Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing & Review

Re: Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing And Revi

With autos the flower in a regular cycle. Autos produce a lot less then a normal photoperiod plant. True you could do 12/12 but the yields would be so insignificant at that point it just wouldnt even be worth the electric bill. Personally I would do 23 on 1 off. The 1 off wouldnt reduce the electricity cost to much but its more to preserve the lights. Big irish can answer as well. I was just giving you my take since you have posted your question about 10 hours ago.

BID, I'm sorry to propose a dumb question but; you can put the autos under either veg or flower schedule and it has no effect on the way they grow?
I've got the greatest spouse also - for 35 years!

I've seen a conversation about this on another thread. I think it was light addict saying he had an auto that went for four months with an eight or twelve hour light. Whoever it was ended up getting 6.5 ounces. Their thinking is autos may be grown not in number of days required but so many light hours are required. They were talking about experimenting with this ideas.

well i have grown out a few dozen various autos in the past 4 years some in the veg tent some in flower for me and the strains i have grown i got decent results either way they seem to finish quicker on 12/12 to me my logic it if they were in nature they would perceive the 12 hrs of light as closer to winter and they hurry to the finish, i one strain under 20/4 light/dark and it got really big
and did not flower till i increased the dark to 6 hours then it flowered fast like 6 weeks, sorta a semi-autoflower, some others produced the same amount under 18/6 as they did under 12/12, i recommend not doing anything to them like topping, supercropping maybe just a little lst, anything that causes stress reduces harvest, and breeding is a must due to their high cost imho, i like to do cs and make fem seed with at least one female , so i think its got alot to do with the strain, i like that while your vegging your regular strains you can have some autos in the background chugging along making the meds you may need to get you thru while waiting on the reg plants, i have gotten as much as 4oz from one of these little giants, i like that they are by nature very tough plants very disease, pest, heat and cold resistant and rarely need much nutrients the ruderallis plant is adapted to some of the harshest environments in the world, thats my takes on them i do really see them having a valuable place in any garden due to their versatility i like to run some along with my regular strains it adds some bonus meds and variety in the middle of the cycle :headbang:

Wow Bid, great reply! That is the first time I've ever understood why anyone not growing in a PC case would be interested in Autoflowers! I've got a lot of new insight into autos now, thanks to you. :bravo:

Hey everyone, I wanted to do a quick update of the tent over the last week.

So far the plants have really enjoyed their new soil and seem at home :) They have grown significantly larger by the day and the health looks pretty good. I noticed a few "rusty" spots on the leaves appear before the transplant, so hopefully the new soil will help correct that. I am getting a T and J tea ready tonight and they will be fed tomorrow. No other additives, just t and j and yucca extract.

Overally I am very happy with the plants progress so far under these lights and it shouldn't be long before they go into flowering. I will be gone out of town for most of next week, so if you don't see me answering posts or updating, don't worry, Ill be back next week tuesday. :)

Well here are the photos for the plants as of this evening, (the lights were already dimmed to about dark period)

Re: Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing And Revi

Hey everyone, thank you for the compliments!!! Wow I was Jet lagged and tired yesterday, but the trip was a success. My brother is happily married and the wedding was beautiful!!! Was so proud to be his best man!

Well as for the Intelligent Gro lights...I am amazed. I came back from my trip (about 1 week) and the ladies were about 6" or taller and more bushy than when I left... They are loving the I-gro lights! Should be just a matter of time before I flip to flowering and probably about 2 weeks I would say.

Last night when I got home, I fed the girls because they looked pretty hungry/dry and so I just mixed up some regular R/O water with no additives and fed them all.

I also supercropped all of the branches that were shooting upwards and tall, so that more tops could form over the next 2 weeks before flowering. I will also be taking clones of each of the girls as well as removing the Ogiesel mother from the tent before I go into flowering.

I also noticed that the ladies smell amazing, very fragarent, and very potent, not sure if its the lights, but with the extra blue end and wider bands in the diodes, I have a feeling this is why they really are giving off a strong fragerance already :)

Re: Icemud's Grow 8.0 - New Intelligent-Gro LED - 2 x IGRO-228 LED - Testing And Revi

looking very good ice! :rocker: im noticing rust and yellow spots too im wondering if its the leds i have heard they can use alot more cal & mag im hoping thats it . hope your having a great trip :headbang:

Hey BID, I saw the rust spots too and wasn't really sure if it was lack of Ca and Mg or that I may have to much P which tends to lock up Ca and Mg. I only saw it on some of the lower leaves though and the new growth looks fine so I hope that I have corrected it. I know the T and J teas have a high Ca content so hopefully that has been what has corrected it, but I guess time will tell. The soil itself was loaded with a lot of Calcium Carbonate and gypsum so hopefully the plant hasn't used it all up already.... Let me know if you figure out a solution :)
