How To Make Concentrated Cannabis Oil

Well, finally. I'm going to be working with my first "Oil" patient. My Mom is going to try it for her anxiety/depression, and pain from a recent fractured hip. We're going to start her up this weekend, if all goes well my Pops will be giving it a go too.

:yahoo:

Congrats!!! I know you are excited!!

That's fantastic news cannafan. Sending good vibes for the success with Mom. I had a patient that I made a tincture with Bubblelicious. It's really good for depression and it worked. Using the oil should be many steps ahead of the tincture. Good luck.

In 1972 I started a job learning automatic doors (hospitals, grocery stores, etc). I learned the complex trade learning pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical mechanical systems. Of course over time newer technology emerged with motion detectors instead of contact mats to activate the doors. After 4 years, I meant my wife who worked in the Companys office. We got married, left the company and started our own business (the only thing we had to start with is an eviction notice from our apartment :) We sat down, thought who would be some good accounts and solicited BofA. Within two years we had just about every major bank in so Cal from the border to well above central cali, all by word of mouth. Over 3,200 branches in all. So I was a D-28 Sub-contractor, doors, gates and activating devices. I became a security expert for the banks as well an expert in ADA compliance laws. After 32 years my health forced me into retirement, thank God, lol.

My trade knowledge rubbed off on the oil as I can mod anything electrical if need be. It gave me confidence to do anything from building wood kayaks, accelerated learning getting into the concentrates. I guess looking back on my life it seems it was all guiding me to this, helping others. Never thought I would be doing this but now I feel so blessed as does my wife.

I think looking at Mr. Simpson, cajuncelt and yourself this background lends an awful lot to problem solving. I'm reading cajuncelts post right now, lol. See what I mean, lolol. We have learned to think things through and use logic, I'm throwing in Canna also as she is a tinker also :) You know, when we where kids we took stuff apart, might not of got it to work, but the adventure begins, lol.

Hard to believe how this thread has turned around. People being happy while healing, doesn't get much better than this :) Stay your course cal60. It is more rewarding than you ever could imagine.

Thanks Motoco, It's completely selfish on my part, the look on their faces when I give them the actual bill (much less than the estimate I started with) and the love we feel is priceless. I believe that feeling will at least triple when I can help them with their health. I know a buddy that is helping some elderly with their sleep troubles with Tinctures, he said they are happy with that, wait until I get him on board with the oil concentrate. He doesn't know that I plan on growing and was telling me how expensive it is to help these folks, well I believe I can help. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Are you an old contractor Motoco or just a worn out construction worker? I did both, started working 1973. I hurt so bad I had to start a business just so I could still make a living. Take care of your self Motoco we all need you around here for a very long time. Just look what you've started Sir.

Thanks for your story Motoco, 32 years in business!! God bless retirement. I still have 11 years to catch up to you, but I plan on helping MMJ patients real soon. Funny you mention Cannafan, I follow her journal and WOW, she thinks outside the box all the time, I follow just to get some great ideas from her. lol. I just gave cannafan reps yesterday for her great (outside the box) thinking. I also follow Cajuncelt, a great grower, a very smart guy & a funny guy as well, It makes following his journal a pleasure. I also have a new friend "Budnoob2" I'll be heading over to your journal tonight to catch up with you, I see you still use MH/HPS that's great.
Sorry long winded tonight.
I'm waiting around to see if anything can be done to help Ruth Rich. I hope so.

Hi 60cal - actually that journal title is a lie. I still have MH/HPS and also have LED but the plant in question is outdoors for that journal due to some reorganizing, construction and timing issues :)

I grew up in a family of contractors and even had my own home improvement business for a while back in the 90s. Now I just do it for fun though. Nice to be able to do your own framing, plumbing, wiring, etc. and it's nice to be able to see the product of your labor unlike my other work :) Always been a little inventive - converted my BMX into a 12 speed long before mountain bikes ever hit the market, not an easy task when you have to make custom spokes, modified brakes etc. but fun nonetheless.

For Ruth, the only experience I have with Lyme is actually someone who started using the oil shortly after completing the antibiotics and they detected it early so chances are the antibiotics were all that was needed (forget the name but it's also used for acne). Under those circumstances I can confirm that she had no Lyme related issues and the oil has helped her tremendously with her MS which was the primary reason for starting the oil. I wish I could offer more. Knowing the symptoms you're experiencing would go a long way for helping us to make recommendations of strains and ratios to try.

Re: New Member Start Links

Hi Ruth Rich,

I had someone get some concentrate for a lady who had lyme disease. Thing is I never ever heard from them again. How this stuff can get through the brain barrier makes it a bad one to be sure. All I've read about lyme disease would seem the cannabis oil concentrate could eliminate it, I just haven't had a case study on it yet. That being said there isn't one thing yet I have not seen the concentrate help/cure. Everyone I know states the same thing 'I feel better on the oil'. And as you can see, people in this thread are doing exactly that. One thing for sure, this is a nasty disease. I would recommend using the concentrate asap if not sooner. Welcome to 420 Magazine

Opps used 60cal post as a jumper, lol

Welcome Ruth, keep checking in on this thread, it moves kind of slow here, but you will not find a kinder group of people here that are willing to help. Good Luck.

