Me too. About the only thing, I had to take in recently was my computer when I couldn't reload Windows but I love my computer guy, he is always trying to find me a cheaper solution. Not many like him.

Got to agree, Internet is great for repairs, washing machine, Heating system in car and my Dishwasher, did youtube search and was able to fix on my own. Saved me possibly 600 or 700 dollars or more. Seems every time I bring my car in for anything its at least 400 dollars no matter what. Cheers

My car battery died a couple of weeks ago and it's convenient for me to go to Midas because it's within walking distance so I called them up and they wanted over $260 with tax for a new battery for my Chevy Cruz. I called up a local tire and battery store I have gone to since I can remember and they delivered one for $160 with tax. So I saved almost 40%. Bastards, lol.

I strained one of the one-half ounce of 1:20 bud I have been soaking in 95% ethyl alcohol for five days and under magnification again, like the earlier ones I soaked for less time, there are lots of trichomes left on the supposedly extracted bud. That was surprising but the question is are all those trichomes empty shells or still full of resin?
I am kind of guessing how much I have extracted so I got the idea I can weigh a container and then put the tincture into it until all the alcohol has evaporated and weigh it again and subtract the earlier weight of the container and that should tell me how much resin I have extracted. So I won't have to scrape the container and then I can add more alcohol and make a tincture again.
I am going to do that with the second half-ounce I still have soaking and then I am going to cook a new batch in jars in a crockpot to see if I get any more that way and do the weigh test again. I think I am leaving a lot behind so instead of guessing and looking at the leftover bud this way I will really know how much different methods extract.

If by that you mean that they don't have heads on them I would agree that almost all seem not to but I wonder if there is any resin left in the trichomes stalks? Maybe I did recover almost all the resin but the only way to find out is to let the alcohol evaporate and weigh it so tomorrow I will strain the second half ounce I still have soaking and let it evaporate and weigh the resin. I am curious what I will get. I am getting some because it does work, lol.
I don’t think much would be left after a soak in isopropyl

I think you could very well be right but I couldn't find any when I went shopping. Sooner or later I should find some. Like when they have a vaccine, lol.
Grow store would have iso cheap.

I strained my second batch of 1/2 ounce of bud tincture that had been soaking for six days. Before I put it in the Tupperware container I weighed the container to 3 decimal places so once all the alcohol evaporates I should know how much extract I am getting with ethyl alcohol by reweighing the container with the pure resin and subtracting the container weight. Should be a couple days.
