Heirloom's A Little Bit Of Everything - 2016 Journal

I feel I've missed something's... What's going on here, how many pages back to catch up or another thread...

They're just one page back on this Grizz. Those heads just got together like two semis crashing into each other. I think we have some interesting times ahead.

Gentlemen, I'm excited about the potential here. I agree, there's too much trash about this out there. Time to refine the process and set some decent protocols. How lucky for us that you two found each other with this shared passion. :thumb:

Welcome to horticulture at the speed of Heirloom, lol.

Shigg and I are talking about Silver Thiosulfate Solution (STS), primarily. My failed CS has nothing to do with method, but everything to do with product selection. So after spraying 3 plants everyday for something like 40 days, I was more than ready to move on to an easier solution. STS. You apply it generally twice. The two methods are really cousins, as they both rely on ethylene blocking by silver to promote staminate flowers (AKA pollen sacks).

Awe, well that's very nice of you.

Be prepared for the 'protocol' to not be neat and tidy, potentially. This could come down to finding that magic mix for each different strain, IDK yet. It could be sorta like asking for a soil or fertilizer recipe, (insert your Deity) forbid!

:thanks:

Hiya Pinky! Welcome!

James,
When my wife passed I was, and still am in some ways, devastated. I didn't know what to do next. I sat in the house, basically comatose for a few weeks.

Then one day I was listening to my favorite band, Rush. The drummer, a decade before, lost his daughter to a car accident and within a year his wife to cancer. All band operations ceased (for several years) and he took an extended motorcycle trip.

A song that was written after his tragedy struck me.

Two weeks later I had all home affairs taken care of and covered, and I left on a new motorcycle and just rode. No particular direction other than away. Ultimately, like the drummer, the healing was all around me. The timeless landscapes and endless two lane roads. The solitude.

9 months and 100k miles later I returned home. Nothing was the same, obviously, but I had come to grips with the loss and could maybe think about possibly going back to work.

We are here for you James. It's not warm and cuddly, but we do care for you. Wish there was more one could do for people facing this.

:circle-of-love:

Neil Peart is arguably the best drummer...ever. My wife, not a huge Rush fan. Don't listen to them as often as I used to. :) :circle-of-love::peace:

Yeah Sue, Karma Can Be A Mother F,cker Sometimes, Problem With Karma, You Never Know When It Will Hit, It Chooses It's Own Time And Place, And Most Times We Are NOT There To See The Karma Taking Place To Them In Real Time, We Usually Hear About It Afterwards, I Do Not Like To Wish Ill on People, But I Certainly Believe That Karma Does, If That Person Has Done Something To Hurt Another, Or The Animals And Plants. There Was A Guy Up Here A Few Years Ago, That Was Setting Forest Fires, As He Was A Fireman, And Needed The Pay. This Went On For A Long Time, Them Not Being Able To Catch Him, But Finally, He Did His Do, And The Pictures That Were Captured On The Trail Cam That Caught It ALL, Sent Him To Jail And Revoked His Firemans Status, STUPID, I Mean, He Already Had A Good Job, Why Mess It Up, To Just Get Extra Pay, Overtime, Hazard, Sick Pay, And The Incredible Amount Of Hours These Men Put In To Contain The Fires. For Money, This Man Put His Brother Firefighters In Danger, And His Self As Well, It Boggles The Mind!!! But Thanks Sue, I Liken Karma To An Old Grandmother, When You Are Pleasing Her And Doing What You Are Supposed To Do, She Rewards You, With Pies Or Cakes, Or Just Old Learned Wisdom, If You Piss Her Off, Well Many Bad Things Can Happen, Even Death, This Guy Was Lucky No One Died, Or He Would Have Been Given Murder Charges As Well, KARMA Such A Beautiful, Scary Word It Is!!! Thank You, Commander Of The 420 Knights Watch, JamesTheGreen.:thumb:

I like the way you put that James " a beautiful, scary word". One worth our respect. The Law of Attraction is entirely controlled by your actions. Put out what you want coming back and the universe is a generous place. That's assuming your putting out loving and generous thoughts and actions, mind you. :laughtwo:

No offence is intended, these are just more thoughts from reading....
karma is good on a surface level, but where's the karma for epileptic babies, dementia suffers, ptsd suffers, rape victims, why somes karma enough punishment to last others five lifetimes... In death who's karma dealing the good and bad hand to, life or death? The phrase karmas a bitch, is that wishing or accepting punishment shall come. Try wishing the one that's wronged you no harm or consequence for their actions, see if that keeps karma away...

