So here is the photo update I promised

I gave the girls a foliar spray of the Amaze and PGR and I lowered the amounts I was using since it seems to me the foliar spray caused spotting on the leaves (not a stain) but more of a burn. I decided to mix only 1/2 oz of Amaze for 1/2 gallon of water and 1/2 oz of PGR for the same amount of water. I added ADV Nut carboload since I forgot to pick up dextrose and sprayed the girls.

Other than that nothing else besides more repositioning of the branches in the screen was done.

love the vids i am so lazy about doing them i hate my upload speed it takes 8 hours for a 10 min vid, i cant believe i missed this journal till a few days ago,been getting caught up, i wish it was easier for me to get down under a scrog but its not possible for me to kneel my kneecaps are shattered and non existant, i have to pull them out and put them on a stool to work on them, not enough height to raise the floor of the tent, my shop roof is not quite 8ft tents are 7ft , so yeah
bliimit is wikked shiz i use half to 3/4 oz to 32oz distilled and a tbps dextrose and still get some minor spots anywhere the beads sit 10 min or more the finer and lighter you mist the better, pgr/amaz are much gentler and you can go heavier if you like,
on the subject of seeds i think simple is best i used to do the paper towel method, but now i use root plugs i never soak them for some reason when i do that they dont do as well, i do this, stash them in the fridge for a week to a month depending on age old seeds 5 or more years i just keep them in an airtight container with a few sillica gel packs i save from products i buy like shoes and vitamins, then i get them out let them get to room temp i have an old rx bottle i rolled up a piece of 80 grit sand paper and put inside i shake and roll the seeds around in there for 5-10 min then i pop them into root plugs in the dome and on top of a seedling heat mat i fill it with aged tap water i put a couple drops superthrive and a tsp liquid kelp in the water i tear off a corner of the plug and stuff it in the hole over the seed in a spray bottle i have some distilled water ,st,kelp and t&j tea just a drop of st and a tsp of the other 2, once a day i mist each plug a tiny bit and try to keep it at 74f-77f the whole time i have sprouts in 8-72hours at a rate of about 99% not to far off from your last attempt somebody told me the glass of water thing will drown many strains before they crack and that even some that do produce a taproot its already to late they have already been starved of o2, i know many ppl have great success with this method, but i didnt , just thought i would share my method and opinion , well im late but subbed im a terrible stalker but my heart is in the right place lol

Hey BID!!! Glad you could make it over here!! Happy to have you! Yeah I feel ya about the scrog and bending over, when I was a youngster I was a wrecklass athlete and always ended up banging or slamming my knees from BMX or skateboards or football or whatever so mine are just getting to the point where I can bend down, but getting back up is definitely painful and not comfortable, but I figure as long as I keep crawling under to a minimum, the pain is worth the 3x-4x larger yield.

Yeah those sprays are Amazing for sure, I am definitely glad I picked them up and it seems that the plants respond almost instantly to the sprays. Other than the leaf spotting, they plants seem very healthy and are growing rapidly but still lacking the high brix shine that I have seen in the past...must have a bad soil mix going or something ?? oh well, still im sure I will have a great finish on this one

Glad you are here BID, I have had the worst of luck with seeds popping and growing. I so far have no problem getting the seeds to pop, but once I put them in the soil, they just don't ever come through the surface and show their leaves, its almost if they just die. I might have too hot of a soil mix or really not sure, but may have to try the plugs again. I did the paper towel method to pop the seeds, put it on my gas range stove since the pilot light keeps the top fairly warm, so the paper towels were put on a napkin, on a plate, seeds sandwiched between the paper towels, and sprayed daily to keep moist but not drenched. Got 3 of 8 to pop, which wasn't bad considering the seeds were very old, but then once I put them into the soil, about a week has gone by and still nothing popping through the soil. I put the seed point down (my mistake as I read points should be up) and only put them down about 5mm, just enough to cover the seed. The soil gets sprayed 1x daily to keep it moist, but not drenched, and they are also on my stove to keep the soil warm and with a CFL bulb shining down on them. I will keep waiting but may have to try the root plug method again. I think when I did it before, the holes I did not make wide enough and the seed was having problems opening and rotating in the plug. I may have to try with bigger holes next run.

