Horse's Coco Hempy 400w CMH Vertical Crawlspace Grow 2010

Good thing he left before we slipped up and told him about only watering on Tuesdays.:grinjoint:

What about harvesting on Friday, anyone tell him about that? :grinjoint:

That's it! Enough!

I'm so confused now. I'm going home to my journal and will stay there! No more of this harassment. Three times the potency. Heat speeds up release of nutes.
Yea! Gods! Red nutes! Purple nutes! I'm even gonna tell my girls what you said!
Soooo Soooo There! :helpsmilie:

:yahoo:

Now your talking about me when I'm gone. Shame! Shame! You too Tmac!
:smokin2:

I dont remember typing that..... :yahoo:That might have been after I learned about the DM Reverse and came out of my depression. Could hardly type before then.... :)

Hey Horse, one of us is way too medicated 'cause I know I've looked at your chop pics 3 times and I can't find my reply. Sorry about that. I know I typed it. :tokin:
Is the Jack gettin' a little tastier? I know a week isn't much. Sounds like the potency gets a :thumb:
I don't know about you,but popcorn fits in my pipe just fine. North of 4 oz would smoke me out for months. Very Nice!

Boy Howdy, I wander away from the journal, and everybody starts partying without me... y'all did a pretty good job cleaning up, though :smokin:

TT and BD, I've got heat cables in the veg tents, they seem to work great... but then, there's no OC+ in there anymore :) The only OC+ girl left is Little Jack, and she's so close to finishing she's just gonna ride it out with MaxiBloom, KoolBloom, kelp, and Sucanat :cheertwo:

Mick, the JH is curing strangely. After 3 weeks, some of the jars smell nice and sweet, some don't? The effect, though, is great, even from the popcorn buds, which oughta be a unit of measurement, cos they fit perfectly in my pipe ;)

I do have progress pics from the missing weeks coming right up

:peace:

About 3 weeks ago I re-potted the JH clones into 1 gal grow bags. 2parts coco/1 part Fafard container soil. I mixed in a little Happy Frog Jump Start Organic TRFs, 1/2 dose MaxiBloom and Age Old Kelp. I've been feeding with a little Jump Start tea. The blue cups have White Russian clones in them.

I was thinking of putting them into flower in SOG but, about a week ago they started acting up, and now look like this:

DSC08762.jpg

Lots of single blades, heavy writhing, twisted senses of humor, would make for a scary bud porn flick :)

I'm thinking that for some reason they went into major re-veg since they came off a mom that was always showing stigmas, and was a week or two into flower. At least I'm hoping that. Has anyone seen this stuff before? and, other than the physical oddities, they look extremely healthy, and are growing like gang busters.

I've read that re-vegging takes about 3 weeks? Does that sound about right?

Here's another Jack about 2 months old in the same pot/medium as the Gnarly Sisters:

More to follow :peace:

Jan. 28th we were gifted with a Flo:

and an Hawaiian:

I don't know much about either, other than they are very healthy young ladies... now :tokin:

I had been noticing this:

on this Jack:

DSC08730.jpg

I thought it might be some cal/mag issue because it's in 2pts coco/1 pt container soil. I'd been putting cal/mag in every feeding, but maybe it was locked out, I'm not sure. I figured maybe I shoud bypass the roots, and after I foliar fed some cal/mag a few times, it seemed to clear up.

I'm playing with fire with this plant. My son said it was a Jack clone, but it looks a little different than the others, similar but slightly different. So now he's not sure if it's one of those danged hermi Jamaicans.

She looks so nice, I hate to kill her without knowing for sure, but the hermies seeded all of his last crop.

Luckily, I caught the one I had in time, and no damage here. Mine went hermie about 2 weeks into 12/12 (stigmas showed about a month from seed popping). So, I'm gonna wait... I guess :goodluck:

Here's the shady lady now:

Hay Tmac, I just flashed that you got some sex change stuff. Did it work?

More to come :peace:

This is definitely a Jack Herer. 52 days of 12/12:

She's doing her frosty thing :) She has a full load of OC+, but it hadn't been kicking in with the cooler temps. I started hitting her with powdered MaxiBloom, KoolBloom, and kelp.

