Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

In the veg room my GG cutting is doing well but unfortunately now that I am going to turn her into a Bonsai tree for a while I put her in too big of a pot ( 1 gallon ) I know now that I read the article @Mr. Krip posted a link to.
Nice work, Brother and GG is looking great! :welldone:

You can always take the Bonsai out of the #1, prune the roots, and put her back in a half gallon container, or smaller. Just be careful about taking too much off at any one time.

It look like that "unnamed" seedling is stretching and needs to be closer to the light, BTW. ;)

Thanks, buddy.

Here are the photos I took tonight with my new stand contraption and I am just shocked at what good quality pictures an iPhone seven will take. The first picture looks pretty sharp and came out well.

The photo below though is the one that blows me away because the photo on the right is an enlargement of the yellow section of the first pic and it is sharp enough at that enlargement to pass as a perfectly decent photo. The more I play with my iPhone 7 camera the more impressed I am with it.
Homer, The pics are publication quality. Thanks for sharing the link...got me to thinking a microphone stand would work for wifi microscope shots..any movement at that magnification ruins the shot.

Thank you, Mr.Krip. I think genetics and Penny's advice is the secret to my GG's success more than anything I did.

I appreciate the advice on my Bonsai; I will try to be conservative with my root pruning.

The "unnamed" seed I just recalled is Amnesia; I don't know why I keep forgetting that. And yes I concur it wasn't getting enough light because it was fighting with Bruce Banner for light under my blurple which is part of the reason I reorganized my grow room and set up a second budding light. Hopefully, now that she is just sharing the light with my Bonsai plant she will get all the light she needs and stop stretching.

Thank you, cr8grow; appreciate the comment about my pics. Oddly enough my microscope just arrived today in the mail. I bought the one that Old Salt recommended and has. He still isn't back online so I guess he isn't doing too well. I really hope he gets better soon; I miss him.

I wasn't aware your GG is from Dr Seeds. That's good to know I have some in my collection. Is that where the GDP were from also?

Yes, my GG is from Dr. Seeds but I have never actually grown a GDP; you must be thinking of someone else. But I do recommend Dr. Seeds; the GG looks like a winner and I previously grew their 1:20 CBD strain and it was a nice healthy plant; not a huge yielder but good and healthy and nicely fragrant and sticky. I got six nice ounces off that CBD strain.

Sorry I am old and get confused easily. I am planing on growing Dr seeds 20:1 CBD next run. I was asking because I have those in stock from them GG & GDP I haven't tried anything from Dr seeds yet.

Looking great Homer and good work with the photos. Nicely done!

Thank you, Mr. S.; means a lot coming from the man who consistently grows the uber massive colas.

No problem, oldsmokey; I am only 60 and I am in a constant state of confusion. I think you will be pleased with the GG and GDP 1:20 from Dr. Seeds but as I said can't comment on the GDP but I assume it will be pretty good too. Good luck with them.

I really am confused because I did have to edit this.

I’ve suffered for years. Lol
Yes, I am just trying to appreciate every day I still have enough marble to enjoy it or know how to put my pants on. :headbanger:

If our bodies just hold up we’ll be fine lol
Yeah, being pushed around in a wheelchair all hunched over and shriveled up seems kind of a drag but more than anything else probably pretty boring if I'd even know who I am though. I'm just trying to enjoy myself while it does hold up. The older I get though the more wondrous and interesting the world seems even if it is going to shit. I'm just trying to live it up in my own little world until the Gestapo drags me out of my house.

I probably spent pretty close to two hours coaxing my computer to install the program I need for my new microscope and then not long after tinkering with it I realized the stand it comes with is not up to the task to get the most out of it.

It only has one adjustment knob which they call the focus/magnification but it can’t be both and indeed it is a magnification knob. The best way to convey this is an analogy of a high school microscope. A high school microscope usually has three lenses of different magnification on the bottom near where the specimen is located which change the magnification when they are rotated to interchange use. The magnification dial on my microscope performs the same function but instead of having three steps like the microscope with three lenses, this is an infinitely variable zoom between probably about the same range. But it does not have a focus adjustment so the focused is fixed so the only way to focus in on something is to move the camera in and out to move the focal plane across the desired part of the object being photographed.

So what this microscope really needs is a platform that raises and lowers it on an accurate vertical axis like an old high school focus knob works by raising the lens up and down. I didn’t realize this till after dinner so I slapped this little thing together with a hot glue gun as a millwright I'm ashamed to admit in about an hour. It does the job but the biggest flaw is that the zoom knob on it is fairly stiff and the clamping system that comes with the microscope is not very sturdy so that whenever I try and change the magnification it moves enough so I lose my viewpoint. But by holding it down and turning the big jacking bolt in and out I could very finely adjust my focal plane so despite its flaws it was a working prototype.

So my upgrades in the Micro-Elevator 3000 1.1 include eliminating the included base and universal clamping system with something more solid which holds the microscope vertical securely enough so the magnification can be adjusted without changing the viewpoint and increasing the adjustment length to make up for the fact I am losing the adjustment in the arm.

Here are a few of today's pics trying to go from least magnification to most. Actually I could have had photos with less magnification but my stand isn't tall enough for that but I'm not sure if I really need that.

I think that's pretty decent for a $30 little toy. I feel a lot more confident now with my pics because with my other set up I really wasn't sure between cloudy and clear often. I think this thing has more potential.

Oh yeah, looks like lots of clear, a ways to go.
