Sour G and Chiquita Banana are in 50/50 soil/perlite. Any more perlite and they're in hempy!

Sour G is doing fine actually. I'll probably be topping it next week.

Also, adding perlite to the bottom of a pot raises the perched water table and decreases drainage with soil.

Jack is in 75/25 soil/perlite now. They'll come around, or nah.

Lol! Free of what? I doubt there's any side roots growing but I'll take a look tomorrow and post a pic before I leave.

JH looked worse at 50/50. I moved it to a new mix.

I'll get some good pics of the RD when I get back.

No doubt! I don't have a handle on soil yet after 3 years of ProMix HP.
 
Hope they all come around! What's your soil/perlite blend? Most folks seem to be around 75/25.

Well the soil I've got already has the mixings in it, so that would make it 67/33 to mine. None of matters if the roots won't grow into it though.

I have no particular love for organic soil plants with the exception of Van's, but if this GeoFlora turns out to be more work than it looks I'll stick with my nute blend. It's working really well on the Red Dragon.

68 bucks and peat,perlite,compost can mix up a whirlwind of beautiful soil for years. Who needs pro mix.

And many of the greats play sitting down...I just watched a BB King concert on the telly and he could still make Lucille sing from his chair!
