InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

sorry, my computer is doing strange things. Back to posting on my phone. Sigh...
Np problem rob, hope you get it sorted soon!
Apparently I was trying to quote something from this post Feel free to ignore...
Will do. :reading420magazine:
My computer is screwy - didn't mean to respond to this post...
Ignoring that one as well...
Are they yellowing from the top down? It looks like some of the affected leaves are clawing. I'm working backwards (again) in the journal but my rookie ass would be guessing mg & ca. Would those possibilities be a correct process of elimination? I have to assume you've already considered this. I'm curious abut whether my initial questions were the right ones to ask...
There ya go!

Thanks for that idea. It's definitely from the top down but I'm not seeing the rust spots that come with both Ca and Mg deficiencies. And my mix is pretty well stocked there.

I'm thinking of a short flush this weekend and a new mix of nutes with more potassium. That's the only thing I could come up with at this point.
Frosty indeed!
:thanks:

Congratulations on your runaway victory for MOTM. Shedster for the win 🏆. CL🍀 :woohoo: :yahoo::high-five::thumb::Namaste::420:

I'm thinking K deficiency, but I'm soliciting your input!
It looks like an iron deficiency to me.

It can be caused if the PH of the soil goes above 7, usually due from excess salts, since iron gets locked out if PH goes that high. If that's the case, a good flush should set you straight.

Another cause would be excess Phosphorous which could also lock-out iron, and a flush should correct.

There are a number of other possible causes including temps, stress, and just using R/O water that lacks the minerals so you may need to review what could possibly be causing this before you take corrective action.

:goodluck:

I had a similar leaf issue, yellow leaves with necrosis beginning at the edges, a foliar with Epsom salt water cleared it up.
When the yellowing is in the lower leaves and starts in the tips, it's usually Magnesium deficiency which can be cured with Epsom salts. Yellowing at the new growth, starting at the base of the leaves, indicates iron deficiency and epsom salts won't cure that. Although, if the cause is simply a lack of iron and not something like lock-out, Cal-Mag should work since it also has iron.

:Namaste:

I’ve typed this and deleted it a bunch of times 😅

New to growing and strictly coco with brand nutes so probably very different.

But if you smash the Ph low (I mean 4.4) you might find what the plants are looking for.

You lose cal/mag N remains pretty stable but gain in Phos and some other sometimes overlooked stuff, Iron et al.

But I can be a boron at times.

I have a favourite graph if you want to see - but yeah you know that!

Wednesday update greetings! I messed up the timer on the tent so no pics of the winter grow, but I did run slurry tests before I put them to bed last night (and forgot to reset the timer).

Here are the results. Amnesia Lemon Kush at 6.0:

And Le Creme CBG (the problem child) at 6.5:

ALK is a little low but the LeC is certainly in a normal range, so it's not a pH problem.

That leaves flushing and a new nute mix as the best approach. If the weather is better tomorrow I'll do that in the morning.

In other news, the LeC clone I put in the @Azimuth perlite/soil SWICK cup needed water, so I put it in a cup of nutes deep enough to cover the air hole:

After a few minutes I tipped it slightly to make sure there was an air gap between water and the soil above the perlite and put it back on the desk. So far it's growing about the same as the three that are planted in the other solo cup. I'll get some pics of the group tomorrow.

That's all from here. Take care of yourselves and each other!

Thank you Captain! I felt a little more confident in that one last night than on the NOTM. :nervous-guy:
They should hook you up temp so you can cook a meal and dream of using your new tops I think. 2 weeks is a while. Are you tipping in weed?
Turns out they're fine with me hooking the stove up in the meantime so I'll do that tonight. Then this weekend I can decarb some CBGa and make oil in the oven as well!

I only asked one guy if he smoked but he said no. I gave him some Sour G for a buddy though. :)

Thanks Rhino! Epsom salt is sulfur and magnesium and I'm pretty sure it's neither of those. :hmmmm:

Thanks Mr K, I hadn't considered iron, though I have plenty in our hard water plus what's in the nutes. But a good flush and reset are definitely in the cards!

I don't think it's excess P with my formula. I've been under 30ppm the whole grow.
Sorry ur having to live like a cave man and now 2 more weeks !!
Lol thanks sb! More like 3 or 4.
ditto what smokesbetter said
Thanks Carmen. :)

If I smash it with 4.4 nutes, the soil will make it 6.5 within 60 minutes through the magic of buffering!
But I can be a boron at times.
LOL! I actually had a boron deficiency a few years back...coulda used you then. :slide:

I know where to find that. ;)
Congrats on MOTM Shed! Altho a lot of the help you give folks is beyond my understanding, I appreciate the time and consideration you give in your replies.
And I'm lost in your talk of worm wee, sorry leachate. :cheesygrinsmiley: Thanks Stunger!
Congratulations Shed on MOTM and NOTM.
Thank you GG... something about March coming in like a lion!

Congrats on the well deserved dual win, Shed!
That NotM was a bit of a nail biter, eh?
