How To Make Concentrated Cannabis Oil

Thanks Guys,
Good to know I will have to sign for the stuff, that changes where I will get it shipped to as I won't be home for a delivery.

Cajuncelt, thanks for the thoughts and I will be sure to update next follow up. Kind of makes sense that it may reduce slowly because it's a slow growing issue to begin with.
Good to read that you are steady too. :)

Ya, sorry i should of mentioned when you do go to track your order via fedex it will give you an option to redirect it to a fed ex location just incase.

Speaking of reclaiming, I'm definitely pursuing that too. We get the good Everclear in this state, but very expensive.

And, yes... I've had my am sativa dose & can't seem to stop typing. Time for work.

Seems pretty straight forward with a pressure cooker and some copper. Looks like you can pick a small distiller up from amazon even for starting about $150. up to about 250 for some stainless ones. I dunno. If I come up with something I can share perhaps.

Fortunately my cancer is on the outside. But I feel like the snake oil guy in "Little Big Man" because they keep taking pieces from me.

I ordered yesterday and the single 750ml bottle of Spirytus was $22.94 and shipping to me was $17.95. And I got a $10 shipping discount so I paid a fartskin over $30. I let you know how it goes. Shipping might be more to you if you are in a legal state. There is a state close by but it would cost far more than $7.95 to drive there and back. When I am ready to buy a case I'll drive.

Glad you got some "good news". I have always been a believer in the adage, "No news is good news". I will second that "significantly reduced" and pray you hear that next visit.

My docs are the same, we don't completely agree, but let us know how it goes. But my neurologist says keep smoking the herb. It does work on my epilepsy. I want to be able to smoke it recreationally sometimes. I don't know about you, but as medicine it is harder to take (smoke), just like all my other 4x a day pills and shots. I have an alarm on my phone but still am late taking the meds sometimes. I am hoping the oil will allow my couple hits when I feel like it.

I had a triple bypass and when I told the doc I had to wait two weeks so I could talk to my son, I felt the air being sucked out of the room. I made it the two weeks and here I am 7 years later. But don't use that to support your decision to not undergo any surgery the doc might think you should have. Mine was a stupid decision, at the time, that I don't regret but know was the wrong thing to do, for my family. But I make the wrong decisions all the time. I enlisted for Vietnam and paid the price every day I was in the army as the dumbass guy who...

I don't worry about being able to do my job. I don't have a job to go to. I'm 64 and was forced into retirement a few years back. 100% Disabled In The Line Of Duty, my retirement papers say. Dang near killed is a better way to put it. Nuff said. I don't have that worry or concern, fortunately no piss tests either. My wife's employer requires frequent tests and "pop quizzes." She doesn't smoke, but at some point, I will try to grow some high CBD no THC salve, balm or lotion for her arthritis. Know any strain to try?

I was hoodwinked into the surgery because the doctor was just chatting away and before I knew it I had been injected with lidocaine and was on the way to cutting. Hard to say no to anything with wife there. She must have said something because they both tried to keep my attention elsewhere . We've been together 41 years so she knows what's best I guess. She's a medical professional which makes things even more interesting. She's used to telling doctors what to do.

Thanks for the kind words and concern. You are a good friend. Thumbs up for 420 Motoco.

WildJim, so glad to hear you are doing better. And looking forward to you making the oil! I'll be ordering this week, as I have some new strains that are ready to process. :)

Update on my procedure:
I had a follow up, and I feel it was good news. There is no change. Nothing worse, nothing new and nothing advanced. My doc knows I'm using the oil, they keep pushing surgery...and I keep saying no. LOL He's not saying for or against the oil, and remains neutral on the subject.
So my feeling is the oil is working and I'm sticking with it. That's as much detail as I will get into on the forum. Hopefully on the next follow up I will hear, "significantly reduced". :)

Edit: I did want to add my two cents on the fear of being high via the oil. That was my biggest concern too. I have to be able to be focused during the day because of my job, there is no way in holy heck I could concentrate on what I need to do there being out in space somewhere. LOL On the very first tacking procedure I did, I made sure it was a weekend so if I got high I wouldn't have to work through it. Happy to say there was no high at all. I was energetic and felt good, but no euphoria whatsover. If the tacking is done correctly, you should not be high. Thanks to 420 Motoco for hand holding me through this.

LOL...time to go outside and move some dirt, hahaha. That is a sign you took it correctly.

Your a 49niner? Our stories are very similar WJ. Great people helping you out Brother! Suck in the knowledge as this will become your lifelong hobby, trust me on this. Its fascinating to learn especially while healing. Once you learn how to use the oil everything starts to make sense and posts have new meanings when you can relate to them from experience. Just keep on keeping on your on deck in the batters box :). It will change your quality of life and does so in a subtle way.

Well stated friend! I want to mention to both you and canna, now that your cancer has stabilized (neutral) its time to up the dose a tad. Doesn't have to be more than a 'grain of rice'. I have no way of knowing your strains potency, cbd content, etc, but its time for an increase even as mentioned a grain of rice. Its looking very good guys. When stage 1V stabilizes its time to go the other direction. I'm excited for you guys! Stay positive and reap the rewards.

Lean forward in the foxhole. We'll all get through this.

