How To Make Concentrated Cannabis Oil

That's terrible news dude; on some people the oil seems to work better than others and some people only start with the oil until there is nothing else left to do. I personally wish I had found about it sooner; I wouldn't have had that last surgery which almost killed me and only had negative side effects.

My health hasn't been that great lately either. The partial paralysis on my left side has actually decreased a bit but I do have a bit of chest pains and shortness of breath after exercising. The cardiorespiratory nerve is a bit compromised by my cavernous angioma and I almost can't take any more oil. After the amounts I've taken you would think that my tolerance is quite high but as time goes by I can take less and less because of the strong body highs, its not a pleasurable sensation and I'm even taking out the THC in the decarb.

I'm not saying its my way or the highway, its just a very specific illness so it behaves differently than say cancer. Well for some positive news my main customer who was terminal with liver cancer is still alive. His doctors gave him 3 months like 15 months ago and he is still up and about and not taking any analgesics at all.

He failed his chemo and refuses to try again so he will just go on taking the oil and refuses to have any tests done.

I have a question..If someone who's taking the oil have his/her blood test done for some reason then would it show in his report that he has been taking THC or CBDs?

I guess it depends on the strain from which the oil was made and the decarb profile used. I'm told that edibles last way more in the blood stream than smoked.

Only if they test for it, there are literally thousands of different blood tests. Unless they go looking for THC etc AFAIK they're not going to accidentally discover it.
Cheers n Peace

I have worked as an RN for over 25 years. Even when blood test are done to detect THC and it is present. No body really cares. They dont call LEO or do anything any different. If someone comes into the ER for example in a car accident, it is pretty routine to add a blood test specific for THC. This can be used later by the police if that patient was the driver. They also check for other drugs and of course alchohol. When my husband had his siezures and an ambulance took him to the ER, I had no hesitation in telling them that he had been smoking weed right before the seizure. Of course, they then had questions like, "was it synthetic?? Or could it have been laced with anything??" Nobody cares unless it is directly related to the cause of your ailment or you were a driver that caused an accident. At least then has been my experience as a nurse.

The thing that would cause more concern for your medical team is the presence of something like an opiate or other street drugs found in your blood test. This does cause concern as that person will have a higher tolerance for pain medication, may be seeking pain medication or could go through withdrawl that could be life threatening. So the will dig into that deeper to be able to make a plan of action to keep you safe. Just like an alcholic. When they go into the hospital. There are drugs that are automatically given to keep that patient from going into withdrawl.

These are other drugs also are important for your medical team to know about if you are having surgery under a general anesthic. They may have to plan your anesthia differently. For example. A patient who has been on heaving duty pain meds for some time, will require more meds in surgery and post op because of their tolerance. This is more info than you asked for but hope this helps.

Jimbo- Motoco & I were discussing this sudden change. We both agree it's an issue along the lines of what you posted. I'll get educated real quick on the subject you posted & see what I can do to keep putting up a fuss with this. Thank you too bro.

Those set backs are just that, my friend. Just keep doing what you can to get along. Our journey's have to leave a little breadcrumbs for those unfortunate enough to be following us. I've already lived 14 years past what the VA Oncologists gave me. Like my brother used to say, ''It is what it is''. Me, I just keep doing what I can. I've been successful, so far.

Sunday I get Medicare, 65 in June. Never thought I'd make it. There is always hope. A buddhist friend told me once that my karma for killing buddhists was to live a long life... Of suffering. No sh!t...

Don't know why I didn't find 420 before I did. Wife kept pushing me to grow to try oil or paste for the seizures. About 30 a day at that time. Took almost a year of reading before I became a member. And a farmer, beat that paranoia part of my ptsd so far. Growing my medicine. I love it and 420 Mag. And everybody I have had the pleasure to meet here. And I am very thankful for our meeting Cajun my friend. Most of all, my medicine helps. Neat.

Please excuse the babbling on. Stroke...

Always a Pleasure to see you around Brother. Hope you and the family are doing good. Awesome you made it to 65 compadre, well deserved. A worthy mention on your PTSD, yes, another one the oil easily helps/cures. Amazing how many different issues you have and the oil is kicking some butt. Have you mentioned a stroke before? If so I missed it. Then again when we meant I thought the oil was for one ailment instead of 4 major ones. Like you wj I am appreciating every extended day and if I go at anytime the last few years have been a true blessing, best three years of my life healthwise, family wise. It has been rumoured that we are living in 'hell' on earth, looking back I can see some truth in that but also if I make it another morning, see the sunrise, tree's, wildlife, etc. it all becomes good again.

