I can't wait to get back to the ebb and flow but for now I'm stuck in dirt. The nice even canopy was a result of manifolding the 2 plants and (most importantly) using a scrog net.

So anyway, if a nice even canopy is what you're after, the scrog is what you need to look into.

Not much of a scrog type of guy. I prefer a sog or just lst and topping to get nice canopy. I don't like having the net in my tent. I would rather expose budsites by using jo-jos or yo-yo's to pull plant to expose middle colas

I am not sure what to say about the typical defoliation that growers perform because I haven't really operated that way. My plants have mostly been "mainlined". So, because of the mainlining process, they were thoroughly defoliate as they were vegged and trained.

We've only done extremely light trimming during flowering.

I think that selective trimming during flowering to remove fan leaves that are shading buds makes more sense than dramatic defoliation during flower.

We are currently trying to figure out whether we should continue manifolding or look to other techniques to get the most out of our grow room.
