least 2-3 weeks.
You are a good Pop Shed.
Awww, thanks Kis!
She's got your smarts. Oh No !
LOL! But not my common sense. ;)
Out of control is my comfort zone.
Yes, this I've noticed.
Can't get blood from a turnip can they Shed?
Nope, nor a radish nor a beet!
Still excited about the Red Dragon. Can't wait to see the smoke report from your wife. It's good....
I'm going to guess it will get her high. Only thing that hasn't was a CBD/THC auto mix.
Always wondered when people leave millions of dollars to their University. Guilt? Idk
For those who can track their success back to their alma maters, I get it.
I believe @Tokin Roll is using one right now.
:thanks: GDP!
there was a guy who built an array of them to mimic a cob type board. i don't think we ever heard much past veg.
Har...not a vote of confidence there then! Tokin might be having better luck.
do something different
Why not top the other two as well? Maybe that's what JH needs to jump start it.
Great minds think alike! Time to shake things up and see what happens. It worked for Carcass and double H, so it might work on these as well. Thanks!