You have came quite a long way, you have to look back and think 'I'm only in it for the oil", lol. Amazing journey. You're an inspiration wj.

Hi Gaurav,

If it is Hospital related I've never seen them check for THC. They certainly do not check for CBD unless it is something I haven't heard about.
If it is job related I know of someone who was on the oil and used a 'solution' one of 420 Magazine sponsors offered to pass the test and it worked. If you need that info I'll dig up the name of the product. Hope all is well with the Family brother.

Thanks Motoco and everyone for sharing their experience and knowledge on this.
Everything is fine, was just curious to know about it.

Thanks for your kindness Motoco. My hello's to you and Mo.

Yea man, I have been through it. a few MIs and four angioplasts and one triple bypass. Four strokes, second one gave me the epilepsy. Many other physical ailments, but I made it to 65. Pert near. I am just happy to be here. I want the oil to keep me in remission and help me stay alive. I am so blessed that it works for so many of my problems. GW Pharma knows what it's good for. My seizures, diabetes, Parkinsonisms, PTSD, Glaucoma, pain and nausea are all affected by the oil, the cannabinoids, is a beneficial way. Oncologist last week said I am still in remission with the hairy cell and the skin cancer. Sure wish it would clean my arteries.

Finally got my oil done tonight. Man does that distiller work great. I am glad I got it. Wife said it was an excellent buy too. I got 8+ ml from 61 gms. It looks great. First time making my oil worked perfectly. Wife had everything under control. Ordered me around like I worked for her. Used 750 ml Everclear and 350ml Spyritus. Reclaimed total 800ml. Filtered correctly this time. No popping. No errors. Can't wait for it to cool and to tack half a rice grain. Been so long.

Thanks to everyone for the distiller information. In my opinion the Megahome distiller works great. get one with 540 watt rating. If you are making oil you might want to try a low wattage water distiller. Low wattage is important. Easy to burn oil. Saw a lot of different ones when I was shopping around that were 1000 watts. That might be good for water but not so much for oil.

Can't agree with the hell on earth thing. Wife says that at least once a year. I am an ordained minister 20 years. We don't know what hell is and we imagine it is what is in our vision of the living minute, our present. When I am having sex, I am in Heaven. When the sex stops, I am in hell. We can decide our own private description of hell, mine is not having my family around.

:Namaste:

Gotta laugh at the 'wife orders me around like I work for her', classic! Thing is if we listened to our wife's more we would be much better off, right?

Strains with high THCV is supposed to clean your arteries. Sounds like me, my lower extremities have narrow arteries (thanks Gramps), back in the day they called it 'hardening of the arteries'. A lot of buildup of cholesterol for many years so it takes time. My circulation keeps improving but my right foot is still pooling blood until I elevate the feet. I'm thinking I'll go to my cardiologist and get the legs 'roto -rotored' a final time. From research on strains 'Durbin's Poison' has the highest THCV (vascular) that I've found. I've tried it before (racehorse at 90% Sativa dominant) and had to be tamed down with full term Harlequin). I didn't like it that much so will have to blend it with a tamer Sativa.

Remember, I said 'I heard that we are living in hell on earth'. To me its negative. I know you know where my heart lies Brother.

Keep on keepin on compadre! So glad you got your oil made and will be back on track. Your a lucky man to have a wife like yours!

Best regards

Motoco

Re: How to Dose Correctly Using Rick Simpson Concentrated Cannabis Oil

Hello,
I just want to ask you something that is making me worried about that. I did the cannabis oil according to instructions of Rick Simpson, but I didn't use 99% alcohol cuz in the country where I live we do not have 99% just 96% alcohol and I bought it in pharmacy. I used 500g of cannabis (sativa) and 8l 96% alcohol. At the end the oil is too much sticky in my fingers and it's too hard to clean the fingers after that. The color is dark but when you spread it turns to gold color. The cannabis at the begining before starting to make the oil it was a little bit greasy and when you touch it with fingers it makes your fingers a little sticky ( but this was before doing the oil ). The smell of the oil is highlighted. Can you please tell me if I did something wrong or is just a normal way for the oil to be too much sticky. I will wait for your reply before using it. Thank you soo much.

