My Record of 2 hours and 37 minutes too the Buffalo Bills Parking Lot from La Habra CA.. I think our avg speed was 127 mph but we did have to stop once for fuel...

Glad you had fun mang, always go downtown and play some craps at the Horseshoe, they give you 100x odds on the outside!! unlike the dorks uptown who only give you 10x..

Yeah it was a fun drive... our company rented a few of those large passenger vans, and somehow all the "cool" people were on my van..haha we all were the tokers one of the guys had some very strong jolly rancher style edibles and it made for a nice trip... I think we took about 4 hours to get back, (max speed in the vans was like 85) lol And stopped for food and gas once... but overall was a fun trip...


But I'm pissed... I was so happy to come back to the area and the higher humidity as a week in the desert killed my throat and sinuses and come to find were having high winds, high temps and no humidity... lol I think I brought that desert weather here with those darn offshore winds again...LOL...

oh how I love <5% humidity..haha

As promised here are some photos of the EX Veg tent girls with normal lighting. They look pretty darn healthy...

My GSC gets really ugly when topped a few times, as you see in the middle, she is growing like a vine.... after the photos I chopped all that weird underbrush off so now she is just one main branch... LOL

I have to say these all blue LEDs are pretty amazing, as far as how fast they grow plants in veg... I mean fast!!!

I had to chop the churchberry down about 8" tonight because she keeps wanting to just grow like crazy and in just about a week gained that 8"...

I still need to figure out a solution for being able to see my plants under regular light, because the blue is so blue that it plays tricks on the eyes and is very very hard to see any deficiencies, therefore I may have to rig some kind of CFL or something in there... wish they had and all white daisy chain light I could throw in there... (hint hint Advanced led

I was going to clone the girls tonight and still thinking about it, so I may have some more updates later...

So I have a little airsoft gun that I mess around with sometimes and I found one of the BB's on the floor..... I noticed it when I opened my VEG tent with the all blue lights.... under normal white light the BB's are just regular orange but under the EX Veg lights it seems they glow quite bright which makes me wonder if they are throwing off UV light... I don't have a UV detector to know, but here are the photos of the BB under white light and then under the EX veg... you will see the difference.

Anyhow.. I know we can't really see UV light, but I wanted to pull out my home made spectrometer to see what these different LED's were putting out.. Its far from a professional spectrometer, but it does help break up the light into visible bands so that you can see the spectrum like a prism would do.

Here is how to make one..

So here is the XTE light as I currently am running it... VEG 100%, Bloom about 50% on the dials

Well Just finished taking clones of all the plants in the flowering tent, even though I only plan on keeping the Black Cherry Cola, Blue dream and University Hills OG, I took clones of the rest just in case I change my mind or somehow see the fake GDP/Purple Urkle that is GSC express different traits or something... but otherwise they will be scrapped after this grow is over...


So you know what that means!!! Its about to be flowering time!!!

I am going to wait a few more days before the flip...but it will be very soon!

Well folks.... I made an executive decision tonight and decided to switch my black cherry cola out of the flowering tent, and replace it with the churchberry. I really wanted to flower the black cherry cola, but since I don't plan on keeping the churchberry I figured I would flower it instead of wasting a plant, and since I am going to keep the black cherry cola, I decided to put it with the other genetics I am keeping under the all blue EX Veg lights.

So here is the switch.... flowering tent front left plant, swapped with front left in veg tent.

Hey Ice.....just seen you had a new journal.....here for another great journey......wow.....3 XTEs....crazy amount of light.......i had to lower the power on mine to about 1/2 as all the colas in the core were bleachinglol......that's at 14"......and i dont have anymore room to go up.....so hopefully that will help.....hopefully will be ordering another next month to finish off the flower room.....

Greenz keep em at full just tie them down a bit to lower them to the height the other tops are at its highest but not bleaching
just a thought that way the lower areas still have good par

Yeah these XTE's really put out some intense light. Mine were bleaching at around 12" or so, with full power on. I probably will have to dial them down on this grow too, but I will start flowering with full and see how they adjust. I definitely am really happy to have these XTE's though... really nice LED's!

Yeah the BB on the floor was glowing as it would under a blacklight...so there has to be some UV coming from them... even though the cree charts don't show it... the plastic bb definitely makes me wonder only if I had a UV meter lol....maybe will have to put it on the wish list

Hey everyone!!!!

Well I was hoping to have some exciting news this weekend as I wanted to flip them to flowering, but I found out mid week that my company is sending me back to vegas for the week to work another trades show. So I decided I am going to wait to flip them until I get back because I fear that they will start stretching out of control and suck of water. With me not being here for about 5 days I don't want to risk it.

I am going to turn off the red channel while I am gone, as I did in the past to slow the photosynthesis down and help them not use as much water. It worked last time so hopefully they will be all good this time. I checked the humidity forecast and it seems that the humidity is going to remain the normal 50% so I won't have to worry about them being dry.

I gave them a good foliar spray tonight with some water I had bubbling with azomite and gypsum in it and a few drops of yucca extract. I added to the foliar spray some PGR and Amaze, as well as carboload, some silicon dioxide, and some micronutrients.

I didn't feed them today since they were still slightly moist from yesterday so I will wait until monday morning before I leave to give them a good drench and then they should make it through the week

The veg tent with the all blue EX VEG lights is also looking really good, I also sprayed those plants with the foliar spray and again will wait until monday morning to water them.


Well not much else to report on but I won't be updating until friday night or saturday. I really was hoping to try to get to the cannabis cup but because of work I wasn't really able to make plans... so if I'm not beat from the long week in vegas, I am going to try to go...