I really like the GH dry stuff. I think it's less expensive than the OC, and has everything in it, including cal/mag. It's probably goofy, but I like mixing stuff up. The OC+ always seemed so impersonal. Making up the nutes to grow pot is kinda like alchemy, figuratively turning shit (nutes) into gold... the Acapulco kind ;)

Next, a very small harvest...

Sup Horse!

Some nice looking plants you got going. As for the bad leaves, it looks as if you might be experiencing a Manganese deficiency. Check this out and let me know your thoughts.

Manganese (Mn) Micronutrient and Immobile Element

Manganese Helps enzymes break down for chlorophyll and photosynthesis production, as well as it works with plant enzymes to reduce nitrates before producing proteins.

Having plants that are deficient in manganese can turn the young leaves into spotted (mottled) yellow and or brown areas on young leaves. Dead (Necrotic) yellow spots form on top leaves, while the lower older leaves will or may have gray specks and or spots. Symptoms can include yellowing of leaves while the leaf veins can stay green. Can also produce a chequered effect. As the plant gets newer growths the plant will seem to grow away from the problem, that’s why the younger leaves may be unaffected. On the top of the leaves, brown spots can appear. While the severe areas of the leaves turn brown and wither. Parts Affected by a Manganese deficiency are: Young leaves.

Too much Manganese in the soil will cause an iron deficiency. The blotchy leaf tissue is caused by not enough chlorophyll synthesis. Your plants will seem to have very weak vigour caused by the excessive amount of manganese.

Problems with Manganese being locked out by PH troubles

Soil ph of over 6.5, High iron soils, Low nitrogen Soils, Dry weather
and compacted soil.

Soil

Manganese gets locked out of soil growing at ph levels of 2.0-5.0
Manganese is absorbed best in soil at a ph level of 5.5-6.5 (Wouldn’t recommend having a soil ph of over 7.0 in soil) anything out of the ranges listed will contribute to a Manganese Deficiency.

Hydro and Soil less Mediums

Manganese gets locked out of Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels of 2.0-4.5
Manganese is absorbed best in Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels of 5.0-5.6 (Wouldn’t recommend having a ph over 6.5 in hydro and soil less mediums.) Best range for hydro and soil less mediums is 5.0 to 6.0. Anything out of the ranges listed will contribute to a manganese deficiency.

Solution to fixing a Manganese deficiency
Foliar feed with any chemical fertilizer containing Mn., or mix with water and water your plants with it. Any Chemical/Organic nutrients that have Manganese in them will fix a Manganese deficiency. (Only mixing at ½ strength when using chemical nutrients or it will cause nutrient burn!) Other nutrients that have Manganese in them are: Manganese chelate, Manganese carbonate, Manganese chloride, Manganese dioxide, Manganese oxide, Manganese sulfate, which are all fast absorption. Garden Manure, Greenssand are both good sources of manganese and are medium/ slow absorption.

Now if you added to much chemical nutrients and or organics,( which is hard to burn your plants when using organics) You need to Flush the soil with plain water. You need to use 2 times as much water as the size of the pot, for example: If you have a 5 gallon pot and need to flush it, you need to use 10 gallons of water to rinse out the soil good enough to get rid of excessive nutrients.

Picture 1 shows a manganese deficiency in flowering.

So today was the chopping block for Miss Mutant, the White Russian:

DSC08741.jpg

I probably screwed the pooch with her. I didn't flush :tokin: Most of her life was OC+, and she still had a full pant load, but for her last month she was on the Maxi & KoolBloom and Sucanat diet.

I spaced out the flush. She hadn't been fed anything for a week, but she never drank anything anyway. Her hempy bucket was still full... but I did keep her in the dark for 2 days. She may put a new spin on stanky ;)

She was covered from her petiole bases to her tiny, mutant leaf tips.

Wet weight 4.7 zs, so maybe a z dry?

Not much visible support, either!

Her daughters. Small, but straight... well, you know what I mean ;)

More adventures later, thanks for lookin' in.

Hay Tmac... I'm a pushover, it's Mrs Horse they have to impress :tokin:

Say didn't you get some Reverse or something to turn a hermie? Did it work?

We got 1/8" of snow today, ha!

:peace:

It is most important to keep Mrs Horse happy!! :Namaste:

I have treated/sprayed them and will continue to. I am still picking balls off also. :grinjoint:I expect to get some seed, but some smokable pot too. If I had already had some on hand I would have got an earlier start on spraying them.

We got 2 inches late Wednesday nite.
