Ilikebike's Pure Power Plant Soil Grow!

there was a lilttle bit of white spots on one of the c lones ,i thought it might be mold too, i guess i will stop misting them. they are in the aero cloner so of course they are still gettin water but we just put it on a 15 mintue interval timer so that should help some. i will call the shop tomorrow about the light, i feel like the light is fine it just has something to do with my ballast, because its not a grow light ballast its a job site ballast for temporary lighting and it has built in thermal protection, the bulb is gettin way to hot and i think the ballast is shutting down because of it, i am going to consider bringing ti back to the shop and trying another bulb in it but if it doesnt work this time that means i need a new ballast

ok so the 4 clones are doing great! Tons of white roots on the bottom, slight yellow discoloring on edges of leaves (probly a good sign that the roots are pullin nutrients from the leaves). i am going to the store tommarow to get happy frog soil and i will trasplant the clones into new containers soon and put them under a 18/6 light cycle.

my 400 watt hps light system is in the mail and i just sent the payment for a 5'x4'x2' grow tent should be here by Wednesday or Thursday. We will then put the new clones into the grow tent.

Yes i will have pictures as soon as everything starts coming together, but i will try to post pics when i transplant the clones!

Question:
when i transplant the clones to soil should i start them in small containers then transplant them again into bigger containers? Or can i just transplant the clones right into the big container? any help would be great thanks!

Side Note:
Approximately 16 days have passed since i actually took my clones, not to mention i moved them from peat plugs to aerocloner so that probably added some stress and shocked the cutting. but this just goes to show you how a newbie grower like myself can go from being scared to cut my plant, to doing hours of research online about cloning MJ, to building an aeroponic cloner (thanks to TOG) and having beautiful white roots in no time! this is living proof that any one can do it!

heres some pics to hold you guys over till the new light and tent come!

Im going to start a new journal for the 4 PPP clones and will be starting a few different strains soon!

Roots baby!

Hey bike how are the girls looking?.....and that last blue cheese you got looked amazing....pics my man.....word. :peace:

Plants are doing good as of sunday night. I just got my ballast in the mail today that i ordered through ebay and the guy sent me a MH ballast instead of a HPS. Good news is he is going to send the ballast out free of charge on two day shipping and hes letting me keep the old mh ballast so i basicly got 2 ballast for the price of 1. The reflector itself is huge should do a good job of penetrating the canopy. Another good thing is i have a MH to HPS conversion bulb so i can put that in the flowering room tonight until the actual ballast comes. Tent should be arriving tomorrow, ill have pictures up tonight probably, thanks for checking in!

PICS UPDATE!!!

So we put the new ballast in the grow room, hung the reflector and screwed the 360watt mh to hps conversion bulb and everything looks great. The temps how ever went up about 15*F. Im thinking of buying a big inline fan that sucks alot of air, it just cant be to loud because of neighbors. Going to do a little shopping tonight ill keep ya updated!

Kick ass ILB. PPP is running hard for you and a pretty plant it is. I don't know if you have ever smoked any PPP but it is a fine smoke in itself. Sour Jack, is that a cross from sour diesel and Jack Herrer?

D.RW Thanks for the kind words, i myself have never smoked PPP so you can imagine im very excited, i hear nothing but good things about this strain and its yield, thats why i ordered em. And you guessed it, that sour jack is a cross strain between SD and JH. A buddy of mine knows some one who has been growing organic herb in soil for a while now, so he got bored and started breeding plants, Taste and smells mad good, and the high is so Uppy that you wouldn't identify it as indica dominate but when you grind up the bud you can spell that spiciness of the jack herer. Only problem is i have to pay out the ass for it

plants are looking great man, I want to grow some of that PPP very soon

Hey bike I'm glad you got this up and running again...plants look amazing....word...

gotta be one of the easiest plants to grow. I dont have alot of experience with different strains but so far we havent had any problems with this plant. Nirvana seeds is where i got mines.

Hey thanks alot CV! glad you came to check everything out! I took clones from these 2 ladies and the cuttings are rooted and are in soil right now in the veg room. Cant wait to harvest this grow though, getting very excited and i still have a month or 2 to go. Gonna try so more strains soon so keep in touch. The begeinning of december i will be able to focus more time and money into the grow op so things are really gonna start BLOOMING!:circle-of-love:

good to hear, I've grown 4 strains from nirvana and all have been great plants, good solid genetics for sure

Here is what it boils down to, Size Constraints. What I mean by that is Do you have plenty of space to Veg your girls? If so. Start them in a bigger pot(1-3 Gal) Cut out the transplant phase and go directly into the bigger pots to reduce stress from transplant.

Now if you don't have space start them in 16oz cups and work your way up when you free up some space. That's is what I do but I am so far behind schedule I have to keep up the watering and feeding on my girls in 160z cups because they are close to being rootbound but I need to make room to transplant.(Which is why I am building a new cabinet.)

Glad to see you are having great results. When you built your the next day after me mentioning it to you it kinda drove me to build my own. I'm sure you seen it. :thumb:

Everything Is looking great on your end. Simply beautiful. I will check on your new Journal ASAP. I have been very busy with things and just haven't had time to myself lately. Between the harvest, life, and weekly projects+ money issues, I haven't had much time for forum browsing. Hopefully after the holidays, things will return to normal.:thumb:
