How To - 7 Gal Rim Mount SCROG Pots In 2 X 4 Tent - 8.25 Sq Ft

Have I told you lately how much I love your almost anal attention to the minutiae? Well, if I haven't, shame on me. :battingeyelashes:

Merry Christmas you amazing man. :hugs: I also determine precisely how much water I'll need and then wander through the math to get things balanced for my personal system. It's my way of quieting the frugal Scottish woman in my DNA who detests waste. :laughtwo:

It would probably be helpful if I also made note in my own journal as to the measurements of the drenches. I just realized I got really vague about it when it became more intuitive. I still measure though, so there's no reason not to report it, other than my own casual attitude.

To be perfectly honest, I measure casually. :battingeyelashes:

Well Hello there SweetS

So happy to have you here on CHRISTMAS
Staying warm I hope

Thanks, Yup just a tad anal but I own that shit :high-five:
its part of the way I understand things so seems
natural to include it all :)

I will change MY watering approach the next run as I prefer
to use only whats needed as well, very easy to mix 11 cups
& bottom tray water, but want to follow Doc's way this time.
This should give me a good BASE LINE for comparison, I hope :)

I don't think it really matters much over-all, seems wide open.
which is why I went with the stronger does at the start so to
head off a possible slow start, if it wont hurt there is no down side,
the way I see it

Before you were having a growth spurt underground with the roots. Now it is time to see some above ground, most notably after transplant.

For sure, I was going to do 7 day steps but at this early stage, with fast growth
looks like 2 day photo steps.

Looks like its official VEG TIME

Calling this Day 1 of Veg since there are 5 sets of Leafs
(starting with 1st single leaf set) and at least 1 set of
5 or more blade leafs at the 5th Node

Also please note these two plants had an early issue
with Low Humidity for 1 to 2 days so they did not get a
perfect start and are a little smaller than they would
have been.

BTW If you notice the Humidity gauge is reading rather low at 47 RH. Thats
because I had to open the tent to take the pictures and the humidity dropped.

Its normally

DAY between 55 and 63 with temps at 77 to 79f
NIGHT is 50 to 55 with temps between 66 and 68f

EDIT: Oh forgot to add the paper scales behind the plants are scaled at 1 inch
IGNORE the numbers each has only 4 inches of measuring distance

The Blueberry above is 2.5 inches tall and the GSCE is just a dash over 2"

Hey Gazoo,

Wasn't it you who spoke of a way to keep ladybugs around for a longer time? If so I was wondering if you could do a step-by-step post on how to do it.

I don't have any pest issues myself, but have in years past. I see lots of people talking about spraying this and that, as well as some who know to use sulfur burners.

I thought it may be a helpful tool in the arsenal for those at war with mites.

Yes I think you may be thinking about MY LADY BUG HOME :)
Very easy and last to the end of grow if set-up Mid to late Veg.

I was actually thinking about doing that sometime ago and then
it just got overlooked.

SINCE I am Posting it looks like I will FIM these 2 plants Tomorrow
at lights on. This will be at Node five, which BTW also look like
there could be 7 bladed leafs at that (5th) node :)

Also thinking I could of gone even heavier on the first TRANS/DUNK.
No reason showing just reading over at the other thread it sounds
like I may have actually been light of what could be used

yup, the lady bug home.

I can't wait to see your scrog!!
That one you posted pics of from the past was very nice.

Thanks Here is a picture of an earlier attempt
BTW The new RIM mount arm design now looks
really cool, Kinda art deco style

Anyway I think this was my second SCROG
front_a11.jpg

and this was an earlier attempt at 3 in my small 2' x 4' tent
Indica & Sativa Lucky they were on Modular SCROGS so I could raise and lower them individually

I have a scrog I won for the last MOTY that's still unopened. My tents are 2x2, so I'd have no wiggle room at all, and that's why it's still boxed. You tempt me to get it out and set the Jamaican under it before I flip her. She's probably got another couple weeks. If not this specimen, than certainly the next one. It can be set up in the bathroom, something that hadn't occured to me until this very minute.

Yeah..... I think it's too late to corral this pony. :laughtwo: The next plant to go in here may see that scrog above it.

You inspire me Gazoo. :hugs:

I like it. My tent is only 7 ft high so once all the accessory items are
included I only have like 3.5 to 4 foot Max of actual growing plant space

So if I can start them Flowering with a good even canopy at my 8 inch Net height
I could in theory get 30 to 40 Four foot colas. Not likely but I do consistently
get from 5.5 to 7 oz a plant.

However I do always want to let them go on there own just to see what happens
but then I cold feet and start the bondage

Most of the time I harvest more weight for my footprint, if I do some sort of training.

Yup I try and take into consideration the extra time it takes to SCROG,
Longer Veg, approx 2 extra weeks, give or take. Not sure if its really worth it
but in my space its a must

Haha! I'm the same way, start out thinking I'll let this one go free and then start chopping and topping because I know it'll increase yield. I've too much training on these pages to ignore the benefits of training. :laughtwo:

Absolutely, and when you use as much oil as my family does it takes quantity as well as quality.

I can't see how a consistent 5.5 to 7 oz per plant wouldn't be worth the extra two weeks in veg. I'm lucky to get 3-4, but I'm paying attention and learning as I go. I can keep them alive and looking pretty, but the real proof is in the end results.

If I could harvest a consistent 4-6 oz per plant I'd be so happy you might not be able to contain me. :laughtwo: I think I'll change that to "When I'm harvesting a consistent 4-6 ounces per plant I'll be so happy it'll make you guys crazy."

Yeah.... I like that feeling better. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Really I don't have much to gauge what the average untrained plant tent yield
is. I have always used some-type of training to keep things in check I do seem to
do better with only 2 in that tent so there is a point in the amount of space available
were things get to crowded and the result is less yeild