Also, picked up some coloidal silver the other day 50ppm. It was cheaper to buy it pre made than making it since I don't have any silver here, nor any connectors, wires or 9v batteries, so I decided buying it would be fine. I picked up some cobalt spritzing bottles too so that I don't have to use the big bottle and can just dump what I need in the small spritzers. I don't know when, but I may be very soon starting a breeding project so I can not only keep the genetics I have around, but also make my own crosses I know you are the man that is pro at this so when the time comes, I may have some questions for you.

whats up ice mud i got approved for mmj last month and been taking a good look at all the different grows on line including yours
i just bought my whole set up the start of the year based on your success with marsII leds heres how it looks
10x5 tent only using half the tent now so 5x5
1200w marsII from sara
10 plants in air pots 2/3coco 1/3perlite
i hope i have as much success as your having with these leds i just set up my 420mag account today so im new to the forum and this is my 1st time grow
and thanks for putting all this stuff out there so other people can learn from it and educate them self's lots of cool stuff to read and look at

it seems like every thread or grow that i have gotten into and found helpful, somewhere along the line, I saw you following too. I've started to go through this grow but haven't gotten far yet.

I cheated on this grow report and did the old "scroll through quickly to the picture and video entries" trick, now i'm reading my way through. i hope to be able to do a soil led grow soon, still working out how to get approval from the better half. i want to approximate what you and LA are doing. I don't plan to start out brixing, i think i will supersoil like jon705 did. looking forward to how this grow goes for you. best of luck.

Hey everyone!! Hope you all are having a great start to the week! Here is an update of my garden. So far things are looking really good in my Scrog/flowering tent and the plants are starting to fill up the screen nicely. I would say right now the screen is nearing 25% full, shouldn't be too long from now until I flip to flowering and take clones I'd say probably about 2 more weeks.


2 days ago I mixed up another feeding since the girls have been pretty thristy lately and today I fed them. The mix was to add organic matter to the soil to help feed the microbes as well as give a slight N boost to the plants. I mixed up 5 gallons of R/O water with:

5tsp of Earthjuice Grow 2-1-1
3tsp of Earthjuice Bloom 0-3-2
20ml of 2-3-1 General Organics hydrolyzed squid.

This mix was bubbled for 48 hours and fed to the girls today...

So here are the photos of the Scrog screen....

Also, I have exciting news!! I have decided to expand my genetics today and found some clones of some strains I have been seeking for a while. I have wanted to grow a high CBD strain and so I have had my eyes peeled for months trying to find one, finally I did and I picked myself up a clone of Harleyquin!! Sweet!!! I also have been seeking for Grandaddy purple which is one of my favorite strains and from the same place I also found GDP!! I bought 1 and she actually gave me an extra one for free... They also had a few other interesting strains so I also picked up 1x Black Cherry Cola, 1x Purple Dragon, 1x Green Candy. The progress for these I will be doing in a separate journal and when it is ready I will post the links.

Here are the details of the strains...

Harleyquin:The sativas originated in Columbia (Gold) and Switzerland. And the indica hails from Nepal. Note that these are all high-elevation places.

GDP: There is no for sure source of info on the genetics but supposedly its Big Bud x Purple Erkle but it also was rumored that Ken got a purple indica cut from some indians and crossed it with an unknown strain. Not sure but I love GDP!

Purple Dragon: Purple Erkle x Blue Dragon (blueberry x sour diesel)

Black Cherry Cola (TGA): unknown or unreleased genetics. also rumored to be Subcools : Cherry DannyBoy X Black Russian

Green Candy: Candy Kush (OG x Trainwreck) x Green Cr@ck.

Here's the pics.
Also you will see my other Ogiesel which is in veg, haven't decided what I am going to do with it just yet but we will see

Thanks Dr Ziggy. The soil they were put in was from my last grow, so I am re-using the soil, well about 80% of the soil is re-used, the other 20% is new unused soil that was mixed a few months ago when I did the transplant. Overall the soil should produce near high brix to high brix results being that it is loaded with calcium, soft rock phosphate and very little K, but we will see how they like it

Cheers Icemud. Thanks. This is an amazing forum which I actually only found a few days ago after starting to research LED growlights. A mind boggling amount of info and a very friendly community. Glad to be here.

If I could ask what may be a stupid question, it would be this. Why, in particular are the ends of your screen angled up like that ? I imagine the answer will reveal itself eventually Just curious.
