Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

Yes, it makes sense to me to get a strain as close as possible to the source but getting seeds directly from Katsu was my worst nightmare seed wise so it is always a gamble. I was mostly just having a bad day today than really this distraught about seeds.

Surprisingly Dutch’s GG4 according to what he posted on his journal was actually a Canuk seed which surprised me because the NL I grew of theirs was nothing special. A grow supply store near me carries them but is out of stock, D’oh!

I ordered a Gorilla Glue #4 and Bubba Kush from Dr. Seeds so I am hoping for the best but thanks for the heads up about Thugpug; I need to do more seed research.

I went grocery shopping yesterday and there was not one roll to be found.

Ideally at once...

naw... they'll eat it all up first, then realize they're in trouble, and too fat to move, when they run out of toilet paper in the middle of shitting it all out .... :cheesygrinsmiley:

My buds from my two Northern lights cuttings are getting pretty close to 70% so I’m taking them out of the fridge and into Tupperware for curing.

With some fearing the imminent collapse of civilization it seemed like an opportune time to try out some of my cured NL that is now being stored in the freezer packed in mason jars. I hardly ever smoke so I can’t authoritatively say how smooth it is because I always cough like crazy but this time after my initial hacking that was it, so I think the freezer method has some validity in making bud smoother but I defer my opinion to regular smokers who would know best. I can attest though it does more than complete the task when smoked. Bob's your uncle and tally Ho! :headbanger::party:I have been writing this for what seems an eternity.

Once I had enough bud cut up to roll a pinner I got curious what it looked like under magnification because I don’t remember really checking before now with my dry bud but with just my samples for deciding when to harvest. Here is a little bit of cured bud porn.

As a former photographic student, I take no pride in the quality of my close-up pictures taken with my cheap loupe and iPhone. But then again the guys in construction that couldn't do anything right always blamed the equipment.

Looking back on my reaction to my P 98 seeds failing I fear life has turned me into George Costanza’s father but looking at my Northern Lights harvest and the decent quality of the cured bud under magnification and most important of all the way it does the job, now that I sit down and smell the roses I’m in a pretty good position. Thanks to all who helped me get here. :thumb:

My indefensible defense though is that it wasn’t just that a few seeds didn’t come up instead I thought they were supposed to be some super-strain so my plans were to make S1’s and just pheno hunt them for the foreseeable future so when they kept failing not only was I caught flat-footed without my seeds decided all my plans for the future of seed making went down the drain temporarily and I’m back at square one.

Serenity now, serenity now.

Your NL looks frosty...one of my all time favorites and on my short list for future grows. Nice!
Thanks, cr8grow. I have grown 3 breeder's NL so far and I do like Sensi the best; nice healthy easy to grow plants.

I'm sure it's not your technique of sprouting since you have no trouble with other seeds, and seeds that crack someplace other than the seam aren't going to sprout for anyone. I'd just consider it a string of bad luck and it's great you have the clones. If you love the smoke, perfect! If you don't, no reason to blow your time and confidence trying to germ the rest.

“The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.” ― Charles Bukowski

Obviously confidence isn't my problem, lol. I can't explain it but after trying everything else I have accepted it for my peace of mind. o_O :goof: I agree with your thinking but I was thinking for my next generation to try and start all the rest of the seeds at once instead of having failure after failure and then be done with it.

I am pretty impressed that I ordered my Dr. Seeds Friday afternoon and they came today Monday in the morning mail. Here we go again!:nervous-guy:

Fingers crossed bro.
Thank you buddy; so kind of you. From what I have seen of people growing Dr. Seeds online they seem promising. I was kind of caught off guard and had to get something quick so I think time to plan my next seeds is now.