Hi bsfifi,

Sounds to me like you made the concentrate in an excellent fashion. Also it appears your cannabis was good quality because of the sticky resins. Are you referring to 96% 'Spirytus' Vodka as your alcohol? Next time if you would take a picture as it would be easier to see your descriptions matched up with a picture. Concentrated oil depending on the strain can be like 'axle' grease in viscosity.

Do you know what strain your oil is? Sativa dominant or Indica dominant?

Looks like your good to go. Is the concentrated oil for you? If you need help using the oil correctly let us know. Trying to figure out what your 'callsign' means :)

Welcome to 420 Magazine!

Still snowed/iced in. We got power this morning finally. Hope all of the rest of you in the South are ok.
Motoco, no phone yet bro. Email if ya need to.

Will do Brother, I was worried about you and your family, thank you so much for the update compadre.

Help! My tumors are still growing!

Taken care of Peyton, again, thanks for the lookout. Its almost impossible to see every post and respond plus trying to eek our way through life. Really appreciated. Especially for those with serious ailments.

Thank you!

Welcome to 420 Magazine!

I think that maybe I did something wrong because of the stickiness in my fingers I think it is too much sticky and I didn't use indica but I used sativa and I want to ask if there will be a result same from indica.

Thank you so much from your side:thanks:

LOL! Had to chuckle watching the paper tear. Looks good and sticky :) I've had some like yours and realized as long as I had some concentrate around it could come in handy for a quick repair, lol. On a more serious note; Never use oil this thick for a topical application. If applying to a wound/open cut it will tear it more open, tear scabs off etc., so you have to dilute it with a thinner. I use grapeseed oil (1-1 ratio) that has been sterilized (I make sure and heat it up to 180 degrees fahrenheit/ 82.22 celsius for 15 minutes) then blend it with oil while warm. Just a safety tip.

Strains can really vary. For example; High CBD strains on average pull 2 grams of concentrate oil using 28 grams of flowers grown full term (low THC) and has a much thinner viscosity compared to a potent Sativa or Indica strain. A Sativa dominant hybrid high in THC potency (harvested at peak THC) should produce about 4 -4.5 grams using 28 grams of flowers. Pretty much the same with Indica harvested at peak THC. The longer you grow the strains past peak THC for their medicinal purpose the thinner the viscosity. Like yours my Sativa dominant strain is like glue. When you do your Indica you will tell by the viscosity pretty much how it was grown. Sticky, higher THC. If grown full term for absolute couchlock (if it is 90% + Indica dominant) it will be thinner. Also a heads up, the taste of the cannabinoids is much earthier tasting.

A question about making your oil Rick Simpson's method. Did you use 'flowers' or whole plant? If you add a procedure before you do his method freeze your flowers (cured/dried properly) for at least 24 hours (I freeze mine for 48 hours at 0 f,-18 celsius in a zip-lock mylar bag) and the same with the carrier you're using in its container form. Of course the alcohol won't freeze at these temps. What this does is give you a cleaner extract doing a 'quick wash' method found here; How To Make Concentrated Cannabis Oil
Also questions about the concentrate goes there also as this thread is how to use the oil via the 'tacking/modified gum absorption' method and used primarily for different uses for a variety of ailments, cancer, pretty much from A-Z. Keeps things much more organized :high-five: My fault for not telling you in your first post. Apologies.

Hope I didn't confuse you but wanted to give you a rundown on how strains vary in viscosity that you can use for a reference making your oils. Soon you will be able to tell after you make your oil from a specific strain how it was grown for its intended purpose judging from how much oil you syringe/weight. ! ML equals 1 gram of concentrate on average. There are a lot of tips and tricks in the 'oil' tutorial to use every drop of this precious medicine.

I think you did an outstanding job. :bravo: I wondered the exact same thing as you on the first go making the concentrate but no worries. With you're percentage of alcohol (96% by volume) you should do three quick rinses in under 8 minutes from the start of the rinse to pressing out as much as you can through the strainer into the filters. When I was using 96% Spirytus three rinses took 6-7 minutes with practice. When you become consistent in your washing times your finished product becomes much more consistent and is a key in healing ailments. Tip: Master a procedure and you will be rewarded with very consistent concentrated oil and a quality medicinal meds each and every time. Consistent percentages is of utmost important for treating cancers.
Hope this helps.

Cheers !
