Hello Everybody From Northern Minnesota

Morning all, my girls are short and fat. Does this mean I need to raise up the light?
This is a six inch pot.

Almost forgot, lower humidity and heat temperature because I spent almost two days installing new duct, fans, vented out chimney and moved tent. Looking like it may have paid off.

Looks Indica leaning which typically are shorter and bushier in stature. So probably not related to light at this point. Looks just like my blue dreams and how they started. An explosion of growth right in the middle is coming soon. What are your plans as far as topping/training.

With guidance, I would like to do some kind of training. I'm not sure the SCROG net thing is right for my limited access in my small tent with three plants. I'm willing to put in the time and effort doing some kind of training to keep the girls all at a even level and getting the best light.
Any advice?

Please keep in mind that they will be in three 7-1/2 gallon cloth pots.
I'll check back in about 4 hours or so. It finally stopped raining and the grass has grown 9" in 6 days.

What I do is wait for the growth at the 5th node to start and then I pinch off everything just above the 4th node. Then I wait for a couple days before I do anything else to them. Some top later than that. So don’t think of that as the standard. I’m trying my best to follow the quadline method I sent you the link to. For that method I remove the branches at the first and second node a few days after topping. That leaves only branches at 3rd and 4th node remaining. Then from there you train just those branches to grow horizontally the best you can. The idea being to get training similar to a scrog without the use of a screen. You can see from some of my more recent update pics how flat the canopy is on top and how short they have stayed. I do wish I had a little more vertical growth than I have. If you don’t do the scrog you will probably want to do some kind of LST training.

Thank you Mr Mango for taking the time and sharing some or you knowledge with me.
I need to do everything that you said about but I'd like to incorporate it with Katins idea.
White Widow Fem - Inside 2 Cubic Feet - Soil Under LED
This may be over my head, but I sure would like to give it a look.
Am I allowed to post one of his photos here if I give credit to grower? Or do I ask first?
I sure don't want to offend anyone or break any rules.
The reason I'm attracted to this grow is because it's the same thing I have and it's in a smaller space kinda like me. Katins used one plant inside a 2' sq. foot box, my tent is larger but I have three plants to fit in.
One thing for sure next time I'm only going to grow two plants in this tent.

I’ll just check out that journal so u don’t have to worry about posting a pic here. My tent is 2x4 and I may try 3-4 plants next round so we will be in the same boat then. 2 plants per 2x2 area.

Thank you Mr Magoo for checking this out. Like I said, that technique (LST) maybe way over my head at this time, but I sure would like to learn.
If not this time, sometime. Have a very green day MrMagoo and thanks again.

Hi John, I have the WW as well and find they are very bushy, tight leaves. Mine were planted on 6/01 and just now am I noticing some height growth. I think come week 5-6 you'll see them start to grow upwards.

More knowledge always works for me. I am going to try a SCROG setup myself since I have the room. Anytime you try something for the first time there's always doubt whether you will succeed or not. When I had 5 nodes and had to top to the third, I was so scared I was going to kill the girls. But why would I be the first they died on? Others do it all the time, so no worries, right?
On youtube there's more good info. Try searching for indica Institute for some great animated videos, basically everything you have learned here so far but simplified. Great tutorials from seed to cure.

Thank you Mr Sauga for the kind words of wisdom. :yahoo:

Update:
On 7-4-18 my gut feeling told me to check out the bottoms of all three girls.
I could see roots ai the bottom of the pots. The other gut feeling told me to get one 7-1/2 cloth pots ready for a emergency transplant even though my Great White wasn't going to be here until 7-11-18.
After very carefully taking pot off I saw roots on all sides. I didn't take the time to take a photo because I wanted it in the new soil right away.
So, if the runt has roots growing out the side and the bottom the two bigger girls have the same thing. All three girls wanted out of the 6" pot into freedom.
Today I just took this photo at 0800 hrs. Looking like they might survive my clumsy transplant. Please send good vibes of health to the girls.

YouTube? I didn't know that YouTube had grass tutorials. Hey thanks for the additional information.
This is the reason I would like to try LST first. Because of my back and neck are fused together, my motion is very limited. With the net method, I would have to bend somehow all the way to the back without breaking anything or falling over. With the individual LST method I can (for awhile anyway) take each girl out and work on her. I hope it works out that way.
Next time only two girls at a time and I will definitely try the net method.
I hope that makes sense to you all.
Thank you again Mr Sauga.

I would start bringing the lights up a bit now. What was the distance recommended the the manufacturer again? They look like the growth is going well. I brought mine up to 24" now and by the end of the weekend I will be around 30". I have dense leaves and good size trunks starting so it's time to go up for me.
