Heavenly Hybrid 2nd Grow: Blackberry Kush, Coco Grow, LED450

Have fun in the comparative!!!!!
You'll be growing along with some fantastic people.
Bilbo and Preston will treat you well.
Yes! I’m really looking forward to it, and I’m sure I will be learning a lot along the way! :high-five:

We all will!

Comparatives are awesome! So many different grow styles & results. I hope to see at least one hydro grow. Right now, there is Coco, Soil, and Hempy buckets. The hydro grow will be the icing on the cake.
There are LED's, HPS, Quantum Boards. So I'm expecting to see a serious array of results .

If that's lights out then it's fine. And a 10º drop between lights on and off is supposed to be a good thing.
I heard plants don't like any more than 15 degree swing between day and night. Any idea if that's true? I couldn't find anything(this is a while ago) on how a plant responds to larger swings. Maybe lower yields, stunted growth, or lockout as a protective thang.

I dunno, but Newty grew some monsters with a 25+ swing. They were established and strong, but still.

Well there you have it... mind you Newty could probably grow them outside in the Arctic :Rasta:

Actually I'm not sure if it was the roots or air temp. I'd imagine they would have been referring to air temps. Mine regularly went more than 15 as well which is why I looked it up in the first place. I never thought much of as it never affected anything for me.

I'm wondering if the limit on temperature swings assumes that the moisture level in the tent is constant, therefore your RH would shoot much higher if the temp drops more than 10º. (Colder air can hold less moisture so RH rises if the moisture level stays the same.)
I dunno, but I bet this is a project for farside ;)

Hey HH - all is fine in here. The split will heal up. One of mine did that recently too. I undid the ties to pull it back together and didnt pull them out as hard as they’d been when I redid them a few days later. It changed the shape of the plant from what I was aiming for but do prefer that outcome to a broken plant  I’ve seen it on many plants and they nearly always survive :thumb:

I have heard tell that a greater than 10º swing btw day and night encourages stretch :thumb:

First update - BBK
She’s healing up from the big split and seems to be evening out on top fairly well. Starting to show some little button buds. I’ll probably go in for a big defol in a week or so.

More updates to come, so stay tuned!

Next up is Mystery auto - day 55
She started showing pistils on the exact day her older surprise siblings (tall and short autos) did. I harvested tall and short autos at day 56 or 57 I think. This one will go a little bit longer, but she’ll probably be pretty close to harvest in a week or so.

At the very least, she looks like she’ll double what her sisters gave, but we shall wait and see!

And then there’s Sneaky B (formerly BBK #2) - day 55

I’d never guess these two seeds were sprouted on the same day. And they were supposed to be the same kind too. Different phenos? Who friggin knows at this point. Sneaky B is really being a pain in my butt. I just don’t know how to help her. Last night I gave her a good flush, followed with nute water. Hoping to see improvement, but she just stays droopy.

A couple pics from last night

Still more updates coming, so don’t go far.

Last update for right now
Bubblegum auto #2 - day 41

She was a little thirsty, so she has a little droop going on. But plugging along, starting to make her little buds. :)

And Jack Herer #2 - day 41
Both my JH’s are doing well. Nice little buds coming in. This is a good strain and I’m looking forward to the next time I grow this. It’ll be a while til that happens, but it’s gonna be good.

The only updates left from here are the BG #1 and JH #1. I’ll wait until after they have their naps to feed them. Don’t want the rh to get too crazy with lights out, so I’ll wait until later tonight for the last update.
Until then, Happy Gardening :ciao:

Is she sitting on the floor? If she is can you put a metal grate or something under her?
I've come across a few journals lately that the person was having problems with water retention in fabric pots. Some were using hydroton as a drainage base because of the standing water. Just something to check out.

Hey HH - nice recovery on the BBK :thumb::welldone:

I agree that Sneaky B looks like a wet feet issue. The other post-watered one does a little bit too.

I can’t remember if we talked about grates under the fabric pots in here before. I feel like we did and that you’re already doing that - but maybe I’m wrong.

Now they’re in flower they don’t want to be fully drying out like in veg, but they doo still seem a little waterlogged maybe. It’s hard to say tho’, without knowing exactly what they’ve had or actually being there - so I could be way off, of course. :Namaste:

She has a plastic trivet under her, with a small collection area for drainage. I did try using a grate underneath and I let her completely dry out the last two times I watered. She was light as a feather, so totally dried. Thanks for helping me troubleshoot, I hate watching her be sickly and not know what to try next. This all started as soon as I brought her down to the flowering tent. I thought maybe it could be cold shock, but it’s only about 5°F cooler, average.
Sneaky B always has me like :hmmmm:

Have you gotten any tip burning from nutes yet? She may just be itching for those nutes.
:meatballs:

That transition to flower can be finicky. I couldn't say for certain if that's the cure but I have seen some other plants around here that drooped for awhile until they got flower nutes dialed in.

I also have a "pothead's memory" and probably already read comments from 2-3 others, suggesting the same. :hmmmm:
Meh.... if I don't remember, did it really happen? LoL

End of my ramblings....

No tip burn with her yet. I did give her full bloom nutes after her flush last night, so maybe that will start to help? There really hasn’t been any leaf symptoms up until yesterday, when I noticed some splotches on a couple leaves and a tinge of yellowing on a couple of her lowers. I’ll keep up with the bloom nutes, and see if that helps.
