1982 I switched to CR 125, Sponsored by Mcbride Cycle, anyone remember that place?
Till 1986 I got a Bran New CR 250 , one of the first.
Was a fantastic bike.
That thing landed on top of me at full speed.
I actually remember hitting the ground and thinking that wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.
For a millisecond till it crushed me in half.
When I woke up I remember the sky looked like the cartoon from the Simpsons.
I couldn't move.
That was a rough one.

Those were pit bikes back then.
I had 11 Motorcycles one time.
Bought them and fixed em up.
I don't do anything half way.
Still have 2 in a storage container.
Not allowed to ride though.
But a few of my older ones would be collectibles now.
Practically gave them away.

Yz 450 F, that's what Eli Tomac won Anaheim 1 on last night.This was my bike. Not a picture of mine but same model.

I stripped an 84 XR 250, 4 stroke down and raced it for a bit.
Till I got offered a new 250 CR.
The Bone Crusher, hehe.

We installed Boysen 2 stage reeds, with an Answer boost bottle.@ 15 I got a RM250 used of course but it had a Reed valve and a Basani expansion chamber. It was so fast it scared the crap out of me at first. CL
Milled the head ported them , polished the cylinder.
Wisconsin pistons & rings.
Metzler tires, DIG chain, sidewinder sprockets.
Renthal bars, DIG grips.
I built Rockets.
Just couldn't hold onto the dam things.

There’s was a junkyard behind my Pops property in F.Branch,Ga. I traded it and some $$$ for a 55BelAir with a blown up 327. Rebuilt the motor with my Pops. Loved that car, wish I still had it. CLWish you had it now.

Plus GMAC financing at some ungodly rate. Insurance alone was 160 a month in 88.CL
I wish I would have but seeing everyone else driving new cars I just had to have it. CLFirst time I walked into a dealership they did the same thing to me, I didn't know.