Thank you Grizz, no offense taken. The fine art of forgiveness. A lifetime of practice and I still need lessons. It seems to be a reaccuring theme.

Unachievable idea, we are to greedy and love ourselves too much..

Oh sugar, I'm talking about humans not you sue :rofl:

Mighty perceptive of you Grizz. :laughtwo:

Not Sure Anyone Noticed, But You Can Effect A Sex-Change Without Using Colloidal Silver Or Anything Else, Just The Lack Of Light, Since Most People Grow Indoors, I Will Give You The Indoor Chemical Free Method, Cut Your Light Ratio Down To 9-10 Hours A Day, Make Sure You Only Keep The Females That You Wish To Turn Male, I Would Recommend One Or Two Of You Nicest Female Plants(NOT THE VERY BEST HEALTHIEST ONES), But At Least The Third To Fourth Healthiest Ones. Pick A Couple From Each Strain You Are Growing That You Wish To Sex Change To Males, Then Cut The Hours Back On These Particular Plants To The Above Stated Hours, Sometimes You Can Only Cut Back To 10-10.5 Hour, But For A More Rapid Change, Especially On Late Harvesting Plants, 9-9.5 Is Best. For Your Strains That Become Ready To Harvest(EARLY OUTSIDE ANYWAYS) Switching To 10-10.5 Hours Should Be Sufficient To Get Them To Begin Their Sex Change. Remember, REAL KUSHES(NOT THE OG, OR TAHOE) Or Whatever The Seed Companies Named Them, As These Are Generally Not REAL Kushes, Kush Is Just A Great Marketing Name, The DNA Owners Of The OG Kush Have Even Admitted As Much, As Original OG Kush Is A Oaxacan X Whatever The Bag Seed Was That They Got A Few Priceless Seeds From At A Deadhead Show From A Bag They Scored There. They Grew These Out, And Crossed It With The Oaxacan, I Am Not Sure What The Name They Gave To The Bagseed They Gleamed These Wonderful Seeds From, Or Even If They Did. Although It Would Stand To REASON, That They Kept The Genetics From This Still Growing, As It Was Most Likely Kick Ass As Well. If I Am Wrong About The Company. I Am Not Wrong About The Story. The Owners Of I Am Pretty Sure, DNA, Once Again, Even Admitted This. If You Wish To Turn Your Outdoor Plants Into Plants That Yield Mature Male Flowers, Keep The Last 4 Branches On The Plants You Have Chosen, Un Cut On, And Reduce Their Light Cycle Either By Letting The Season Turn From Fall To Winter, Keep Them Healthy And Do Not Over Water, Nor Do You Need To Fertilize Anylonger, Just Make Sure They Retain Their Health. If You Are Growing Outside In An Area That Progressively Gets Colder As The Seasons March On, And You Start Getting Frost(ALTHOUGH POPULAR IN MAINSTREAM HERB MAGS, MEDICINE CAN SURVIVE BEING FROSTED, AS LONG AS DURING THE DAY THEY CAN WARM UP AGAIN, LIKE WHERE I LIVE, MENDOCINO COUNTY, THERE ARE MICRO-CLIMATES ALL OVER THE COUNTY, I HAPPEN TO LIVE IN ONE MYSELF, SOME MICRO-CLIMATES ALLOW DOING THIS AS THEY CAN STAY WARM ENOUGH TO EFFECT THE CHANGE TO FEMALES TO MALES, OR AT LEAST ENOUGH MALE FLOWERS WILL APPEAR TO MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE!!! If You Can, Move Them Into A Light Dep Chamber. "YOU CAN MAKE THE CHANGE HAPPEN SOONER, SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT KEEPING THEM WARM, WITH HEATERS AND SUCH.) Just Choose The Ones You Wish To Change To Males, And In August, Or For Early Bloomers, The End Of July, When They