Herbies Desserts to Sweeten Your Day @ Otters

Congrats on getting through your harvest season! :bravo:

I'll say it again. I'm topping next season. Every year I mean to and never do. I'm hoping too next though! It'll probably;y improve everything. :)
I'm a firm believer in topping and training outdoor plants. It really keeps them manageable, and in my opinion, improves the quality of the buds. Also, I don't have to climb a ladder any longer.
Next year I'll go back to bt I think.
BT for the win! I've had really good luck with BT... as long as I spray at least once per week, and only mix up what I can use that day.
The better you delarf, the bigger buds make you smile more!!
I 100% agree, Bode! And easier trimming on harvest day. #nolarfclub
I brought a new tool in, a bowl trimmer. It's a bud hacker and I'll use it for big projects and time crunches like the need for the tent starting tomorrow. Anyway, Using the trimmer was a big deal and it saved me hours on end and my sanity! It did a reasonable job trimming, not a hand trim in any way though.
The bowl trimmer is a "game changer" for sure!
I'm glad to have had dense bud for my first run through the trimmer! These Betty buds are 30 to 40% less dense and I'm a little nervous about that.
Yeah, it definitely works better on denser buds, and smaller buds. I still hand trim the larger top colas.
Have you got a source for the Bowl Trimmer? Is it called "bud hacker"? I'm not finding anything on it, and am interested.
NICE HAUL!
I made a video demonstrating how it works a few seasons ago. Here's the link, if you're interested.

All the above please!? Makes a lot of sense Beez!

Noted and noted! thanks!

I love it and hate it Beez. It really helps with the killer work! I just need to accept the not so hand manicured look. That said, a couple of casual hours with a bowl trimmer saves days of tedious work and spirit testing! Huge game changer! It stays! Those buds in your video were some fatties! I haven't tried wet trimming yet, I'm looking to .
WOW You still got a lot that last of the AB and filled out good too , Ur bud has got it going on over there bananas looks NICE !
Hehe, hey Smokes! Betty grew some bud for sure! I did some hand trimming and the really ripe ones came out purple!
He's really growing gangbusters in there...talk about progress! :welldone:
This is a great grow for him! He says the buds on these Purple Ghost Candy are the biggest he's grown! He's happy!

Plants are looking great!! They really like that trippy Mylar

It's different in there alright! I'm like a bull in a china shop and usually knock off a hunk on him. He manages ok though.

WOOHOO! GOT MY HOLES AMENDED!

Yeah baby! Hi everyone! Got both summer yard holed dug out, enlarged a tad and amended to the new Rev recipe! I'm so happy with how these two came out that I'm continuing the quest to grow for high brix in the yard! I think these two plants are the tastiest yet from the yard among other things! One being the healthiest plants too!

So I got all the soil out of their holes. These are down to giant stones or maybe bedrock. About 16 x 24 inches.

Then I mixed Rev's amend into the soil in my little dump wagon.

Now Mother Nature can have all fall, winter, and spring to cook it to perfection!

Apple Betty and I. She's a real moose hoof!

Highya SO,

Gorgeous root ball you have there!! Did it come out easy? I usually leave stalks in the garden to break down roots in the soil. In the spring, they'll knock over easily, and come out with a couple inches below soil. But then I don't amend my soil either, just add things to the top. Big Betty must've had a nice root system to support all that biomass!

I'm finding this year that most plants harvested this year need the 3 (more or less) months of cure, then check again for potency. I took my last one down Thursday last. She was so heavy. Drying now. What a great growing year!!

I hope you and yours have a nice week coming and Happy Smokin'

What, no backhoe? :laughtwo:

The Rev's mix in an outdoor in-ground plant? Almost seems unfair. :green_heart:
Let's hope Azi! These beds were needing some love after 3 seasons of none! I'm hoping my water with between 400 and 600 ppm's will be ok. Maybe that low ppm rule can be for small containers.

Thanks Bode! It was massive! I had to use a rotating pronged tool to break up layers of roots before it would consider letting me remove it! Looking in the hole I could see there were thousands of horizontal roots going through and just under the lawn down to about a foot or where my topsoil met clay. Apple Betty was most impressive! I broke them all up and left them in for composting.

We really did have a super year! That beginning gave them time to make a nice frame and it stayed good all the way to a few days ago when frost got us here. What plant lasted to Thursday last?

Highya SO,

I had a gorgeous Super Silver Haze that lasted until Thursday! She went through days of frost, but the sun would always come out. I'm hoping for another 2 pounder! Few more days, and I'll know! Happy Smokin'

That's a wonderful score of Super Silver Haze! Most of us might not attempt a long runner like that Bode! You did great to finish so well! :yahoo:

WOW the soil did pretty darn good considering its not been nothing done to it in 2 yrs. , next year should bee really good / great . I know that makes you feel good to get done with that part of the grow !
Damn Bode 2 big ones off one plant sounds like you had a Great grow season !
It is a good feeling Smokes! Done and move on to the next thing! I think Geoflora carried them well in spite of my low energy flowerbedside manner.

APPLE BETTY FINALLY TRIMMED AND BUCKED

Hello everyone! Good day to ya! Apple Betty has been on my mind and in my hands every day for a while! Been trimming away and finished yesterday! Am I glad!

The end weight is 3.1 lb's and it's another one that tastes much better than the one I grew in the SIP earlier.

All hand trimmed as this bud is light density and goes through the trimmer into dust. Shoulda ran it through wet if I wanted to use the machine!

Anyway...here's Betty! She's awesome and will be some nice hash if I'm lucky soon!

Betty was a fun grow!

I'm looking forward to cleaning everything up down there and starting the new brood!

Hope your day is the best!
