InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Naw, if he misses it the first time through I'll find a reason to post it again now that I have him here :)

Let me get this out of the way:

:woohoo:

Ok. I want to say :thanks: to everyone who voted in the contests this month. Your participation makes the winners more representative of the site as a whole. And an enormous :thankyou: those who voted for me and made me Member of the Month for January 2018 :). I'm glad I can help. :Namaste:

It's Thursday and the weekend is becoming more than just a scent on the wind. It's starting to smell up my whole office building! AK-47 looks happy as a clam today and I sprayed a few bugs off Gold Leaf with the hose (keeping it simple for now).

And here is the baby, Sour G on day 19:

The skinny stem makes me a little nervous as the tops start to pile up. I have the oscillating fan on it at night in the shed, so it is getting its vibe on. It doesn't seem to be thickening up though. My GH Armor Si won't be here until Wednesday so not much else I can do.

I hope your Thursday goes well and accurately represents the glide path into the weekend, and thanks for voting!

[If you didn't vote last month, please do in future contests. It matters :)]

Ah just bury her some when you transplant... I that stem won't be a problem lots of people let their plants stretch out and you see all those stems thicken up as she grows.

Thanks Led! Right up to the cotyledons when it gets up-potted, but I was concerned about until then since it lost its tap root when I planted it, which may mean a delayed transplant. I'll just keep an eye on it. With my autos I would have flattened this baby out by now :).

Was it Dabber or Scientific that suggested roughing the stem up before transplant, bury stem and let more feeder roots grow out from there. I did it on either NY4 or 5 just to see. Maybe you too???

I doubt my advice is any use but if you put more direct wind on the little plant the swaying will thicken your stems.

I've got a fan blowing on it (oscillating) about 12 hours a night. Not much I can do about daytime though :).

I think it was Rooster who first suggested burying the stem with a transplant, but I was concerned about pulling it out of the solo cup too early so I took out some bottom soil, lowered it, and filled in the top about an inch. Never heard of roughing up a stem except for clones.

Re: InTheShed Grows Photos Inside & Out! 420 Clones & A Rooster Farms Seed

I think you should check the roots on the skinny stem girl.
Congrats! Well deserved!

Thanks Rider!

You mean you want me to slide the soil out of the pot to check the roots?? Damn! I do have a view into the bottom of the soil with the screen-covered cutouts so I've been checking every morning. Because of the tap-root mishap I'm guessing it might take longer than usual to fill in that cup, but I'll keep peeking in the windows :).

Haha a blast from the past jab. Lol only those who remember will understand

For those of you who missed some of the early "fun" in this grow...

Did you pull it out of its pot to check for roots? GAAAAAAH! Are you going to pester another one to death? Put the plant down and step away slowly. You'll know that it's time to transplant when roots are busting out of the drain holes in the pot.

Shed and PW! I just got caught up on all the journals I am reading. I am off to The Mad Dabbers place as he has shown great support and I want to get there and start the whole thing over again. Growing with the Devil has been a bitch to stay up with.
Oh for God's sake, TMD 101 pages!:tokin::popcorn: C'mon! Here we go...!

Congrats Shed on Member of the month. Well deserved. Always helping and showing up on everyone's journals. I'm blessed to have you show up on mine and enjoy stopping in on yours to see what's going on out in the shed.
