Morning shed! Wow that gold leaf really is kicking into gear! Seedling looks like it will pull through fine. What is your method for trimming back the Bush? Topping it or thinning it out, both? I need to do ivy today

Funny you should ask Them! It was haircut day for AK-47 and I topped and thinned, though you won't be vegging for 6 months so I'm not sure you should follow my example. You should start aiming for the shape you want because Ivy is going be heading into the tub in less than a month, no? My goal is to keep it small enough to be under control until April when I can stop moving it inside at night (after the Vernal Equinox). You will probably want to scrog it again so keep that shape in mind when you take scissors to stem.

Here is what fell on the barbershop floor. I went along every stem and cut just above the new growth at least two nodes down:
And here it is post-haircut. It's definitely shorter and less bushy tho it's hard to tell!
Here is Sour G this morning, with the leaves looking kinda droopy:

Word Doggy! I just re-read the whole thing AGAIN today. It's nice and comfy in here! I like the giving crowd you have here. Your little seedling is going to be pissed about that straw for a couple days, then she's going to get really strong. Remember I just had to do it and those plants have some STRONG stems now. That was only 12 or 15 days ago. Is that K problem clearing up on the AK?

The K problem has definitely slowed down. I see one or two leaves with it but it hasn't traveled up to the newer growth. I'll be moving up the nutes with each water so I hope that puts an end to it!

Thursday and the sun is out for now...rain on the way tonight.
It was time to move my autos from the drying box to jars, so just a few quick pics for this morning.
Here is Sour G. Sad Sour G is sad:
It is not happy I broke off the tap root. I'm keeping the soil moist to try to take some of the stress away.
And here is AK-47 with more leaves looking burned. Are we still going with K deficiency? I'll be watering this weekend with higher PPM on the Grow Big (6-4-4). Should I kick in some flower nutes with high K? Like a bit of Open Sesame (5-45-19)?

What about a Mg deficiency? It gets bound in the soil if there is an excess of N, K or Ca. Also if the soil is too wet or cold. You can spray the foliage with 2% Epsom salt and if it was Mg def, then it will start greening from the top down. Also, have you rinsed your soil? That plant has been around for a while, there may be some lockout going on down there.

Thanks Ripe! I did flush it this past weekend to get the wood ash out in case it was going to create a pH problem (being basic) and checked the PPM out. There wasn't much left in the soil when I added the ½ tsp GrowBig/gallon to it. Looking at the huge chart of Cannabis Nutrient Deficiencies & Excess it looks like low Mg never gets the burned look these leaves have, so I think I'm going to treat is as a K deficiency for now. When I water this weekend I'll up the GrowBig to 1 tsp/gallon and get the pH up in the 6.7 range. We'll see what it thinks!

That was MadDab's and Rooster's thought. And I thought that's what K was. Now I have to go look at the chart again! If it is Potassium should I aim high with some flower nutes (5-45-19) or just up the grow nutes (6-4-4)?

Nice job Rooster. Shed wouldnt take any i offered him awhile back. Grow some killer plants shed. Wish we could start some together bro. My space is occupied currently. Enjoy those rooster seeds. Grey and threatening rain today here so everyone remains in the shed! Gold Leaf is winning the healthy-plant-of-the-day award (gave it diluted veg nutes this morning) while AK-47 is showing further signs of potassium deficiency. I hope to take care of that this weekend with a mix of veg and flower nutes. Meanwhile, Sour G is still sad and has a few bugs on it this morning, so I sprayed the underside with DE. Losing the tap root was a setback for sure but it ain't dead yet!
