Ah! Those photos certainly bring back fond memories for me!
Your plants are looking great except I do agree with you about the color! A healthy normal BC plant is MEDIUM-DARK green so, it does look like they need something they are not getting right now. Wht are you feeding them currently? FF Grow Big? It is only 6-4-4, so the BC color is most likely the result of low Nitrogen. I would suggest bumping up the amount of Nitrogen in their feeding schedule for a bit and see if you see any improvement.
When I first got my original Purple Urkle clones, they started getting light green like this too. What I did was give them a couple of feedings of Miracle Grow BLUE which is packed with Nitrogen and within 4 days they were both dark green and healthy looking. I normally don't use MG on my Cannabis, but after the success it brought during this one incident, I thought I should at least mention it. Your plants are larger than my Urkles were when I used the MG.
Totally up to you, but like I said, a healthy BC is MEDIUM-DARK green. Other than the color, they look like they are doing good for their age!
I'll look forward to seeing your next round of photos!
Looking good, i'll e following as we are close on t he schedule and Iam using Fox Farms like you with a side test of OC+ on 2 others. I am LST'ing mine, and am interested to see how they compare to topping
Too early brother, but you should start to see little bulbs (very tiny at first) right where you're looking, soon. I know you'll be able to see them because I can tell how hard you're looking lol!
Soon buddy soon!
Wait!!! Nope I was wrong! Definitely female bud! On this last pic^^ You can see two white hairs on the OPPOSITE side of where the picture was taken from! Sorry about that!
Congratulations!
Thanks for the congrats. Now if the BC shows female soon it will be time to .
I saw you used FF for nutes do you use any of the solubles? I'm wondering if it's really worth the $100+ for the three pack?
You know what, I haven't ever used their solubles, and I'm not sure I would with my set up. I'm not big on pumping my plants full of a lot of stuff. I currently use FF Grow Big for veg, along with a few other things like Superthrive, and molasses, and Great White(Michorrizae and trichoderma)
For flower I only use the FF Tigerbloom, Molasses, and some of my plants are getting SnowStorm ultra, as a test run.
I also suppliment occasionally with MagiCal (Cal/Mag) as needed. Although, with the FFOF soil, I haven't needed much of that.
My space is so small that I really try to keep it basic, with decent soil, and just the basic nutes. I feel that in a bigger environment, and the ability to flush more often, I may be inclined to use a few more additives. But until then, this is where I'm at.
Sorry to ramble, hope this helps.
I have a little space as well 32x32x63, so yes this helps a lot.
Please feel free to chime or ramble here all you want. I'm trying to learn as much as I can, and document it for myself and others.
Right on, thanks for that. Just remember though, these are just my thoughts, and I really am FAR from an expert on all this. I'm only on my second grow, and still learning myself. I try to use intuition as my guide. And although our art is somewhat of a "Soft Science", there are some things that are hard fact. I have yet to learn many of the facts. All I know at this point are the basics, and that if I keep it simple, I can grow cannabis! There are many different strains, and many different needs. I know my strain pretty well by now...Her basic needs, her basic threshholds and tolerences, but I still get what could be called less than "top shelf".
Its good, it works, but I still want more density, and smoother smoke(even though I tend to vaporize more often than smoke now). So these are the areas I focus on the most. For example, I would prefer to achieve my density through environmental manipulation, rather than through nutritional supplimentation; This means getting as many lumens to the plant, without burning them or causing heat stress...Whiiiiich mans learning to vent and cool and all that good stuff.
I also always use the lower end of the feeding recommendations. I believe this helps with keeping the roots free of excess salts, and preventing lock-ups. Also, with fewer nutes in the soil, its easier to flush toward the end of flower, which is supposed to help with taste.
So you get the idea. For me it's a matter of trying to figure out what the plants NEED, and what they "like", and finding a happy medium somewhere therein, without pushing them too hard. It is my beliefe that if we stress over the plants, the plants inturn will BE stressed.
Ok, now you got me rambling for real!
My advice to anyone who is new at this, is to start simple, and try different things in moderation. There's always next grow, better safe than sorry!

This is my third grow first from seed. I am starting to feel a little more confident in being able to understand what is going on.
IMO I think that a well dried and cured bud is the key to taste. If someone went crazy trying to push the plant to its limits, then a flush to get rid of the excess salts and build ups that may cause a harsh smoke would be more necessary.
