Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

Old Miss Gorilla Glue made the decision for me because she stopped drinking and the bud on a couple of her branches was dying so I harvested the old gal today. I hate to see them go but it was her time and I tried to give her a good life.

The wet harvest weight was 41 ounces. I have only been giving it about a litre of water a day because I read about that PhD graduate who was the first to get his degree studying cannabis in Canada that starving them of water at the end increases resin. Don't know if it does but it's also easier to throw out the soil in the garbage if it's dry and light in weight.

So I'm thinking this bud might be drier than normal and I might get a little more than 25% so a little more than 10 ounces but whatever I get I'm happy with it and I consider it a very successful grow. Just shows though that that Northern Lights plant I grew really was a great plant because I didn't veg it as long and it was also in a 5 gallon and this was in a 10 gallon and I got 10 ounces off it.

My GG compared to my NL.

Nothing new for a month?! Wow! Well, I hope it's getting fatter, at least. :slide: It'd be nice to have a sativa leaning GG. Did you get a clone by any chance? :cheesygrinsmiley:

Nope not getting fatter either; another reason to take it. I took a cutting because Penny said it was a good idea and I agreed but now I don't need it being limited to four plants so it's breaking my heart but I'm going to throw it out.

Homer, Are you scoping the calyxes at the top of the upper buds? For a long flowering sativa leaning strain do they still throw out new pistils through to the end?

That's where I do usually take my samples and this thing is not throwing out anything new and hasn't in about a month.

Sativas tend to reflower over and over. You just have to take when you think they are ready.
Next time I'll do it different, Penny.

I trimmed this thing weeks ago really well and then starved it for water because I thought it would be done long ago so between the two I think it's day is done because some branches and buds are definitely dead and she stopped taking on water. Next time I won't trim and I will let a Sativa run its course.

But I am pretty happy with the tinture I make from the stuff I took from this plant about a week ago so I am sure I will be happy with this. It is a good daytimer but still looking forward to some pure Sativas.

Homer...congrats on the harvest...it looked great right to the end.

Hey, thanks, cr8grow. Also thanks for being along for the ride.

Ask @bobrown14 about taking long running sativas

I would like to hear about that sometime.

Nice yield on the GG

Thanks, Penny, and thanks for the help all through it.

Chop when you see nanners anytime after 90 days

I didn't see any but thanks for the tip; I will keep my eyes open for that in the future.

Here are some pics of some of today's nicest buds. I left them full-sized so they are pretty big files so you can really enlarge and see the trichs.

Nice for a long running sativa!
I'm happy with it. It's working really nice for my day time micro-doser and I use so little of that this thing alone will last a long time and I got several more Sativas to try out which should be even more uppy than this hybrid. It's fun to try new strains but if I had to just use Northern lights and Gorilla Glue I'd probably be pretty content.

Nice looking buddage Homer and great work on the images. Top notch all around.
Thank you so much Mr. S; very kind of you.

Here are a few more GG pics that didn't make the first cut.

Keep working at the new strains
I am looking forward to it. My Amnesia should be interesting and then CHEMDAWG! Unless it has been seized by customs it is supposed to be here by tomorrow but I expect it may be a few days more. And Bruce Banner is budding like a maniac!!

One more.

Doubtful customs will seize your package Homer. I have been ordering seed from overseas for years and have never had a problem here in Canada, the seeds themselves are not illegal here.
