Thanks Doom0 for the kind words and for the funny clip! ;-)
Be Irie: Thanks. ;-) You are very right! FloridaBud, is going to keep hydro growing, but I think I will be sticking with soil. So, we may be able to do some good comparison grows.
four20friend: They are doing ok, but as freaknature said my system could use a good cleaning. I think this is the root of my issues ATM...
Thanks pan4gold49!
I have soo much to do today! I've got someone interested in my box, so I will be transplanting my girls into soil. They will be going into the closet today. I'm really ok with this, because I think that my box is really needs to be cleaned. I think that is part of my plants issues. So, stand by for some pics later. ;-) Thanks everyone!
I got everything set up today, and went to transplant both the COB and MD 2. When transplanting I found a really gross case of root rot. Surprisingly these roots were wrapped around an aerator. I decided not to transplant as these roots are mostly dead. I did however transplant Miss Daisy 2, who's roots were very healthy. Both plants were very near each other. Could the root rot have caused issues with my healthier plant? I'm just happy to have 1 plant that although has issues right now, they will be worked out.
The transplant went well, and I hope to see improvements within a few days.
house and garden makes a product called Root Excelerator.its not expensive like 15.00 I think. I have seen that product bring roots like that back to bright white and strong in weeks. hope that helps. how hot does that sun systems hood get?.I cant tell from that picture, is that area one you enclose.you think I could use that in a 4.4 tent?. I am thinking about something I can use for veg that i dont have to vent, but going MH.
Stizz1e: It's just the lighting. The plant isn't in the greatest condition though. I'm working on it. ;-)
Thanks four20friend for the info! I was wondering the same thing about the 400 Hps. I was thinking I might have to upgrade to a 600 for a larger size area. If you look at my bagseed grow, I used the same light for 2 large plants and they did great. When we move, I'm going to be looking into getting a tent. A 4X4 tent IMO would be ok. The 400hps gets hot, but not that hot. I kinda rigged it up a bit, and I'm able to control the temps really well. Tomorrow I'll take pics of the set up, but if you're curious enough check my bagseed grow out. I got it set up the same way.
I have seen a few other tents. here in cali they have hydro shows every year that are BIG!. I wish I had gone to some of the bigger ones before I got my hydrohut "the toxic one". I have the new "metalic" hydrohut now and secret jarden darkroom(see my 08 grow). I really like the darkroom and would buy another. the material is almost twice as thick and zero light leaks even in the zippers. the new hydrohuts are much better than the old ones but the vents are not in the right places, none on the/close to floor and only one one on the roof. I have the dr120 its 3x11 by 3x11. If things get hot in the darkroom they stay hot.You HAVE to vent the lights IMHO. the material is almost a solid metal and it can turn into an oven fast. only downside to the darkroom. It was not a problem i had my fans on the lowest setting during the warmer months with the lights on.half speed on the fans and the problem was gone. hope that helps.
sorry to hear about your root woes, but on the bright side; I'm sure you learned alot from this grow as I know others did as well. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride!! I'll be looking forward to seeing miss daisey when she's feeling better.
Miss Daisy 2 has started finally to look better. I tried giving nutes, but she didn't respond well. I've been just giving her distilled water, and she's starting to come back around. Yay! ;-)
transplant looks like it went well. Good luck with the move. I see you are going back to soil, good good. I'm sure you will be happy with a tent. I like my dark room tent.
Thanks McBudz! Soil makes me happy. ;-) How big is your tent? I've been looking on Ebay at their larger tents. Lol! I think if I could have it my way, I'd get one 10'x10'x10'.
Hello Ms.Fox,
I'm a big fan and have enjoyed checking out your 'Just For Fun Bagseed Grow' as well as this current grow, I am duly impressed. I would be honored and would consider it a feather in my cap if you would stop by and check out my grow and post a comment.
Thanks,

In the past week I have noticed Miss Daisy 2 finally start to grow a bit. The plants health has improved and seems to be healing from the bottom up. I plan on giving some GB in the next water in order to further the healing process. I'm not too sure how well this girl will turn out, but I sure am gonna try to make it the best I can. ;-)
