How to Make Feminized Seeds With Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro LED

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Thanks Toker,
I sprouted a few seeds yesturday.
I got my CS in and my 40oz Brown Budwieser

I'm going to want to do an individual bud or 2 of each different strain.
I want to start a small breeding experiment going. Next time around.

I'm getting some of the best pollen sacs right now, but still in a few days the C5's pollen branches will come down.

Quite a few sacs emit puffs of pollen smoke as I remove them. The C5's buds are all wallpapered with dead sacs.

The Buddha's Cross is going to mature fast tho, and I need to move along to clear away Carmel 5's pollen.

Because I've gotta start spraying Colloidal Silver all over again soon. :) (I hope)

The Pink Salad really seem to love the 135w from Intelligent-Gro.

The tallest ones are now at 16 inches. :)

Chopped off the lower branches today that I'd been spraying with colloidal silver.

It's easy to remember 40 days from the 1st of July. :)

Here's how she looks up top. I hope I was successful in making some feminized seeds. :thumb:

The Buddha's Cross is doing good. Even tho only two of ten seeds sprouted.

But all I'll need is one female to make colloidal silver feminized seeds.

Two females would be awesome tho! :)

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

your plants look great. do you plants ever lose their fan leaves? mine are losing more fan leaves than I'd like at 3 weeks in bloom.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Yeah I saw that in your journal.

I don't get much of that, but I don't push my seed making plants in flower.

I just use the same nute mix straight through.

It's normal to see some deficiencies when pushing for large blooms.

But I'm going for healthy feminized seed production right now.

So I'm not dropping down N, and pumping up P in my NPK yet.

You grew some gnarly fat colas last time dude.

But you dropped down your pot size this time. Maybe that's whats up?

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

that's what I was thinking at first, but I don't think that's the issue. the plant that's losing the most leaves is actually not drinking as fast as she used to, so I'm gonna let her dry out then give her plain water.

Cutting clones today to fill my need for seed.

Guess we can name our own strain if we mix things up a bit. This is gunna be fun.

Hope the girls don't go into flower before the pollen is ready. Should be about right for an outdoor grow.

2 weeks to root

2 weeks to veg

3-4 weeks for pollen.

Might need to trim a week of veg.

This is a game plan but my first game so feel free to comment.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

hey Toke do you ever collect and store pollen or do you just take the sacs off and put them directly on the buds all the time??

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

I do store pollen, and do have some frozen right now.

If these genetics were IBL's and not F1's I'd be interested in saving some.

These will make hardy fast growing plants, but not much good as breeders.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

thats cool what pollen did you store?

can you make an f1 an IBL through further breeding?

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Yeah you have to go through multiple generations of inbreeding.

Each F1 could be made an IBL, but it would take a year, or two to stabilize. (Or three)

The F1 seeds I'm making should provide me with great weed for seven plus years of growing.

I'm not really interested at this point in making IBL's.

I don't have enough space, equipment, budget, and time for it.

I've got some Pink Salad pollen on Ice right now. :)

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Looks like I will need more CS.

I currently have 24 clone attempts going of 6 different strains. I am going to collect 2 more strains from the greenhouse this evening.

With good success I will have more then I need. Some will be crossed and some will be crossed back on themselves.

I won't bombard your post with all my info unless you want. I will make all info available in my own journal though.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Yeah you can post updates here about your Colloidal Silver projects.

Looks like you're really going for it. I'd say you need more Colloidal Silver for sure.

How are you going to deal with cross contamination of pollen?

Thats why I run my projects one at a time. So I know the babies daddy. (Or two mommies lol)

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

I will keep them as far apart as possible. The greenhouse arrives today. I have a clone area and a small closet setup also.

I have 2 sets of Golden Goat from sisters. They can stay together.

I have 2 sets of OG-T*t's ( T*ts is Durban poison crossed with OG then SD added back in.) that are sister clones.

The Holy Grail Kush is also in there. This is one awesome plant.

Down to 4 zones.
