How To Make Concentrated Cannabis Oil

Really BIG!!! Thank you so much RSOiler. I know you know what strength kind words like yours carry. The whole night!!! Woweee!!!:goodjob:

Was making second batch of GSCookie oil for night-night when I was attacked by what could only be described as a flight of gigantic Southern mosquitoes. Got it through the coffee filters, but I'm not risking my life going out there again. Hope it's OK overnight in those SS buckets, covered by the coffee filters.:thumb: Big bugs.

:circle-of-love:

Ran out and covered with air tight lid. The earth is safe tonight!

Thank you John. I think your right about drinking cold vs hot tea, cold tea the oil should stay tacked but hot will allow the oil to come loose and head down with the tea.

Hey John, the big mosquitoes just want a little RSO, that's all. Keep doing what your doing my friend and don't forget to update how things are going with you. WE CARE!!!!!!!!

:welcome:High Xose (how do you say that?), bless you for helping your dad.:thumb: I've found some smart people here. :volcano-smiley: Wise men (people) would listen!:bravo:

:welcome:LoveBuds high ya! I had the same (kinda) question about keeping the oil in the alcohol overnight, and weather it would degrade the cannabinoids. You see, I was brutally attacked earlier today and had to postpone the bubbly part (boiling down). Cajun answered us both, I think.:thanks: Love your name. LoveBuds.:circle-of-love: With that name, I'm going to picture you as a beautiful woman.:hippy: If you're not, don't ruin it for me! Wait, if you're a man.......:hmmmm: Oh hell, never mind, I'm already confused. Welcome and much love either way!

:Namaste:

Drying to jars keeps illness afar. Sorry, it's Hump Day.
Even when the branches are crisp & snap, there's still tons of moisture inside the buds. To bring that out, you need to cure. Dried buds are only dry on the exterior. If you had frozen it, the moisture inside the buds reeks havoc on the trichomes, will pull chlorophyll, & makes the oil nasty.

Oh Cajun..................:circle-of-love:

Smarty pants!:thumb: That answered my question, thank you, sir.:high-five:

Just want to say thanks for this thread! I've been glancing at it for a couple months and tonight I decided to make my first batch of daytime oil. I used just shy of a quarter and maybe got back a gram or so? Not sure, it didn't look like enough to put in the syringe so I wax papered it and put in the fridge till morning. Also going to make a batch of sleepy time oil tomorrow evening. Again thank you everyone who has had a hand in this! I am very hopeful this will help me get healthy as it has helped many before me!

Hi guambomb80, once you start tacking would you mind heading over to the dosing thread (See my signature) and keep us informed on how your tacking is going and how you are feeling?

Thank you, :circle-of-love:

My father has cancer and i remember reading about the healing properties of cannabis oil...now im trying to make some. You guys seem to know a lot about that and are willing to share information to others which is a big help. I was interested in knowing if using a rice cooker is mandatory or can i use pans and create a double boil? Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this...

Hi Xose

I know you got a response already, but I want to toss my $0.02 in...
No, you don't need one. In fact, there are a few of us using distillers to recapture most of the alcohol. Here in WA, I pay nearly $80 for the big bottle of Everclear, and that's my least expensive option :yikes:

I got lucky and found my distiller at a second hand store, but you can get them new for under $200. It seemed to me that they pay for themselves pretty fast.

After I use that, I do the double boiler method on the stove. I pour out the distiller into a metal measuring cup, and that goes into the pan on the stove for the final purge. I do put a spacer under the measuring cup. This allows me to have more water in the pan, and it keeps the bottom of the cup from sitting on the pot. I just use some rings from canning lids (my wife cans so they are everywhere haha) and set the measuring cup on those.

Hi iversonpi

My son aged 17 has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Could I ask you some questions about your treatment and condition etc in private? I'm not sure if that's possible, but would really appreciate hearing from you.

Thankyou

I am still kicking. Blessed with control of the seizures by God's medicine, The Oil. Not many writers on this thread lately. Hope everyone is doing well. Hey to Motoco, RSOiler and Cajuncelt !

I have gotten my Sativa Auto, a Wild Thailand Ryder, half way to harvest. Can't wait to see what the sativa daytime oil does for my blood pressure, seizures and Glaucoma. First sativa in 40 years. Lot of medical problems in this old man for the oil to help. I also have a lot of confidence in the oil.

Hey wildjim, I'm glad your still hanging out here and on some of the grow journals. So you have about 1-1.5 months to harvest and cure? Your going to love the wellness feeling that Sativa gives you during the day. Question: What is the THC & CBD in your Wild Thailand Ryder?
Anytime you want, please stop in and give an update on how you are doing and how you are dosing.

Love & Respect wildjim

Hey Jim!

Hi Cajun, hey Oiler, Wildjim glad to meet you, you sound like an old coot like me, lots to fix. I'm Finally going to make oil w/ my sour d and/or sour d X sour og crops. I've been using GSCookies from someone else for the oil day/night. No idea I/S mix. I felt more well on day sativa, but the heart attack 2 weeks ago was probably the problem and not sloppy tacking, like everybody kept telling me. A fake out for sure. Danced to 'Shake It Up' by The Cars last night. First dance in years. SweetSue says blood & oxygen are a good thing. I agree. Peace.

Ps. Outdoor crop all in 65 gal smart pots now, but still jammed together in an enlarged greenhouse footprint. Now looks like an 8 ft SOG! Oh well, LOOKS pretty. More bulk next crop!

I am hoping to make my first batch of oil this weekend. I will be using some of my Blue Blood (15-20%thc 10%cbd). I am going to try to make it in my MB2. I have watched a few tutorials on it. I think someone said a while ago that they had a recipe for the MB2 that works well. Any suggestions? :peace:

Yes, you can make the oil in the MBM, but it's a little bit of a hassle. It comes out like show polish.

Good morning everyone. I haven't been on here is a while, due to not growing. some of you know that my nephew had pancreatic cancer. He lost the fight yesterday morning due to infections. I tired to get him to use our beloved herb but he just wouldn't do it. I can say I tried but didn't succeed. Going to miss him.

Condolences Bill. I have the same experience with a cousin. My 'like' on your post is acknowledgement, obviously not 'liking' the message.

Peace.....:Namaste:
