The pink Salad got way too big for the 135w I-Gro Cabinet.

I've moved it into the main grow space, and put the Buddha's Cross under the 135w.

Looks Great cant wait till you have your few thousand seeds so you actually grow some out without seeding it :high-five:

I did a LST experiment on one of the Pink Salad. :)

Just to see what happens I bent the top over until it snapped.

Seems like it's going to live. :)

The Pink Salad Experiment is going well. :thumb:

If pink salad holds on, there could be a lot of ways to use what you just learned. Once I get a few expendable seeds, I will be trying all kinds of things to see what works and what doesn't.

Yeah the lower buds are getting fatter quicker than the other plants.

Because I put a brick under it's pot, and brought whole plant up closer to the light.

I was thinking of breaking them all, but this one takes twice the space. haha

Maybe I could weave them in together, and SOG them. :)

That's not LST!! :thedoubletake: LOL Bending your plant like that (aka Supercropping) is a really powerful technique for photoperiod strains, it'll be interesting to see if it's useful for auto's. Really what you've done is divert energy and growth hormones away from the main stem for awhile, so the side branches should yield better than usual, but possibly at the cost of some weight to your main cola, depending on how quickly it recovers. With photos, the stem has plenty of time to bounce back and will supposedly yield even better than if you left it alone. Just not sure if an auto has the luxury of losing any growth time.

At any rate, an interesting experiment!

Soma swears by this technique. It's also good if you need to slow the growth of one fast-growing stem to try and keep an even canopy for sog or fluxing. :)

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

haha yeah I was waiting for someone to say something about LST.

I was thinking the same thing. That the plant might end with the same weight.

And it might just be redistributed, but it doesn't seem to of slowed its growth at all.

The branch is slowly lifting itself. I might tie it down in place. :)

Protect your eyes when working with powerful lighting.

I use "Uvex S0360X Ultra-spec 2000 Safety Glasses UV Extreme"

They don't color correct, but do a great job blocking UV light.

A quick google should help you find a pair under nine bucks.

This type fit over my eyeglasses, so I don't have to squint.

The Pink Salad is doing great for being just under 40 days old.

I don't think it got seeded by the C5 pollen, but there may be a few.

I'm still waiting for signs of sex from the Buddha's Cross, but they look healthy.

Looking good buddy! How is the pink salad that you bent?

That's a close up of one of it's side branching top buds.

I had to tie down it's bent top, because it was rising to high.

It's healthy, and growing great, but the one that looked most like it has a bigger top cola now.

So it's kinda hard to say if it's worth doing. I'll know better when it's done I guess.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

I can dig it. I'm eager to see if the supercropped plant yields more or about the same as the others.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Yeah I'm going to try all the supercrop techniques little by little.

Just to see for myself how things work out.

It's hard to evaluate really tho, because each one is a little different already.

Makes it hard to compare, but if it gets a decent yield I'll try this again.

I think this Buddha's Cross is a male. What do you think?

I'll keep watching both for the next few days.

It would be a real bummer if they were both male. :lot-o-toke:
