Hempy Headquarters

Reducing the number of plants will certainly help with the humidity. Is there a reason that you can’t run the exhaust during lights out? Does it get too cool?
:passitleft:
The reason the exhaust doesn't run with lights off, is because it is to cool. I have the exhaust on a temp sensor and it comes on to regulate the heat. The winter temps keep the inside tent temperature under the setting. I do have a humidity sensor still in the box and could set that up at some point. Ideally I could control the exhaust fan that way but than the temps would be on there own.

I do have a lot of cool things for environmental controls

I even have the equipment( AC,Dehumidifier, and humidifier). I will at some point get to where I can implement those tools. It's hard for me to commit since I want to up the square footage before I go all out and start bolting everything down.

The tent set up is far from perfect but it does fill the jars with quality smoke.

I use a bit less than 1 tsp per gallon give or take. I’ve been trying to keep it light.

Hmmm....
Per Greenleaf.....
"1 US Teaspoon (4.9ml) = 6 grams MEGA CROP"
I wonder why I'm significantly higher? Worries me. Plants are almost saying "More!" and I was thinking of trying 12g/gal or 2tsp/gal.
Maybe my size. My bloomers are mostly around the 5ft mark... some crazy strains taller. 5gal pots.

I’m growing my biggest Carnival at the moment and feeding her just a bit more than half the RX Green nutrient levels I used to do. This one looks much happier.

The DDAs are showing appreciation for my adherence to the “less is more” mantra this round.

Maybe I’m finally catching on. This is my best grow to date, IMO. That Carn has another three weeks to go, minimum, and she’s looking in excess of 4 oz. The DDAs are thriving. It could be the Brix effect. They’re afraid to not grow big in his presence. Lol!

I've been messing around with feeding ratios of Mega-Crop and Maxibloom together.

Started with 1/4tsp MC:1/2tsp MB. The health of my NL and NLxDDA improved drastically. So I fudged around with equal 1/2tsp of each. Everybody is still healthy but my tips got burnt a bit. Today I mixed up a batch at 1:1 1/4tsp of each. See how they look tomorrow afternoon. Moral of the story is, I absolutely love how fast and simple adjustments to the hempy style are regardless of which nutrients one chooses to use.

Hempy got even more simple for me with the purchase of a shopvac. Thank you, I think it was @Tead , for telling (or mentioning to) me a long time ago that using a little electric pump to empty my drain trays was a bad idea.

I water 2x daily with probably 25% runoff. I know it might be a waste but the ladies seem to like it that way. This is also why I use less than prescribed nutrition, they always have fresh food. For now I drain to waste but this summer I will be able to feed my vegetables with it.

Ya gotta love the adaptability, eh? :high-five:

I’ll be using RO water, so no matter where I go it’ll need Cal/Mg adjustments, which Brix and I have decided will be achieved by adding Epsom salt.

I’m starting to warm up to Mega Crop. Simplicity.....yeah, I could use me some more of that.

Better find a source of calcium. Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate.

Mine are in 2gal and 3.5gal pots so not a HUGE difference. I’ve read about others using 10g/gallon so you’re not alone. I’ve got four strains going and I think some coild take more nutes but as long as they’re looking healthy I’m sticking with ~1tsp.

I’m very happy with the new formula in that it doesn’t need CalMag and seems to be out performing the old formula in flowering (a totally subjective observation). I wish I didn’t have 20lbs of the old forumla still.

So is there a feed schedule for mega crop 2.0

Got me a 750g bag ta test, may start a few Hempy on it, or all of them...lol

Website is kinda goofy, may need to jump on the computer to find something to print

I know just how you feel about the 20lbs of leftover Mega Crop. They sold me a 21.7lb? bag less then a week before they released their brand new formula. And they never said a word or suggested I wait a week and get the new 2.0 version. The old 1.0 version works just fine till about 4 weeks into flowering at which point deficiencies start to show up. So at about 3 weeks in I start to add a flowering supplement and all is good. I probably have enough of the Foxfarm granular flowering supplement to last till I get rid of the Mega Crop 1.0 that isn't a "Stand Alone" product as they advertised it to be. But it does a fantastic job as I said a good ways into flowering.

The sample bag got me thru 1 plant with a touch leftover

Mine are almost ready for flower

Probably won't do all, that 10 I think...lol

But may do a couple of the twin plants so I can compare the results

How long can you hold premixed MC around?

I currently use an organic veg nute, so there is practically no hold time. It will start growing in my gallon jug fairly quickly. Once it’s in the pots, I don’t worry so much because that’s the bacteria and fungi I want to grow, and my plants take it up fairly quickly - I feed about every two to three days.

The clones are 43" floor to tops. The 2lt pop bottle can grow huge plants.

Did you have them on a flowering light schedule as soon as they rooted, or was there some period of vegetative growth in the two-liter bottles? If the latter, how many days and how tall were they when you switched them to a flowering schedule?

I've only been growing for a year and decided it was time to learn how to clone. So I did. I cut the clones and flipped the donors. That was where I ran into a little problem called long flowering plants. Went 10 weeks. Normal but my clones in veg where 38" tall before they where flipped. They where also in the box with two autos so the light schedule was 20/4.
So 38" (includes 2lt soda bottle) at flip with 10 week veg.

This is my little hempy experiment using Jacks bloom, cm+ and silica.

I want my next run, which should start in a week, to use Jack’s but I’m a bit nervous since Hempy will be a new growing style for me with nutes that look to be working but weren’t exactly meant for the medium.

I’ve searched and can’t really find anything on point using regular Jacks with hempy.

Maybe looking for advice as to what to look out for, others experience or someone to tell me to just go for it.

Been using Happy Frog, which I love, but after 2 months of veg there can’t be much more in that dirt than perlite.
