Thanks for the feedback! I didn't want to put the lights too close as I just stressed them out a lot a few days ago moving them out of their old cramped spot under a shared 400watt lamp to these 1000watt lamps. That and I wasn't sure how close I should put them. I will ease them down a bit each day. So how many lights do you think a guy should have in a 12X12 room? I know the cords are a mess. So many things going on at once I was just trying rush through and get the plants in there. I do have a bad habit of leaving things the way they are after I get things up and running.
 
Im with you there. After u have a grow under way its hard to make changes without hurting plants. Personally I would put 8-600w each with their own hydro table ( run 2 per Res or whatever you want) but with dwc and 1000w lights I would run 4 mounted vertical without reflecters and position the plants around them to get light everywhere. Just my 2 ¢…

There are many things one can do that is for sure. I can't see myself making those transitions anytime soon but I have seen some nice grows with vertical lights.
 
Vertical lamps are tricky but worth it with large plants .You have got to spin the plants daily twice a light period if possible. Vary important if you surround your lamps with a circle of plants. If you have rows going with light hallways it is not as detrimental. I'm always thinking of maxing every aspect of a space out. That's one of the many reasons I come to this site. Fantasy gro rooms!
 
I need to get something to look at these plants a little closer to see how amber they are getting. Can anyone tell me what I need and were to get it?

Did you flush first? If not you have a chance of burn but very slight chance would be my guess. Also were you using organic or salt based? That could change things as well. Also PH your soil or res. I think you will be fine but these would be my concerns.

You can not go wrong with BPN. You will love the switch! :thumb:
 
They should bounce back. If you were seeing yellowing prior it may have been a N deficiency. Either way easing them into the BPN will be fine and sounds like things will be just fine.
 
I'm currently mixing brands throughout my grow. As long as you keep you ppm in check and know what your giving your plants in terms of macro and secondarys they don't seem to mind. ( I don't recommend this I am only doing it to use up my old nutes)
 
Screw this shit. I am officially fed up with my first grow. Now that the buds are maturing they are all producing nothing but seeds. Between that and the white mold I can't get rid of I see no reason to waste any more electricity or bulb life on this grow. I will have to learn how to make hash or something out of this shit. I will try a scrog in these cabinets with soil and one plant to see if I can make anything happen that way. I have the empty cabinet all set up and ready to go.

I will be picking up some clones soon for that and my cabinet.
Going to put my latest grow into flower in a couple of days.

I have a shit load of money into this and now it looks like any kind of payback is pushed back a month at least.

Any suggestions on what I should do with the last grow of seeds?
 
I finally got my other journal started with the plants in my new room if anyone wants to check it out and give me some feedback you can follow the bottom link in my signature.

I will try and get journals started for my other 2 grows as well.

Well I may as well let these plants finish so I can get some good seeds. I clipped some top buds off so I could get the light closer to the bottom buds. I probably should have waited because the top ones don't seem to have any seeds in them and the trics are still very clear. Oh well too late now.

I thought these buds would be tighter but as they dried they became very fluffy.