Thanks Motoco! I did up my morning dose today, was unable to dose yesterday before the procedure...docs orders.

This is somewhat off the current topic, but if any of you guys/gals have trouble with squeezing the bud to get the liquids out I have an idea I'm going to try. My wrists are quite weak, so it can be tough for me.

Couple years ago I got into making home made cheeses and built myself a cheese press. It squeezes every last drop of water from the cheese, so why wouldn't it work for the cannabis?
Here's a pic of a crudely made press similar to what I did:

cheese_press.jpg

The receptacle for the liquid would go in the bottom area and a screen or filter on top of that. Then the top of the press comes down (I used a large can of baked beans between the press and the cheese covered with cheesecloth) and is screwed down steadily. Adjust the screws to keep a good pressure several times.
I think this is going to work well, if anyone is interested, let me know and I will get pics up of it when I do the oil this weekend.

Canna is off and running, lol. I've seen a press made of stainless steel and cannot find my bookmark and it was fairly cheap? This is how we advance to help others that have some type of disability (like weak wrist). Power of the daytime oil. Plus with a 'tinkering' background like me you constantly think of ways to improve our beloved oil :) Great post Canna! :cheertwo:

Thanks Motoco. :)

And budnoob2, I'm thinking the apple press might work too. LOL

I'll post a small pic or two of my own gadget and how it works this weekend or tonight. I made use of some wing nuts to screw down the press gradually.

I'm definitely going to use this for the cannabutter from now on.

Thanks Bill! I've been using "fartskin" all my life. Got me in trouble a few times but it suits me better than C_nt-hair, as a lot of people use. It naturally means something small. As we have all seen in our baths.

WJ

Good morning everyone. Great discussion going on. I tack 3 to 4 times a day with pretty good results and far as euphoria goes. If I don't hold long enough I will get a little feeling of being stoned. When I tack I hold it in place for at least 10 seconds and then move to another part of the gum and hold again. I tack probably a little to much. I use around a grain of rice each time for my hip pain. I hip pain stems for the muscles not being able to relax. They have no clue why and said I should get cortisone shots. NOT I've had to many of those in my life time. Two weeks ago the herb wouldn't help much so I had to resort to soma and aleve, which helped but it's so bad for you. I should do it like Motoco says and do a little first to get the CB1 receptors going then take your dose. Well if i did that I would have to have someone to smack me in the back of the head so I would take the rest so that's why I do the whole thing. I'm retired so I don't have to worry any more about pee tests so if I get a little stoned so be it. I use Harlequin oil during the day and a good indica oil at night. I live in Washington state and they don't sell anything over 151 and if you buy the everclear you have to sign for it in the store. So I will be ordering some soon and hopefully only pay a fartskin over something. That saying is just to funny. Happy Weedsday guys.

I would like to add that I am also excited about the positive progress with both of you also. (cajuncelt and canna) I totally live be the saying no news is good news. I am so very excited about both of you and cannot wait for the ultimate good news of reduction. I have not posted on this thread for awhile but I keep up with it everyday. It is now my new obsession and I love that new members are finding their way here. 420 Motoco is sooooo dedicated to sharing his knowledge and he is extremely good with keeping up with each one of us. I believe he was heaven sent and he and his wife's dedication is their gift to the world. Thank Mr and Mrs Motoco!!!

I just recently visited my old online cancer support group and searched for threads regarding RSO oil. There was some basic misinformation there. I wanted to play it safe so with very little detail I did make 3 posts. I was extremely surprise that the majority of those members are against it, don't believe it or even get hostile on these threads regarding RSO topic. I decided it was not worth trying to convince any of them. I gave enough info that would lead them in the right direction and left the ball in their court.

There are a few other members on here now that I did not mention above but want you to know that I am interested in everyone's progress on here. The more info we share the better for all of us. My husband has lung cancer that mets to brain. Chemo and radiation. Now still trying to recover from those effects waiting for it to come back as his docs are sure it will. I will also post on his progress. We are holding off on a CT of lung. Time is not on our side and I am anxious for a harvest which is still 6 weeks away. Then drying and curing. It feels like an eternity to me.....

Keep up the good work with sharing info please. I am sucking up any and all knowledge. This is an awesome thread.

Awesome post. Like I said, we'll get through this.
3 more Stage 4 metastatic cancer survivors free of this shitte as of today.
Come on cannabinoids! I think we're gonna beat all this Shiite ppl. I'm starting to know more SURVIVORS than patients. I'm so pumped!
3 people I know personally have beaten their illnesses that were diagnosed as incurable & inoperable.
B.S.!!! Bring on the green (or amber) oil baby. We got this. All of us.

:cheertwo::cheertwo: Budnoob2! Absolutely awesome news! This is so encouraging you all, and Cajuncelt you are one heck of a lead cheerleader!

Rock on and heal up everyone!

:bravo:

Fghtsmallcell,
good for you that you tried to get the word out and knew when it was pointless to keep trying. Unfortunately with this, instead of changing the world all at once, we have to change one person at a time it seems. (or one survivor at a time)

:circle-of-love:

Great news, I can start working my way down to maintenance doses gradually over the next week :) - I think you all know what that means, woohoo
Hell yeah. Man, this is working out to be a great week.
Congrats!!!
