Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

Doubtful customs will seize your package Homer. I have been ordering seed from overseas for years and have never had a problem here in Canada, the seeds themselves are not illegal here.

I think you are right that it is doubtful customs will seize my package and I only mentioned it because they've had it 6 days but I assume that's because of covid. But actually I think seeds used to be legal in Canada but when they decriminalized cannabis in Canada they changed the law so that you have to buy them from a government-sanctioned source like the stores that sell weed but the big joke was the sanctioned stores didn't have them when things first became legal. I think it's like many laws in Canada it's not being enforced but if you don't buy seeds from a government-sanctioned store you are breaking the law. I think the gov't sees the seed market as way too valuable not to monopolize.

Congratulations on the harvest Homer! She was a beautiful plant and what a great job you did with her.:welldone:

Thank you, oldsmokey. I appreciate the complement and thanks for being along for the ride.

Great harvest and great pictures Homer! And now room for one more :).

Thank you, Shed. Yes, just waiting for it to arrive. :thumb:

Here's the final pictures of the old gal.

With all the excitement of harvesting and recording my GG plant, I have been ignoring my Bruce Banner while she goes nuts. Since only three weeks and one day since flipping the light, she certainly has got a good set of buds going already. Also, a lot of trichs on the sugar leaves; if this is any indication she may be a prolific budder. The way she has suddenly blossomed it's almost like she has an alter ego!

The flowers are out of focus on this shot but I wanted to focus on the leaves to show all trichs already.

She also has a very pleasant lemony smell. I'm like in this plant especially since she stop stretching so I know I have enough headroom also.

It’s gonna be good smoke too.
I can believe it how nice she smells and how sticky she is already. A Sativa dominant hybrid too so I am looking forward to how she feels.

I thought of the effects as being mire balanced but that’s just me maybe.
Oh, I didn't know you have tried it. I think I read there are 3 phenos for BB so maybe you got a balanced one. I don't really care what it is like because my GG is decent for daytime and I have more Sativa about to arrive. I am looking forward to how frosty she gets because apparently she can do pretty well.

I realized I sort of overdid it with Sativas but I have Chemdawg for a night-timer so I am going to grow a lot of that for my evening snoozy meds with clones as I would have with the 98's if that had worked out.

I have a few more of them I think I will eventually try out... ( they really need a head banging on wall emoji)

I have been looking into Canada’s “Micro Producer’s“ laws and will let you in on our countries “dirty little secret” concerning Cannabis genetics. ALL of the Standard Producers (the big guys like Tillray and Aurora), their genetics were all illegal at startup and these are the guys we are “supposed” to buy our seed and clones from.

When they wrote the laws for the Micro Producers, they put a clause in there to allow for what they refer to as “Grey Market” genetics. If you get approved for a craft license, you can grow whatever Grey Market genetics you have on hand the day you start production. In other words, if you have seed from 100 or 1000 different strains, this is what you are allowed to produce, and they have to be on site and accounted for when they do their initial inspection for license approval. This was, and is, something the Standard Producers were, and are, not given the option of.

The Canadian gov’t doesn’t want to block the importation of seed, “grey market genetics” for this reason.

Kind of funny when you trust the black market over the government. That Speaks volumes!
Yep, that’s why I got my med card so I could cultivate my own. Dispensaries are charging $60-75 for an eighth. I’ve seen a half ounce of popcorn buds go for as much as $260 at dispensaries in my area.

On the flip side of that there’s what I like to call “free market” where the prices are much better. For instance, a friend hit me up out of the blue this past Monday to let me know he had purple punch...for a $125 a half. I said yes please! Shit, he even delivered it! :headbanger:

Forgot to mention that one of the conundrums as well is that it’s legal to grow but there isn’t anywhere to buy seeds lol. None, not the state nor the dispensaries. So the way I see it is since it’s legal for me to grow then it’s legal for me to purchase seeds of my choosing from where I choose. The fees can go fuck their self. :slide:

It seems we have a lot of Grey Laws in Canada. I keep to the 4 plant max but I am not going to grow crappy seeds because the gov't wants a monopoly. Besides growing legendary strains is half the fun of growing.

FREE THE SEEDS!!!

I will never do it because I am too lazy and can live on my pension but I would love to be a Micro Producer. I am sure though they make it impossible without a major investment and red tape to cut out the little guy like me.
