A graduated shot glass works very well, for 2 to 6 plants....or even more if you refill it a couple times.

Measure the liquids ONCE! then just use one of the bottle caps...eye it up...pour it in your feed water, give it a shake...done...:blunt:....Absolutely NO need to measure every single time....just see what it looks like in a 'cap' , then just use one of those every time! Yep. I just pour it right out of the bottle.
 
It takes about 1.5 gals to saturate a 10 gal pot. That's about 13-15 lbs of water. Don't know how much it weighs dry, but shouldn't be much more than the water I'd figure, so the 30-40lb suggestion should be ballpark accurate.

Yep, it's completely safe. Just wash everything before you eat it....like with veggies.

either...or both. I like to submerge the smaller veg containers and top water/saucer water the larger bloom containers.
