That's not LST!! LOL Bending your plant like that (aka Supercropping) is a really powerful technique for photoperiod strains, it'll be interesting to see if it's useful for auto's. Really what you've done is divert energy and growth hormones away from the main stem for awhile, so the side branches should yield better than usual, but possibly at the cost of some weight to your main cola, depending on how quickly it recovers. With photos, the stem has plenty of time to bounce back and will supposedly yield even better than if you left it alone. Just not sure if an auto has the luxury of losing any growth time.
At any rate, an interesting experiment!
Soma swears by this technique. It's also good if you need to slow the growth of one fast-growing stem to try and keep an even canopy for sog or fluxing.
