Thanks Icemud.

Love the setup! very clean! glad that my V-Scrog lives on :) I shall be bringing it back after my next flowering grow.. :)

Hey Everyone!!!

Sorry I have been MIA for the past few days...been trying really hard to find a new job, preferabbly one in the industry. I did manage to interview with a very popular "dispensary mapping" company, but haven't gotten a call back which is very surprising given my industry experience, but ohh well, not getting my boxers in a bunch over it.. :)

I also interviewed with a very well known edible company and so I am hopeful to be considered as it is a good opportunity.

I find it hard to want to work in any industry that is not 420 related since this is where my love and interest is, so hopefully luck will find me and the universe will open up another possibility soon :) I would love to work for a LED company, not specific to growing, but so I can get even more deep into the dynamics of LED builds and the details :) Ohh I would love that :)

Well got my green thumbs crossed for a good opportunity, wish me luck :)

---- On another note..... Day 31 of flowering is here! wow time is flying by :)

I have to say I am very impressed so far at how my plants are looking :) So far they are pretty healthy, tons of trichomes, and starting to fatten up quite a bit and build in size and girth :) sweet!!!

I did some re-arranging of the position of the plants in the tent, and I moved both my sativa heavy plants to the middle (blue dream and churchberry) and moved the Ogiesel to the left front of my tent. I also found a solution to raise the Ogiesel up towards the lights that worked perfectly as it was suggested to me a few weeks back :) so now she is basking in 1000+ uMol of LED photon love!

This week for feeding I gave the girls a dose of earthjuice tea, and today will be the last day of feeding the tea, and then the girls will be getting a compost tea followed by a dose of synthetics by dogget simppson... The plants really seem to like the tradeoff between the synthetic nutrients and organics every other feeding :) so I will keep it up for this grow and see how they turn out :)

Other than that, i have noticed my Ogiesel is showing soome cal issues, so I upped the feeding of Cal/mag this week as well, and hit the girls with a epsom salt foliar spray.... what was amazing was after the epsom salt foliar feeding, the girls smell increased 10 fold :)

Well other than that, here are today's photos...

I will update my veg tent photos and details later when the tent comes on...

Hang in there as long as you can for a job in the "industry", Ice.

So few of us are ever lucky enough to do for a living what we truly love...it should be worth trying to make it happen.

Oh yeah...and your plants are looking great so far!

Yeah I am trying to secure something solid, but may have to settle until an opportunity opens up... I just cringe at having another job sitting at a desk and computer banging on phones smiling and dialing... (yep, I screwed myself with 14 years of sales)....

Every job I go to for anything but sales, they say..well you would be good at this opportunity, but with your sales experience, we would like you to do sales...uuuugggggg...

There is nothing more depressing than calling 100's of people a day, who don't want to talk to you, and getting rejected 99 of the 100 calls just to make a commission.... it makes me want to go home and just not talk to anyone for an hour or so...lol

unless...it was sales in the 420 industry, in which then I could actually get excited about selling something I care about... they say the best sales successes are people selling what they believe in :)

I am actually hoping to land some kind of Lab position, or technical position which is what my beautiful brain is more geared towards. I always feel these "coorporate jobs" just suck the life out of me, and I thrive in areas where I can use my analytical and creative abilities to the max... so hopefully I will land something soon in one of these areas.... definitely makes me want to go back to school and finish up my Mechanical Engineering degree which I started 10 years ago and never finished.. only time and drive will tell :)

...and don't forget that wonderful maxim of the sales industry...

"It's not what have you done for me, it's what have you done for me today"

Did sales for a number of years myself...if I had to do some of that shit now, that I did in some past years I'd swallow some trans-sonic lead.

Just did a new video update of my grow....enjoy!!1

Another great video, Thanks. Things are looking great in your garden.

With your video camera can you set up a custom white Balance or try shooting at a Cloudy or shady setting which are 6000K and 7000K I tried this under my LED lights and the pictures came out great. Just a suggestion.

Fun for All.

Hey everyone!

Day 33 of flowering.

Just a quick photo update...

Well the humidity is back down to under 10% so will be keeping the humidity up by humidifer and wet towels. It seems always right around this time of year the winds come off the desert and bring extremely dry air, but it only lasts usually a few days and back to normal 50%. I am just really glad that I am in mid flowering and not harvesting, as I have ruined crops by harvesting when its this dry...so whew...dodged a bullet :)

I did start picking out which 6 plants will make the next round for flowering, but still not completely sure which ones. Most likely I will be doing University Hills OG, mystery kush, blue dream, GDP, GSC, and black cherry cola, but I am not for sure yet. My veg tent looks much more open now that I have removed some plants and put them into my 3rd tent for now, and I will be only keeping 6 plants in the veg tent after I make the decision, the rest will be mothered until further grows.

After deciding which ones I will be running next, they will be repotted into 5 gallon plastic pots and then remain in veg until my flowering tent is ready in about 1 month.

The flowering tent is looking really good right now, the buds are definitely fattening up and getting larger and frostier by the day. I am extremely happy so far at how things are looking in the tent.

This next feeding is a mix of organic/carbon sources for the soil, so I used R/O water with hydrolyzed fish, humic acid, earthjuice grow, 0-10-0 with 10% Ca bloom by humboldt nutrients, and a spoonful of molasses. I wanted to re-introduce some organic compounds to the soil so the ladies have something to carry them through the remainder of flowering, as well as I have been alternating organic and synthetic nutrients to try something new.

Here are the photos for today..

Hey Ice I'm just catching up here and reading about your job thing. Engineering can get you a lot of places. Mechanical you could work with designing AC/heating/ventilation systems for the big growers and the little guys too, also since yer into engineering LED lighting is taking off. I do electronics for fun (build audio tube amps from scratch for an example) and went to school for civil engineering and got caught up doing systems engineering with computers for big corp so know where you are there. I got fed up with corporate America and got into small business building/design in tile and natural stone and never looked back, so yah you can do it. In my electronics hobby I got into LED diodes and use them in my circuit design so I learned a crap load about then, enough to know the industry is just getting started. Right now I could design and build my own lights very easily, there's really not that much to them, the case is the challenge. My point is go for the small business route in the industry, there's a niche you will find and fit in and get it going. I'm pretty much doing what I'm doing - learning how to grow as I'm planning for my future where I don't have drive a car to a job every day and grow and do electronics out in the woods with some sheep and goats and a big ass garden. I'll make it happen and so will you, just find the way bro.

Those girls are looking freaking awesome too - you got a green thumb for sure....

Cheers

Thank you so much Bobrown for your wise words and sharing that with me. I too would love to just start my own small business and not have to work for "the man" again and rather just do what I love and make a living off it. I definitely see a future in LED lighting and growing for myself so I think my next smartest move would be to up my game in electronics technologies because I have always been fasinated with how things work, and how to build things. Being a problem solver is in my nature so I know all of this will definitely lead me to my future, I just have to remember to be open minded and optimistic and work towards making those things a reality. I too share a similar dream of some day have a nice sized property, enough to have a large workshop, garden for veggies and food and for herbs :) and a huge pond to relax at and throw in a line to catch dinner :) Anyhow, I really appreciate you sharing your insight with me and it helps me to realize my dreams aren't that far, and really its just putting together my interests into a revenue generating machine :)

Congrats on your harvest Ice
And I too had the same issue going on in my Bloom tent under LEDs. After upping the Cal/Mag dosage as prescribed by Judge John in Denisse's journal all new growth is healthy after only 2 feedings. What's your ratio of epsom salt you used for the foliage spray?