Start To Flower Dep Chamber Them. I Know Many Would Like To Wait Until They Have Harvested The Best Tops And Middle Buds Off Of These Plants To Dep Them, But That Means The Middle Of September, To The First Week In October After Harvesting, And Depending On Where You Live, You May Not Have That Time, Mother Nature You Know,LOL, Which May Not Lend It's Self Useful To The Amount Of Time Said Plants Need To Put Out Male Flowers, It Gets Too Cold, Unless You Have A Heating System, And If You Use Small Electric Heaters That Can Be Plugged Into A Extension Cord, Be Prepared For That F.king Electric Bill, To Jump From Like Say $85.00 Dollars A Month, To As Much As $300.00 Dollars A Month, That Is Why I Believe The Earlier You Start The Better, Even If The Plant Has Not Been Harvested, You Will Just End Up With Pollen That Will Strictly Make Female Plants, Plus The Buds That Had Started Developing On These Early Bloomers, Will Become Inundated With Seeds From The Male Flowers On The Plants, I Have Never Had A Hermie Result From These Seeds, But With Our Medicine, Anything Can Happen. I Would Say That Doing This Indoors Is The Really Better Way To Go, But Outside It Can Be Done, But With A Lot More Thought And Work. Plus Seasonal Shifts In Weather If You Do Not Start Light Depping Them By The Month Of August. My Late Bloomers(USUALLY SATIVAS, OR HYBRIDS THAT ARE SATIVA DOMINANT, ALONG WITH CERTAIN AFRICAN HERBS AS WELL, WHICH ARE OF COURSE SATIVAS), African Strains Can Also Flower Early As Well Though, (DURBAN POISON, MALAWI, RED BEARD) To Name A Few. So Guys And Gals, I Know That We Are All Pretty Nerdy When It Comes To Growing(NERDY BEING A COMPLIMENT), And Want Everything To Work Out Just So, But Anyone That Has REALLY Grow Herb For Any Length Of Time Can Tell You, That Accidents ALWAYS Invariably Happen. Lucky For Us The Cannabis Plant Is Such A Survivor, You Can Almost Do Anything To Them(WITHIN REASON, NO THROWING GASOLINE OR SALT OR ACID INTO THE SOIL, OR MISTING THEM WITH SUCH FOR FOLIAR FEEDING, THESE ARE EXTREME EXAMPLES, I AM JUST TRYING TO GET YOU TO HEAR ME!!!), Side Branches, Especially Outdoors On Plants The Size Of Trees, Can Brake Off, And No Attempt Should Be Made To Save Them, As They Are Usually Lower Branches Anyways, And Sometimes, Especially If You Notice A Drooping Limb, You Can Go To It, And By Just Barely Touching It And Giving It A Slight(VERY SLIGHT IN MY EYES, WILL REMOVE THEMSELVES FROM THE BASE OF THE MAIN STALK VERY EASILY, AS THE PLANT IS SELECTIVELY CHOOSING WHICH BRANCHES ARE NO LONGER NECESSARY FOR IT, AND A WASTE OF IT'S ENERGY.) Also If You Try To Save Branches In This Shape, Usually, Like 99.9% Of The Time, Will Not Be Able To Save It, And It Takes Energy That Could Be Used Elsewhere To Try And Fix This Dying(ALREADY DEAD) Limb, Remove It Already, And The Energy Will Go Someplace Else, Where It Is Needed More. I Am Going To Try To Post On This Thread Of Mine Some Pictures Of My Plants Grown Outdoors, Thank You, Commander Of The 420 Knights Watch, James The Green.P.S. If You Make Your Seeds In Spring Using Light Dep, It Is The Best Way, Since The Climate Is Gradually Getting Warmer, And This Shows It's Self In The Healthy Seeds You Manage To Propagate Because It Is Warming Up Outside.

