if you adding calmag first bring it up to 150ppm then add base. canna base nutes arent great.

120 ppm was the number provided by Canna, 150 ppm is good. That would be around 7.5 ml. And you definitely want to add before the base.

You have good info my friend! Keep it up.

What if you tap water is 150ppm already do you cal/mag up to 300ppm then add base nutrients

Was going to come on and ask a question about ppm but after looking through post 1 of the thread I think I've got it answered. Basically - you're running a 700- 900 ppm range through flowering with daily feeding.
I wasn't sure about that balance of nute strength/number of feedings. The solo cup plant above was fed three times a day but never went above 650 ppm. That was my last coco run. Now I'm trying again and growing some plants in one gallon pots. First week of flower and they're around 12".
Daily feeding keeps them fairly wet but they don't seem to mind. But 650 ppm wasn't doing it for these ones with daily feedings and they looked hungry, so last night I bumped it up to 800 for now. Hopefully that makes them happy.
Not sure there's a question here, unless you just want to share thoughts on how/if the ppm changes when increasing or decreasing the frequency of feedings. I'm assuming that if I was to feed less often, I'd increase the ppm slightly, and vice versa.
Thanks again for the info. :thumb:

The way I read it is you need 150 +/- as a starting point for adding your base nutes.

That is around what I am doing, 120 ppm starting point with RO and Cal/Magic, the add my nutes. My plants love it. 15 days into 12/12 raising light daily and these bitches have been treated badly from day one.
This is just my opinion.

Can anyone tell me why my tap water has been very unstable lately. I mean the ppm goes from the normal 115ppm to 240ppm, and then back to 150ppm & today It was 250ppm ?? We also drink this water after filtering with a brita . What's causing this ??
Are you using water from a tap mate? My water can go from .4 to .6 EC out of the tap but usually its .5 or .6. I also notice this when I filter my water through my R/O filter. It has a ppm meter on the intake and outtake so you can see the ppm coming in and ppm coming out etc. The incoming water can go from 200 ppm to over 300ppm sometimes. It must be something they do at the water treatment facility's, plus all the crap in the pipes could effect the ppm of the water, I think it can be a magnitude of things which make the ppm fluctuate on its way to you and out of your tap, I'm not 100% tho, it may be bit more of a theory lol.

ive never seen that before but its likely something to do with what you are putting in as a base nute or an additive.

I've been growing at this location for at least 10 yrs. and this is the 1st. time It's deviated from the 115ppm. I don't see any change in growth, so I must be still within the limits ? As a matter of fact, they're growing like weeds !!

Ahh fair play, my water seems to fluctuate a bit where I am near London, we have pretty crap hard water around this area. I mean until I started testing my water EC I literally had no idea how much crap was in my water and I would have had no idea it fluctuates either. Good stuff, glad to hear their doing fine and growing like weeds .
