HMG's Hempy Grow 2011 Blue Cheese - Herijuana Jack 33

Re: HMG's Hempy Grow 2011 Blue Cheese, Herijuana Jack 33

Great looking plants HomeMedGrower!:goodjob: They are very healthy, lush and green. Keep up the good work!

Good explanation of the Smart Pots, they do exactly what you stated. As for the rootball, it pretty much ends up being the entire pot. A weave of roots, most very thin, and its very difficult to remove from the pot.

Any theory on this? I have read switching back to the MH for the last two weeks of flower gives frostier flowers.

Thanks yarddog, and :welcome:

I am glad I got something right. I know what you are talking about, being difficult to remove. I transfered these from a one gallon smart pot not a good time.

I have been reading about people using the MH to try and limit stretch, I do not know for sure how well this works. My girls are stretching still at about an inch a day.

I have also read about people changing the light cycle to increase frost and bulk up weight. I have no experience doing this but I find it very interesting.

I know Goldengoose7 is experimenting with different light schedules. He is very knowledgeable and I think he might be the person to talk to about that.
I would not even mind if you guys talk about it here as I am trying to learn as much as I can.

Re: HMG's Hempy Grow 2011 Blue Cheese, Herijuana Jack 33

I have not. But I know it is used heavily down in the SJV. Lots of orchards down there.

Have you tried it?

Sent from my iPod touch using Forum Runner

I have not used it yet but have some on the way. I thought here in my area of vineyards, hop fields, orchards as well as feed lots that it would be easy to find. Boy was I wrong.

From my understanding it has like 67 trace elements in it. It is organic so it will be hard to burn the plants I just really think that it could be very useful for gardening in general.

Re: HMG's Hempy Grow 2011 Blue Cheese, Herijuana Jack 33

I have been reading a lot about using MH to help with limiting stretch. I have very litte space if you take into account my tent is 63" my filter is about 12" around then add the hieght of the pot and about 10 to 12" between the light and plants. I do not have a lot of room.

I am trying to learn every way possible that I can make the most of the space I have available.

I must say I am not the type of person how will do something just cause. :bongrip:

Hey HMG! Sorry for the vague post, I really was just too medicated to type much more.....

I have definitely read that it is beneficial to mix spectrums. I am ramping up the 64 and 65K spectrums in my flower room right now, as I near the end of this grow. I know I haven't posted about it, just been super busy.....
I wouldnt suggest doing anything "just because" either lol....:Namaste:

Also, you may want to consider supercropping to manage height, as it seems a bit late to start LSTing. Are you familiar with the tecnique?

I need to do some researching about supercropping. I do have these two tied down some. I did it after I topped them. I will try and get some better pics up tomorrow when I water.

Definitely let us know how that stuff works for you! We are about 70 miles from the heart of the California bread basket "The San Joaquin Valley", so I could probably pick some up at one of the "Big AG shops" down there if it is worth the effort. We make a trip down there a couple of times a year for stuff you can't get up here in the mountains. ;)

Eh, not much to research, just roll the stem between your finger with a little preasure, then slowly bend that sucker till it stays at a 90 degree angle. Just be careful not to actually split the stem as you bend. You do want to create a crease, and it WILL seem terrible at first. But you'll see in afew days that she actually likes it! The crease will sort of knot up, and strengthen, its quite cool....:goodluck:

Sounds simple enough. I think this is something that I may try at one point, but since I have no experience with this technique. I would probably want to try while they are in veg, less stress during flowering. ;)

Re: HMG's Hempy Grow 2011 Blue Cheese, Herijuana Jack 33

Oh for sure brother, I wouldn't recommend supercropping any later than the 3rd or 4th week of flower. It CAN be done, but you're right, it will stress them out. I will be showing the results of my supercropping at the end of my current journal. I employed the technique as late as week 6 of flower on one of my mothers, and it stunted the flowers pretty badly. It was close to week 5 on the other and she has performed beautifully, though, and I'm a huge fan of the practice now.
But in veg, its all good!

Re: HMG's Hempy Grow 2011 Blue Cheese, Herijuana Jack 33

I like the X factor and then lst. seems like a good way to fill the container. Thinks I'll try that next time around.

I really like the way they are turning out. I might try it again with just one plant in a 5 gallon container and fill the tent that way, and see what happens.
