How about a top-of-the-page update on the canola oil spray testing I've been doing for the Powdery Mildew growing on my Candida mother!
I've been testing a 0.3% canola oil solution on the Candida mother for about 10 days now, and here is the result after the most recent 5 day interval, recommended in the study I posted back here:
And the whole mess of a plant:
It kinda looks like it removes the PM and what's left is where the PM took the chlorophyll from the leaves. I'm not seeing a lot of new PM but there is some. It could be a result of the fact that there is way too much foliage on there, particularly for a mother plant. So before I sprayed it again, I did this:
And the 5-day clock starts again. If it continues to work as it is, I'll post pics of the way I made it the mix. I've been saving that until I knew if it was at all effective!
I hope your week is going according to plan.

Similar but probably different from a meteorological perspective. Also, your fog season is way longer than our marine layer season, and probably why no one coined the phrase "sunny northern California"!Ohh it’s “Marine Layer” season as you folk down in LA like to call it? We always called in fog up in the Bay hahahahaha
I worked in Santa Monica and Hollywood for a while and thought it was hilarious when people would groan about the marine layer.