I Am Only In A Few Picture, All People Pictured Are Over 21yrs In Age, And WE ALL HAVE Medical Cards And Doctors Scripts, Plus These Pictures Were Taken A Few Years Ago, I Have Maybe Doubled Up Some Of The Pictures, If So I Apologize, As I Had To Go Back And Forth From Pictures To What Picture Page Was Next, I Think I May Have Doubled Some Of The Pictures Up, But That Is Alright, It Was An Honest Mistake. Please ALL, Let Me Know What You Think Of My Strains, They Can In No Way Be Put In Order As To What Plants Are Being Pictured, But These Are The Plants I Pictured, Without Any Semblance Of Order: Heirloom Kush,Highland Kush, Mazari Shareef(THE REALLY TALL PLANTS, IN ONE OF THE PICTURES, I AM REACHING UPWARDS TOWARDS A MAZARI-SHAREEF PLANT, THAT IS STILL VERY YOUNG, AND PRE-BUD STAGE, BUT STILL TALL AND WIDE, AT MAYBE IN, MID JUNE??? The Other Strains Pictured Are Orange CrushXHog(THESE ARE IN THE PICTURES WHERE THE GIRL IS DRESSED IN GREEN, AND IT IS GETTING DARK OUTSIDE)Orange Krush,Red Romulan,DJ Shorts BlueberryXMazari-Shareef,Purple Dragon,And Aleeka, A Hawaiian Plant That Consists Of Being A Huge And Potent Bearer, That Is Mostly Indica Though. Commander Of The 420 Knights Watch, JamesTheGreen.

Nice.. Extra limbs must come in handy, especially when having to trim up those girls, lol..

