Here's a little (if picturey) update on the aspirin-for-PM test.
I ground up an uncoated aspirin tablet and measured out 64mg per my post above on Saturday. Luckily I have a scale that measures to thousandths of a gram that I bought back when I started testing GA3 for plant reversal.
Anyway, I heated 500ml of distilled water to around 140ºF to make the powder dissolve easily:
I mixed in the aspirin powder and then added under 1/8th tsp of yucca powder as a surfactant:
After mixing that up I added 500ml of cool distilled water to get to 1L around room temp and put it in a regular spray bottle.
I'll skip the pics of the test branch on the Candida mother that I sprayed since the before and after and longer-after were all identical.
Then I took some pics of one of the drying Ruby Tuesday auto testers that I took last week to get an idea of the effect on trichomes.
BEFORE:
I dunked it in the solution, swished it around, and gently rinsed it under running water.
HERE ARE THE PICS TAKEN THE NEXT DAY AFTER AIR-DRYING:
Can anyone spot any obvious differences? I can't but I welcome other eyes. I
did notice that there weren't any of the PM spots in the after-pics, but maybe I didn't get the same areas. I'll have another look (but not post any more I promise!).
I also didn't notice a reduction in the smell of fresh cut grass after dunking.
So I've sprayed a few leaves on the Queen G auto 2, and one small lower bud to check the effect on pistils. Here's the before:
We'll see!
Thanks for following.
