She seems to be growing well despite her encounter with some nasty pest. :grinjoint:

I'll be feeding her when I water her a little later today. I'll be switching her nutes to from the 10-15-10 to the Orchid Bloom Booster 11-35-15, starting off at 1/4 strength as per the directions on the package.

Oh, and seedlings will most likely be transplanted this weekend...

Thanks for following! :smokin:

Seedling problems...

I changed my mind, ;) I fed the female 10-15-10 today when I watered. I'm going to do a flush before I switch to flowering nutes, will probably flush this Sunday and switch to flowering nutes with the next watering.

Arrrrrg, the some of seedlings are showing signs of nute lock, or ph is screwed or... something (?)...

Symptoms:
Brunt yellowing lower leaves, burned from the center out.
New growth is yellowish green on some plants and purple on others
Some of the plants are drooping a bit

I have to go find that sticky post and look this s*** up!

oh, here's pics (i had just misted the plants so they're wet)...

Getting more PH test strips tomorrow and will flush once more with ph corrected water.
If that doesn't clear it up I guess I'll go ahead and transplant.

Any comments or suggestions? :ganjamon:

Construction Update

Closet is painted, shelves are out in the shop drying. It's 5 am again (at least it's Friday night this time) and I'm smoking a bowl and going to bed.

Update w/ pics

Grow cabinet is entering the final stages of completion.
Paint is done, shelves are in place, fan is back in place, power strip 1 of 2 is in place... I just have to manufacture and install the door (that part will not be documented for security reasons, sorry.)

I put the female in the new cabinet tonight with the fan running, and I will be checking temp once more before I go to bed.

Man this painting is taking forever! Can't wait to see it up and running.

I know, lol, watching the paint dry has been driving me crazy, especially sense I have limited time to work on this project. ;)

pic - female in the new grow cabinet

I checked temps a moment ago cabinet temp was 74-75 degrees with the lights off.

here's a pic of the female in the new grow space...

i was smoking and i was thinking, it's about high time this pretty girl had a proper name...
i'm stoned and delirious (it's 4am). :grinjoint:

Her name will be...
Jeri Main

yeah...

huh, sounds like a porn star name... hah!

okay enough of that, i'm smoking one more bowl, then sleep. :smokin:

Re: InhaledFreq 1st documented grow (2nd actual grow) Popcorn bagseed Indoor closet c

Reading several journals, I've seen at least two recuring themes. Budgets bust, and available space is overwhelmed. As a break from watching paint dry, you could watch grass grow at a golf course. At least there you can work out some issues whacking on the ball. Nice reptile that I am, I'll restrict my unsolicited advice to the frivolous, for now.

The golf course sounds pretty nice right about now...
Maybe I'll be able to afford a country club membership now, with all the money I save by growing my own on the cheap. :grinjoint:
I always welcome advice, especially from reptiles. ;)

Update w/ pics

Today's update - 1 of ?

The top flowering shelf is complete!

Cabinet temp is holding at 76° F (same as the rest of the house) w/ lights on

I had to rig the cords with twist ties to keep them off the lights, will need to install hooks or something to help manage all the power cords.

I'm not really happy with the amount of space the fan is taking up, but that's just the way it is for now. Eventually I would like to put in one of those super quiet $100-$300 bathroom exhaust fans.

Jeri Main has been in her new home all day and seems to love it. :smokin:

Re: InhaledFreq 1st documented grow (2nd actual grow) Popcorn bagseed Indoor closet c

Very cool, good to see her in her new home. What color temp are those CFL's?

Five are 2700k, and one of the bulbs in the middle is a 4200k.

Not happy with the fans... Any ideas?

I'm not happy with the fan setup...

Any suggestions (that don't require spending a lot more money)?

I'm thinking about removing the cage, etc and mounting up inside the duct...

Re: InhaledFreq 1st documented grow (2nd actual grow) Popcorn bagseed Indoor closet c

If you screw that fan to the cabinet at the duct outlet, you risk amplfying fan vibrations. That thing ain't pretty, but if it works put off fixing it till some day when you need some drama.

Re: InhaledFreq 1st documented grow (2nd actual grow) Popcorn bagseed Indoor closet c

Can you do the opposite of what you have? I think you could mount it in the duct as long as you secure it with some sort of bushing. Maybe somehow suspend it with those rubber straps you have? Just throwing out ideas.
