HomeMedGrower's Coco GDP

Looking good so far HMG - :thumb:

By the way, your PE's look like one of the two I have quite a bit (just as moms at the moment - I culled the one in flower).

One thing about the one pheno that looks like yours - I don't like how it roots as a clone. Mine, both the mom and the cutting of it I culled, are really blatant examples of "lack of taproot syndrome" (something I just made up, lol).

Clones are always a bit wobblier for lack of taproot - compared to plants grown from seed with taproot, but the one PE that I have that looks like yours has really poor root strength as a result. There are a lot of roots, but it's like you could just push her over. I thought at first I had a problem with the one in flower, but when I culled her the roots looked great, just didn't support the plant well for some reason. I'm super curious if you notice anything similar, especially as they get bigger/older.

I have another PE mom, that appears to be a different pheno, that is very sturdy as a clone despite the lack of taproot, so I'm guessing it's just the one pheno or something... Like I said, yours look similar to my weak legged pheno, so let me know your thoughts when you get a moment...

So far what I have noticed is that PE2 is a stinky ass bitch! I swear I just bunp her and she is throwing out a very pungent aroma.

The top of PE1 took a couple days longer to root then the cuttings from PE2 which where lower on the plant. The root structure looked the same when I transplanted as well. I will keep my eye out for anything unusual.

Good lookin girls my friend.
I just got done harvesting my first ever GDP. I swear it's the best smelling cannabis I have ever had the pleasure to stick my nose in the jar ;)

:thanks:A1

I have heard nothing but good things about GDP. Would love to see a picture of your finished flowers if you have any.

Glad to see ya around, hope you are doing well buddy.

It sure does put off some powerful scent. I only have one plant of GDP and it has a powerful smell. I had to take the ladies out of the grow box to swap out their drain trays. While they were out in open air, I couldn't believe how funky they smelled. The good news is ... I know that my charcol filter is working .... LOL.

I have started to notice the aroma in the last couple days. I can tell she is going to be a nice and smelly girl.

Photo Update

GDP doing great after her topping the other day. Looks like it's time for another round of stripping for her.

Hey MR.G glad to see you out and about. Nice you were able to post some pics again. You know I have read a few different strains not responding to GLR one reason I don't use it.

As far as flushing before taken cuttings no I don't. I usually try to take clones on or after a watering day. ( A watering day for me is tap water at 230ppm and 10ML Hydro Honey per gallon.)

Also for my cuttings I only use tap water never sat out or PH'd or anything like that untill I start to see roots. Then it's on to the regular program.

My tap comes out about 330 ppm and 7.4 ph horrible hard water and sitting out doesnt help me nehow maybe the superthrive is causing this next time ill leave out the ST and go just tap and see thanks for the info and about water day when i first started i used to have a just water day but found that if i keep them from burning at like 75% strength a 25% watering can be done instead of plain water imo and i dont completly strip them of everything but i do at least 25% runoff every time whats your thoughts on this?

Yeah my water ph is closer to 8. Never used Superthrive, I know a lot of people swear by it though.

Since I use my tap for everything I always feed at 75% of the BPN chart. I usually go about 10 to 15% runoff with every feed or water.

I think flushing with a 25% nute solution is a way better idea than stripping them of everything.
