Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

She is a funny one because there are no ambers at one day shy of nine weeks when according to Dr. Seeds it should take 7 to 9 weeks. Like I just learned from you some Indicas don't go amber so maybe that's it but it's not all cloudy either.

Emilya has a theory that breeders consider the start of flowering in their estimates as when the first sign of flowering shows up on the plant like a pistil not when it is flipped with the lights to 12 hours. The more I think about it the more that seems possible because it takes usually about two weeks to see pistils and about how much their estimates seem to be out. Either that or they all lie because everybody else lies.
Homer...my limited experience is 10 days to really see pistils from the tip growth. Im with you...seems like mature flower times are from first sign of actual fuzz.

I give Emilya credit for the theory but thinking about it I don't think I have had a plant that was done in the claimed timeframe ever but always too longer.

A good problem with many fixes

I don’t pay much attention to breeder estimates other than a rough estimate. Most seem to be best around 8-10 weeks after the first pistils show.
I think I have been giving 10 or 11 weeks but that is counting from the time I flip so assuming it takes two weeks to see pistils I am giving them eight or nine weeks according to your method so that's pretty close. I may have rushed my early harvests but now that I have a good supply I'd rather do them right and have a better supply.

Same here, took me a couple of grows to build up a stash. Then I slowed down just a little.
For me, it worked miracles for my patience. :)

I spread out a couple of oilers from the resin I used in my weight experiments to check any differences in color or opaqueness between the 10 minute and 24-hour wash samples. It doesn't show up that much in the photo but the 10-minute soak is more honey-colored and the 24-hour one is more greenish but as far is being opaqueness there really isn't much difference.

I don't smoke it usually even though I'll probably give these a test each with a puff for the sake of "science" but taking it orally it seems there is a big loss if you just use the 3 to 5-minute wash alone because I collected an additional 80% resin with my second 24-hour wash with the same bud. I wish I remember who suggested the double wash method because for me it works but I have no memory.

I think it does for all of us, once you get a few jars ahead you kinda change gears.
True, I have more patience because I have a safe stockpile so now I find I want to grow good quality and interesting stuff.

I used to do 2 washes with mine.
I put it on my food and I usually don't even taste it even with the first batch I only strained to 80 µm without coffee filters so I am sure both will be fine for me.

I took your advice Penny and staked my GG today and she is looking happier. I think she would have tipped right over in a few more days so I staked her trunk. I also put a single string around her about 3/4 the way up her to keep her buds upright; it works really well.

Here is the staking.

There was a second thing to report but it escapes me at the moment. Oh yes, the Amnesia has cracked and has a tap root.
