How To Make Concentrated Cannabis Oil

Thanks Cannafan. I plan to learn a lot from you guys. It sounds like a lot of work, but I know the end result will be more than worth it.

Hey wildjim, you gonna get to make your oil this weekend?

My father in law was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer with metastasis of the liver, so I'll be popping in and getting to know you guys a lot better. Gonna need all the help I can get, so thank you all in advance for everything. Can't wait to get him healed!
As you know Peyton, that's my diagnosis as well.
Have you guys decided on a protocol?
What is his current regimen? Hope it's not Folfox5.
Stay on board. You've come to the right place.
Have you seen my collection of studies on colon cancer & cannabis yet? Check my signature, I added more this am

Crap. I think it has foxflir and another kinda fox word in it, probably folfox. He just started chemo yesterday. They said they were going to give him 4 different types of chemo for this "trial". My wifey and I will be reading all of the studies you posted tonight. She understands the cancer stuff, and I explain the cannabis stuff to her.

Get him on an alkaline diet & NO sugar. He needs probiotics big time to keep his immune system in shape. Stop ALL free radicals like nicotine, alcohol, ect.
He has to do this 110% with his metastasis. The sooner the better. The immediate goal is to get the CEA # down. Do you know what it currently is?
The chemo will knock the tumor count down, but will wreck him. Especially the Oxyplatin & Flourocyl. Blah! Get him on the oil ASAP.

Dear 420 Motoco,

Thank you for your guidance, you are great. As per your recommendation, we purchased the Vollrath 59500P Mirage Pro Countertop Induction Range and the Cuisinart CFO-3SS Electric Fondue Set but the fondue maker does not sit directly on the burner. What do I do now, can you help?

Thanks,
Fred

You all are so awesome. I don't have time to comment on the GREAT ideas you have for my blind friend as I am off to the hospital to see my husband. He does not handle being in there very good at all!!!! You may recall that he had an accident in the shed late Monday night and flayed open his lower leg down to bone. I had to take him back to the ER yesterday and they are hitting him hard with 3 different antibiotics for cellulitis. He was on antibiotic but it did not work. I hope his cultures come back OK, meaning that it is not MRSA or one of the other super bugs like VRSA. That darn decadron he is on keeps his immune system down. I will keep you all posted. I am also sneaking in our special OIL to try to keep up with that. Keep your fingers crossed for us. I am feeling very sappy this morning so I am adding in the line that I love you all. You all are becoming like a 2nd family to me.

Motoco, all his blood levels were within normal limits including his platelet counts!!!!!! Of course his WBC is up but that is to be expected right now.

I found this article about cannabis vs MRSA.

In 2008, Italy’s University del Piemarte and Britain’s University of London tested five different cannabinoids on various strains of multi-resistant bacteria (including MRSA). All the compounds showed “potent antibacterial activity.” Cannabinoids were “exceptional at halting the spread of MRSA.”
A second study in 2008 reported non-cannabinoid constituents in the plant also possess antibacterial properties against MRSA and malaria.
Clinical trials are recommended for cannabinoids using cannabis sativa.
THC, CBN, CBD, CBG, CBC—cannabinoid compounds all kill the MRSA bacteria.
Plants are an untapped source of antimicrobial agents.

As of 2007, MRSA was responsible for more than eighteen thousand hospital related deaths each year and increased direct health care costs as much as $9.7 billion. The answer seems pretty straight forward.
Cannabichromene, cannabigerol, and cannabidiol are three of the non-psychoactive cannabinoids. It seems logical to start with these three compounds in our clinical trials (human). No bacteria has developed a resistance to any of them yet. It seems that CBD and CBG show the most promise in the development of :

? Topical antiseptics (salves, ointments, lotions, cremes)
? Whole cannabis lozenges
? Systemic antibacterial agents (whole cannabis extract)(tinctures)

Cannabis sativa is an antibiotic drug. Use whole plant extracts

Best: Sativa hybrid

I am on my way out the door but just had to check one last time before I left. I knew that it was an antibacterial and he has been tacking. I will keep up with the tacking as best I can but he will be in there for a few days. I don't know anything about tinctures or any other product. Just the RSO. Maybe I should make some with the whole plant?? Someone is giving me a whole plant this weekend that is drying as we speak

I have been making a salve for a couple of years. For a salve like this I would only use coconut oil, and a small amount of beeswax or emulsifying wax. Infuse the oil and add the wax to the consistence you like. The how to is in my signature.

fghtsmallcell,
Much love coming your way from the wife and me. Good luck to your husband during his stay in the hospital. Sending a good healing vibe his way. You have treated me so wonderfully in your writings, I feel like you are part of my family.

WJ

Keep your fingers crossed for us. I am feeling very sappy this morning so I am adding in the line that I love you all. You all are becoming like a 2nd family to me.

Beemerbill, super nice article on cannabinoid compounds killing MRSA. We absolutely need an alternative to fight these nasty super bugs that the manmade antibiotics have caused. When you make your salve what exactly do you use it on?? His infection is under the skin in the soft tissue. The only break in the skin is where they sutured him up and I would be afraid to put something on it that was not sterilized. I guess I am asking what kind of open wounds have you used it on?

Budnoob2, I believe this will all prove to be true but who wants to fund to research as it benefits no one but us the patients. I guess we will have to do our own research. Problem is when I see the rapid spread of the infection and I know that man made antibiotics will work while my oil is not of top shelve quality. The decision was easy for me. I did't want him to lose a leg. I have a suspicion that if his accident would have happen after my harvest, I would have had a much better oil and this infection would not have happened. But then there would have been no scientific proof. Catch 22.

WJ, Thank you so much for you thoughts, concern and love from you and your wife. I know you have an idea of what we are going through, if I remember correctly you had a surgery on your hand that got infected that required a hospital stay for IV antibiotics. Hope that is all better now.

Cajuncelt and Beemerbill, hehehe I glad I am not the only one that loves this site and cannot stay away from it.

update on hubby. His leg is responding very well and looks so much better. He can even walk on it normal tonight. He has a private room so was not hard to sneak him his oil. Culture results take some time but at this point it doesn't seem like it will matter what those results say. We are still not out of the woods on the skin flap. Will it live or die? It can still go either way but tonight it does look better and I say it will live.

Welcome PeytonManning, you will find all your answers here. I find the hardest part is growing and waiting for harvest. Im still not there yet either. So I had to buy some to make the oil and get started. This gave me the opportunity to work with smaller amounts and I will be more confident working with a larger amount when the time comes. Good luck to you and your father in law and please keep us posted. We all learn from each others experiences.

Thanks fghtsmallcell. I wish I could afford to buy some to make oil but that's not an option unfortunately. I'm looking into gathering supplies for making oil while I wait on harvest. As time gets closer I will be in here a whole lot more. But I read what you guys are up to on here everyday, so I've gotten to know most of you already lol.

Your welcome and I totally understand. I also know how hard it is to wait for the harvest and how nerve wracking it is. Good luck to you and I hope you do stick around so we can follow your journey.
