Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

Hello Homer, Once you have evaporated all the Alcohol and weighed it, what are you going to add to it.? Honey, oil or just a bit a lemon gin, peanut butter you could do almost anything to get it out of that bowl. Also, I was thinking if you find there is waste, could you not make this from Kief. Hello BudShark, I am just evaporating all the alcohol so I can weigh it and determine how much resin I extracted so once I do that I will just add more 95% ethyl alcohol to make basically what I started with but maybe with less alcohol so it's more concentrated. So funny you mentioned lemon gin because in high school I once drank a Mickey and puked my guts out all night so to this day that stuff does not appeal to me at all, LOL.

I have never tried to extract Kief and not exactly sure how it's done although I have read about using dry ice and a screen bag. That just seems like an inefficient method to me because it's basically mechanical and relies on shaking so there would be a lot left behind but I could be totally wrong but maybe I will try that down the road. I have to drive to the next city to get dry ice so that is another reason it doesn't really appeal to me. Cheers, mate. Sorry I forgot to do a reply so you may not know I replied for a while.
 
Not much going on in the garden other than everything is healthy and growing away but no big changes visually. My Bruce Banner fell over again after I removed its support so I didn't bother taking a picture of it with its brace on; kind of humiliating for the Hulk.

Here is my Gorilla Glue a couple weeks into flower. I don't even think it stretched 6 inches which is nice so it maintained a pretty level canopy but I did super crop a couple of branches to keep it even.

She is starting to get some little buds going. Nothing stinky yet but it's still pretty early.

Thanks. I hope so. From some pics I have seen of GG it has potential. I was reading GG is just an average yielder but surprisingly the Bruce Banner is supposed to be a big yielder. So between the two I should do pretty good. Since all those bad seeds threw me off schedule it seems forever since I have had a plant with big buds. This darn hobby is addictive, lol.

Thanks, oldsmokey, glad to have you sticking around. I am pretty curious myself how she finishes. I appreciate the suggestion to enter her in POTM but I already have one submitted this month and I think only one is allowed besides I would hate to lose to myself, lol. :oops:

Hello Homer, Great, I am not the only one who as woken up and felt like he had eaten a full Christmas tree the night before, just the smell will make me sick now. Lol If something works for you, why change it, you can still try to improve it, i gueass that is where the sativa comes in. Cheers

Yup, don't miss those days; I am pretty moderate in my drinking now because I just don't want to feel like crap anymore but I had my days especially when I was an apprentice, LOL.

Yes, I keep trying to improve things not so much because things don't work but because I have the time and I find it interesting; I find the tincture feels better and even lasts a lot longer than my previous olive oil extractions. I read the reason oils work for extraction is because the cannabinoids bind with oil so I was thinking maybe that's why it doesn't work as well as the tincture because basically the alcohol evaporates which leaves pure unbonded resin. Totally hypothesizing here so as usual, I could be totally wrong. Yeah, I got my Sativa ordered so I'm looking forward to that also.

I appreciate the suggestion but I would prefer to just enter one photo at a time per month; no reason for that thinking but that's just what feels right to me. Maybe my thinking is always leave them wanting more.:p

That does make it more challenging with such an old camera; amazing how time flies that digital cameras have been around that long. I also have an unfair advantage; I studied photography at college over 40 years ago before I sold my soul for security and became a millwright.

I'm not surprised the Nikon takes better pictures. I worked in a camera store for a couple years part-time and Nikon's were always top-of-the-line in the retail market. Only thing better back in those days I think were the Hasselblads and Leicas. And if memory serves me I think for an 8 x 10 photo four megapixels was plenty so I would think your five-megapixel pics would look pretty good on here for resolution and yea crazy the resolution phones even have now.
