Heirloom's A Little Bit Of Everything - 2016 Journal

 hundreds of pages. No no, I'm not that popular, which suits me fine. I don't fit neatly into a category or style of grow, so I don't have a built in following from that. This whole year might end up less than 150.

Thank you for stopping in. Hope I put on an interesting enough show.

Jeez m geez, I read three pages and was taken all over the world. It's great!

I put some links to CS info, and some threads on making seeds if you are interested in checking them out for info on my journal. :)

James, I love reading your posts. Yes, I have to fight my way through the script packed together as it is, but you make the journey so worth it. :laughtwo: What fabulous plants. Ahhhh.... For the luxury of outdoor growing, as it's meant to be. I have a little bit of cannabis forest in the corner of my living room and dream of monster plants under sol systems, as Conradino so delightfully refers to it.

Thanks for the pictures.

Heirloom..... :yahoo: :yahoo: :slide: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Hozona ..... :hugs:  Yeah.... That was special. :hugs:

Thanks James for the awesome journey! I've never seen plants like that in person but you made me feel like I was right there with you and your friends.

Hozana, so good of you to propagate and share BIDs genetics. I'm sure he's smiling down on you from heaven.

Heirloom, what are you going to grow first my friend?

PS: People don't flock to your journal because of growing style but because of your open mindedness and cool style brother. The only style that matters is the one you're using today. If you're like me it will change tomorrow lol!

When I crack HYBID and P-ROC, I will probably do them together. This will be after I have established a working STS routine because I would like to S1 the females, and maybe do a select individual bud or two that's a cross between the two. And I will not take chances with those beans until I am comfortable with STS use. Also, I think I'm going to have enough pollen flying this season. They may wait until fall and be an indoor project.

Thank you for the kind words drcannabi!

Look after those beans man, good stuff...

@JamesTheGreen:

What can I say except "Holy Chit!" Helluva beautiful garden!! One could only dream of a Cannabis forest like that around here in the cold north. The window of opportune growing time would just not work for trees like that, I fear. I am truly envious!

Good for you on getting the paid workers to actually work, in that kind of work environment (what you're working with) I would think it would be tough to get people who are actually committed to getting the job done. Some people just don't understand why an employer is paying them. LOL

Having said that about our climate, you did give me even more inspiration to give another go at an outside grow this year. I have a new area picked out and I really would love to see at least one "Tree" such as the likes of yours and Grizzwald's.

How many hours of direct sunlight is the average for you there per day?

:thanks:

I've used this website more than once for various info. Drill down to find a location nearest you (or where ever) and feast on the valuable info. Tip, once you drill down and select a location, you will be on a page that has a bunch of graphs and data. Under each data set is a 'change preferences' link. Use it and set up the info as you like. 12hr or 24hr time. Months listed as abbreviations or numbers. Temp in F or C etc.

If anyone needs help reading the 'Sun Path Diagram', feel free to PM me. Enjoy.

EDIT: Don't use the 'find nearest location' feature. It frequently is not close. Instead click on the map and you will figure it out.

Small, quick update this week.

I potted up a Fruit Punch and all the Blue Dream clones. If the STS doesn't kick the pollen makers into gear, then I have to enact plan B. Start again with two plants of each and STS one each.

The Fast and Vasts have been demoted to #1 plastic pots and are basically on their own outside at this point. I'm not gonna fret over them. So say bye bye to Fast/Vast. My last ditch effort was to dose them with Earth Juice microblast hoping to correct an issue. If anything comes of them I will show ya'll.

This is what's up in the shop right now.

The Dark Devils are hitting their stride. One is making alternating nodes (left one, #7 pot), so I think I am going to spray STS on that one this evening, and leave the other as the target/seed host. Here we go!

And to wrap this up, the newborns. The Super Lemon Haze P2 was started the same time as the rest, with the exception of Tangerine Dream P2. TD-P2 was a replacement seed for a bunk one. TD-P2 is 3 or 4 days behind the others, but kicking SLH-P2's butt. I expected to have issues with the Green House seeds. I always do. They are the primary driving force behind me starting to work with seeds. Tired of the crappy, under developed, rushed to sale seeds.

Anyhow, this afternoon the SLH-P2 is looking up, so hopefully it takes off.

Thanks DrC! I feel BID's presence with me every day :circle-of-love:You are right about JTG also! He didn't grow plants, he grew TREES  Isn't it funny how us "Mad Scientist" types gravitate towards each other!:cheesygrinsmiley:

I'm sure he will after the post office smashed the hell out of the first ones.

That's what I said too!!!

BeeYOUteeFUL beans Heirloom!

I think my last frost prediction is around the same time, I need to check the Farmers' Almanac yet.
We have fantastic weather this weekend upper 70's. I couldn't be happier to finally get outside. I feel like that poor guy in the grilling burger commercial coming out of his house delirious from a long winter.....asking "Where am I?"

:circle-of-love:

I need to check out your Fast N Vast.....I'm not real excited about mine either.

Canna,

Were your F&V beans freebies? Mine were.

Hmmm....how to answer that.......yeah they were freebies, but not from a sponsor/supplier. LOL
Probably were freebies from that sources' seed house originally though.

I really had higher hopes for those, they were hyped up pretty good. Still haven't look for yours yet. Gangly and stretchy? I even topped them, still didn't do a bunch for them. I had awesome success on the topping with the Durban Poison.

You got to top yours? Lucky. Don't even bother looking for them. Not worth it. Seriously. Nothing to see here. Move along.

One is about 4 1/2" tall and looks like a perfect miniature plant, with tiny 5 finger leaves.....with a problem that looks iron-esque. The other is not much bigger and could have legitimately not liked the dirt it was in, though I have other plants in the same doing fine. I've potted it down and sprayed it with STS just to see if the mix burned it (did not). But the re-pot was rough on it.

I don't like blaming anyone but myself, usually. But man, 0 for 2 on the F&V. Last '0-fer' I had was with Green House beans about 3 years ago. That was a HUGE swing and a miss. Hence my grudge.

FWIW Herbies made it right 3 years ago, though they didn't have to. Thank you Herbies.
