How to Make Feminized Seeds With Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro LED

Toker,

There are two sides to every issue and you can't stay on one side then make up your mind. Read some of the research the other side is claiming, because in most cases if you follow the money your answers will be found. Al Gore didn't get where he's at by living off a Vice Presidential retirement package. Anyway, nuff said. I'm terribly interested in your grow, so I hope out of the mutual enjoyment of cannabis you won't mind if I sit in.

You're certainly welcome to join Chinnubie!

You are kinda assuming things about me, and what I've read tho, but like I said I've done my talking friend.

you have success keeping seeds in water till they sprout?

I think the seeds need to go through the winter, then when it starts to get warm they sprout easily. this is why I store my seeds in the fridge.

Yeah I dry mine a few weeks, and pop them in the fridge also.

I don't have anywhere to plant these right now, so I'm just testing them.

I want to find out when they start popping.

I gotta mini fridge in my room I use for seeds, and pollen samples.

I believe winterizing helps, but not much. I still say 30 days is about right.

Toker,

Yeah, there's the side 95% of scientists are on and then there's some other side. I'll stand with the scientists. All I'm gonna say about it, except that there was an awesome bit on the Daily Show about vaccination conspiracy theorists causing a resurgence of Polio and measles. It's weird when otherwise intelligent people start buying into conspiracies that would have to involve pretty much the entire scientific community if they were true.

I recently read about cherry tree seeds that went to low earth orbit and when they came back were planted. 2 years later they were flowering, where as the norm for the tree was 9 years before fruiting.

Wondering what the effects of low orbit radiation on cannabis will be?

Yeah I wanna toke on the space doobie! haha. Some space cherries might be pretty tasty tho!!

Yeah I love that show, and saw that episode! You're right Boscoe!!

It's a strange time we live in now.

More real news in comedy shows than network news.

"With autoflowers during the first 12-14 days you don't feed your plant anything but water."

I'm not sure if this is an autoflower myth, but it is a rule I don't follow.

But this may be a good rule for soil growers. idk. I grow in Coco, and Rice Hulls.

"Bring the nutrients up gradually so you don't burn your roots"

I follow that rule, but what's the formula there? (Read mine below)

"When growing autoflowers mix your nutrients at half the recommended strength"

I almost always follow this rule, and only occasionally push this limit.

I feed my little seedlings nutrients from day one, and I'm at full strength 16 days later.

For me of course full strength means half strength.

I use inexpensive powdered hydroponic nutrient mixed with tap water.

An entire 60 day grow period with a full load of plants costs me under three bucks.

Heres how I bring the nutrients up gradually:

In gallon jug #1 I mix a gallon of full strength nutes. (autos use half the recommended strength)

In gallon jug #2 I pour in one cup of my fresh nute mix, and then fill the rest with tap water to the top.

This is my seed watering mix, and I'll water all my new seeds with 1/16 strength.

I keep using seed mix until all the new seeds have popped up above ground.

When all the seeds show I move to day two mix. Day two is 2/16 strength. (two cups)

Day three is three cups etc, and I keep raising my mix daily over a period of 16 days.

That first rule of "With autoflowers during the first 12-14 days you don't feed your plant anything but water."

14 days before nutes? I'm usually at full strength when most growers just start.

I'm not saying I recommend this behavior.

I've got seeds to burn, and your nutes may operate entirely different.

But I've been growing my autos like this for a long time, and seldom see burn.

I just put my seed bag in the fridge immediately after reading that post. I hope the reason neither one of my latest tap-rooted beans; "Bubble Gummers" have sprouted isn't because of how I've been storing my beans.

Thousand year old frozen seeds have been sprouted many times.

Like cryogenic suspension for your seeds.

I keep some in my freezer even. Enough to start all over on each strain.

i really like the way you bring up your EC over the 16 days great idea TOKE!!

For the no nutes 12-14 days is def pertaining to soil growers or anyone with nutes already in the soil/grow medium.

EXAMPLE: i grow in the High brix soil from DOC, it is a soilless mix but we add worm castings and an organic amendment to it giving it the required energy for the first few waterings in life. :) just my 2cents here :)

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Yeah I guess because autos are kinda new to people things like this haven't been discussed much.

I made my first seeds in soil, and was lucky after to have lots seeds to run experiments.

Coco has zero nutrient value, so when I first tried growing autos in Coco I got close to zero growth.

So I decided to try this, and it worked for me. 16 cups in a gallon means 16 days of raising nutes.

My little sample of the HBD is now fully dry.

I smoked the smaller buds on bottom, and I'm going to cure this top piece only.

HBD-DRY-02.png

The flavor was a fruity/diesel, but still pretty green tasting of course.

The high is rated at 9 outta 10 by the breeder, and it lived up to that.

I'm super happy to add these female seeds to my collection.

I think I can easily grow four at a time under my Intelligent-Gro LED.

I'm declaring this part of my Colloidal Silver project a complete success! :)

The C5 Auto is doing great at 33 days old, and at day 13 of Colloidal Silver spraying.

The paper plate still works good for inside the lower branches,

but some of the side branching has overgrown,

and I've started cupping the buds in my palm to protect the plant from overspray.

No signs of sacs yet, but it's still very early. :)

Yeah that's right. 16/8

The rose buckets are 10 inches tall, 8 at the top, and 7 on bottom. 1.7 gallons.