The way I see it we should start a thread, put our heads together and start coming up with some scientific research on the concentrate. I will guarantee our group will come up with some solutions and figure things out using common sense. Seriously. I'm starting to think (and the wife); repair your receptors, it repairs everything else and your natural immune system fixes everything like it was intended to do? Also perhaps only a few aliments causes all major issues health related.

Nice job on the BMX conversion budnoob! 'get er done'. The wife and I are going to see 'larry the cable guy' soon. Need to get our heads straight, lol.

I'm going to post this site I found with some info on Cannabis Oil and Lyme disease, if it turns out it isn't allowed here...well so be it. I felt it was worth posting.
I don't feel it's a competing site, so should be okay.

Cannabis Is Proven To Be Best Treatment For Lyme Disease

An insect bite seems like a minor annoyance, but when from an infected tick it can cause Lyme disease which is often be life changing. Now the effect of cannabis, and in particular cannabis oil, on this notorious disease is being investigated.

Lyme disease is caused by the bacterium borrelia burgdorferi and is passed to humans through the bite of infected ticks. Ramblers, campers, mountain bikers and other people who take part in outdoor pursuits are often advised to be vigilant in checking for signs of tick bites, because the effects of Lyme disease can be devastating and life changing.

Typical symptoms include fever, headaches, chronic fatigue, swollen lymph nodes and a characteristic skin rash known as erythema migrans or the bulls-eye rash due to its form. If left untreated or misdiagnosed the infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system (i).

Unless you were aware of being bitten by a tick it is often wrongly diagnosed as symptoms worsen with time and can also be similar to fibromyalgia, lupus, MS or Parkinson’s.

Traditional treatments have involved long term antibiotics which have not been proven to completely get rid of the organism responsible, with the resultant well documented damage that long term or over prescribed antibiotics have on our bodies and the bacteria they are meant to combat.

Now cannabis is gaining interest from experts as a way of relieving symptoms but also to possibly get rid of the disease causing bacteria altogether.
Patients using it as relief have often suffered from serious damage to the gastrointestinal tract as a result of having a long term prescription for harsh antibiotics or strong painkillers. It eases nausea as well as muscle and joint pain.

But specialists are looking to cannabis oil to eradicate symptoms all together. Cannabis oil is a highly concentrated substance extracted and then reduced from large amounts of cannabis leaves and is often referred to as Rick Simpson’s Oil. The key active compounds are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in addition to other cannabinoids. Numerous studies have referred to the miraculous healing properties of this oil and as a result of irrefutable evidence, especially with its’ ability to cure cancers, big Pharma has recently applied to patent cannabis as ‘a cure’ (ii)

Lyme disease patients have reported a complete disappearance of all symptoms including seizures as well as pain and immobility. Some patient testimonies have come from people who had suffered with Lyme disease for many years and suffered through misdiagnosis and ineffective conventional treatments. Some were wheelchair bound and debilitated to the extent that they were unable to walk, talk or even eat independently. However following treatment with cannabis oil they have made staggering recoveries to the point where they are free from all symptoms and appear to be ‘free’ of the disease.

Could this be an effective cure for Lyme disease?

The changes to these patients and their families are completely life changing and the medical industry cannot continue to ignore the healing power of this plant and cannabis oil.

Could this be an effective cure for Lyme disease?

Ruth, there is a naturopathic doc treating Lyme disease. His protocol is called the Lyme Treatment Trail.
He is successfully treating several ppl.
I tried to copy/paste his info ( still using phone) w/ no success.
Google Bayareacannabis Miracles.

Folks I'm here to tell you, Cannafan on the concentrates is like waiting for the 'wrath of new ideas' for the concentrates. Mark my words, lol. I'm serious about getting a thread started on our 'crew' research. No stopping the Ragin Cajun either, lol. We have some serious thinkers in our 'crew'. After this weekend we'll find a spot to converse and share our knowledge to all. Ideas, theories and what we have knowledge of could be dangerous, not to us of course, you know who :). Think about it, we can converse hours on the concentrate alone, not to mention strains and caretaking skills. Anybody else getting consumed by the concentrated oil? lolol Something seemingly so simple can do so many miraculous things. Fascinating, I feel like Professor Gilbert (mentioned in Tombstone, lol).

Here's my own homemade cheese press, I'm going to try this out over the weekend when I make my oil and cannabutter. I sure hope it makes that squeezing job easier and gets every last drop of the goodies out. LOL

My father in law was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer with metastasis of the liver, so I'll be popping in and getting to know you guys a lot better. Gonna need all the help I can get, so thank you all in advance for everything. Can't wait to get him healed!

Welcome Peyton, you're in the right place :) Start with the beginning of this thread and follow up with the dosing thread that's linked in my signature and ask away.