You Got It, Grizzwald!!! It Takes, When Harvesting The Main Kolas(HELL THE WHOLE PLANT), Two People To Do The Harvesting, I Am The One In The Ladder Choosing What To Be Cut, And The Person Below The Ladder, Makes Sure That The Ladder Does Not Topple Over, As One Must Get Into Some Very Contorted Positions Sometimes To Make A Cut, Plus You Need Someone To Pass The Kolas Too, So They Can Be Gently Placed In The Container That We Keep Them In, Lightly Stacked, So As To Not Crush Them(WHICH BY THIS TIME IS HARD TO DO, AS THEY HAVE BECOME EXTREMELY HARD FROM BEING IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT FOR MANY HOURS EVERYDAY, GOOD SOIL, AMENDMENTS, AND FERTILIZERS PLUS PURE WATER, WE HAVE WELL WATER, THAT I DRINK ALL THE TIME, BECAUSE OF IT'S PURITY AND FLAVOR!!!), My Two Nephews When They Visit, Alas Their Last Visit Together Was Several Years Ago, In That Time, One(THE DOCTOR), Married A Beautiful Persian Woman(OUR COUNTRY CALLS THEM IRANIAN, BUT THEY CONSIDER THEMSELVES PERSIANS ONLY, SHE IS FROM THE PERSIAN ROYAL FAMILY, HER RELIGION IS AN OLD ONE, KNOWN AS ZOROASTRIANISM. They Have One Child(A GIRL), And Another On The Way, Also A Girl. In The Interim, My Other Nephew(THE GEOLOGIST) Has Had A Child With A Woman From His Work(BAD MOVE!!!), That Is A Boy, Named Kaden, In Honor Of Our Celtic Heritage. He Is No Dead Beat Dad(WE WOULD NOT LET HIM BE ANYWAYS IF HE WAS, PUNCH, SLAP, KICK, I HOPE YOU GET MY MEANING!!!), And Has Kaden Every Day Before And After Work, During The Week, And The Mother And Him Divide Up Weekends. It Is Kind Of Humorous, The Mother Pays Him Child Support, Which To Me Is Fair, Since My Nephew Has Him About 90% Of The Time. But Yes In Harvesting A Cannabis Tree, One Must Be Very Careful Not To Fall, That Is Why, Always, Two People Do This Together. Safety First Reason, Keeping The Herb From Being Harmed Or Crushed Down In The Weed Bin Second. We Always Remove The Large Kolas From The Plants First, Then The Secondary Kolas, And Finally The Third Stage Kolas(SMALLEST AND LEAST WEIGHT OR EXPOSURE TO SUNLIGHT), The Buds After The 3rd Trimming, We Usually Let Stay On The Plants, If I Am Trying For Male Flowers, Or Trying To Get Them To Increase In Size Over Time. I Have Had Buds That Were Harvested Off Of Plants, Once Removed, That Increased The Light Input To These Inner Buds, And Sometimes If I Deem It Worth It, Or Have Not Been Burned Out From The Harvesting I Will Re Fertilize(NOT USUALLY THOUGH), And Will Let Them Fill In, If Enough Time Is Left, I Have Harvested Especially Late Blooming Plants All The Ways Into November, Sativas Usually, Sometimes Hybrids. They Turn Either Purple Or The Color Of Tropical Punch Kool-Aid, And If They Happen To Be From Plants That I Harvested Earlier, The First Secondary And Some If Not Most Of The Third Buds, They Taste And Look Completely Different From The Herb I Got Off Of The Same Plants Just A Month Or So Prior, More Pronounced, And They Become More Sweet And Sour(HOW I KNOW NOT, BUT THEY DO!!!), Almost As If From A Different Strain Of Herb, But Not So. As Many People That You Can Get To Help You Harvest, If Family Or Close Friends(LIKE FAMILY), Get Them!!! Especially If Rain Is Imminent, And They Are Fully Ripe And Ready, At These Times We All Work Our Asses Of, Sometimes Pulling 24 Hours Or More Of Work. Because If Allowed To Get Wet, The Main And Secondary Kolas Will Mold, Matbe Not All Of Course, But Enough To Make A Significant Decrease In Your Harvested ,Cured And Hand Trimmed Herb. The Third Stage Buds, And Anything Smaller, Generally Do Not Mold, Even If Rained On, Too Small, And They Can Dry Out Easily, As They Are Not As Dense As The First And Secondary Kolas. So If You Trust Them, And They Wish To Help You Hatvest, Unless They Are Slow And Lazy, Show Up With Beer Or Whatever, And Think That This Is Some Grand Old Time, Harvesting, It Is Not, It Is A Grand Time, But Only Because You Are Moving Your Herbs Inside To Cure And Dry, Not Because It Is Freaking Party Time. These Type Of People I May Let Work Out The Whole Day, But Usually Because They Are Doing More Partying Than Working Properly(BECAUSE THERE IS A PROPER WAY TO DO IT ALL,HARVEST.) I Pay Them, And Tell Them That I Do Not Need Their Services Any Longer, This Has Cost Friendships, As They Say To Me, But You Said I Could Work For You The Entire Harvest, To This I Say, Well I said Work, Not Drinking Beer Or Whatever And Trying To Smoke As Much Finger Hash That You Can Gleam From Your Fingers And Scissors, Like I Said, This Is Work, And damn Serious Work, Thank You, And See Ya Around. But Quality Workers Are Worth Their Weight In Gold, If You Have Them, Keep Them Happy, Feed Them, (MOST PEOPLE LIKE PIZZA, SO FOR DINNER I'LL GET A VEGANISH PIZZA, AND A COMBO PIZZA, AND FOR ME, A EXTRA PEPPERONI, EXTRA CHEESE, AND COOKED WELL DONE PIZZA, I AM MAKING MYSELF HUNGRY!!! ALL IN THE XL SIZE, SO THERE IS PLENTY TO GO AROUND), Thank You, Commander Of The 420 Knights Watch, JamesTheGreen:thumb:!!!

Since I don't think I will be able pollinate the girls in tent #2, I've already decided to use those 16 little plants as trim training aids. I have two family members close enough who are capable and willing to help. They've just never done it. So I figured why not put an 'oops' in their hands first, rather than the main event.
