Heavenly Hybrid’s Hideout: Jump In Anytime

Yum! How is the Obama Kush?
I loooooove it. It’s super chill relaxing.

Thanks for the info on the soil GDB, I think they’re on the upswing. Not giving the concentrate a chance to get going was my huge, giant, terrible mistake. I’ve leaned so much with hindsight!
Happy New Year, HH, and congrats on the new light! :tommy:
Sorry to hear about your issues with the new soil mix. I'm curious what made you decide to change to the living soil concentrate. Your previous grows looked pretty darn good to me.
Thank you Beez! So I decided to change things up for a couple of reasons, but mostly because I wanted to try just watering for a little while. MC is great, but I was having some consistent little issues during bloom; but them changing the formula a few times made me nervous. And lastly, the grow I was following posted her lab results and the living soil gives higher THC and terpenes, so I though I’d give it a go! Unfortunately I didn’t give myself a great start at it, but hopefully we’re on the right track right now.

Hey Hh just popping in to say hi! I am of absolutely no help with your super soil grow, I’ve never done one myself but I can be your cheerleader:cheer: ( yeah I figured out where the emojis were hidden) Go ladies you can do it!! Turn yourselves around for Hh!

Lol, thanks N! I appreciate it and it’s so good to have you back again!!

• Florida og (dna genetics)
• blood orange sorbet (dna genetics)
• Blackberry Kush (420)
• gelato og (they who must not be named)
• critical purple kush (same as above)
• og kush (dope seeds)
• northern lights (sensi, or dope seeds)

I’m beginning to suspect that you pair of heavenly’s like the same kind of weed I do :laughtwo: that.... and as stoned as I currently am I came up with the “pair of heavenly’s” thing :laughtwo:

I’m gonna pop the Florida OG from DNA as well and OG Kush from Dope seeds in a few weeks too!! Peyote Gorilla and the peyote forum is on the list with purple OG and bubblicious from resin seeds.

Team up in a thread and do a comparative grow on the same strains perhaps?

I hope you are having a wonderful day HH! Aloha!

Aloha Sunny! And ooooo, that sure does tip the scales a bit for which seeds to pick!! Who doesn’t love a pair of heavenly’s!? :laughtwo::laughtwo:
:ciao: ... your instinct that you need to let them dry out before next inputs is a good one. Do that. :) Drying out will make the roots search and seek...
Excellent, I will go ahead and do that then. I was a little concerned that dying out might be bad for the heard, so thanks for clarifying. :thanks:

Some different perspectives on that, but letting them get good and dry to a pre-wilting point is fine, in my experience. Good even. When you water next it will (should) have a good and robust dose of tea and that will replenish and reinvigorate the micro life.

Hello grow buddies! I’m just going to jump straight to it today, I’ve got some new pictures of the Candida farm.

And little afghani. She took the abuse much better than the candidas, but she’s still pale.

They were feeling light enough that they were ready for a watering today, so I gave them all their second watering with some tea. Smells like straight up cow pie. :cough:

I’m hoping this will give them the extra boost they’ve needed. If things keep progressing they way they have been, I’m hoping I’ll be able to give them another top dressing and then flip... hopefully. Right now, it’s about finding the balance between letting them heal and not letting them get too big.

So that’s where we’re at in the hideout. I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe. :ciao:

Fresh cow pie or aged cow pie?

It's hard for me to see those poor Candidas suffer like that, so I'm glad you have the intestinal fortitude to carry on with the new system! I would have broken down the fed them by now.

Remember that an increase in LED lighting often means an increased need for cal-mag, so that might be part of the problem with the timing of the changeover.

Do you already have clones of the Candidas?

Fresh cow pie or aged cow pie?
Enquiring minds want to know!

You know, as an alternative to super-cropping, if they have alternating nodes you can just snip the leaders back. I remember a former member who used to do that a lot and grew wonderful flowers. It’s a way to manage size. And would probably improve the ratio btw roots and shoots.

Anyway, that’s actually not why I dropped by! just what popped in while reading above...

I came over to follow up on the Strawberry Cheesecake Auto convo. My friend grew it in supersoil under an HLG RSpec, said it went 3 weeks longer than I said it would and was pretty tatty at the end (nice enough buds they brought me though!). They were waiting for white pistil hairs to stop and they weren’t really. Also, my friend wasn’t able to check the trichs. Weather was hot so I suspected foxtailing from the descriptions -time to chop it. I consequently can’t really say what state of ripeness it was in. The buds have a nice plump structure and gently sweet gently funky aroma. Nice.

Toke-wise I really like the taste and it makes me think I ought to try some other cheeses. There was something familiar in a really good way - a ganja memory from times gone by, and a really good one.
:passitleft:

It was really relaxing and happy and also a lot in the body. Not too brain disturbing at all - which is just perfect sometimes. I would have to agree with what you said about it being a likely precursor to a nap ;) so maybe the effect of yours isn’t only because you let it get a bit amber. I can tell this could be pretty sedative. I’ll very likely grow it sometime soon to be honest.

Glad there is some recovery in the garden. Everything happens a bit more slowly when working with the microherd.
:meditate:

Looks like they are going in the right direction
Thank you, I sure hope so!!
:ciao: Hi HH! Girls are all looking much better. :welldone:
Thank you Boo! It’s been rough waiting for them to turn around.
Fresh cow pie or aged cow pie?
Lmao, smells pretty fresh to me!! Especially after you let the tea soak for a good while. Pew!!!

Do you already have clones of the Candidas?
You sure know how to make me panic Shed... you think they’re gonna die?!

I have one top that I put in water when I moved them into the big tent. It’s just now starting to sprout roots, so I may have one.

I know exactly what you mean, that skunky familiarity. Mine sounds just the way you describe it, even down to the white pistils that just kept sprouting, the high, and the sleepy wind down. I think it’s a great after dinner smoke :smokin:

Thank you, I’m really trying to be patient. I know I’m playing catch up with the soil.

I don't think they're gonna die! I was just thinking that they look like they'll need time to get healthy and you were already talking about flipping, so...it's good you have one with roots. :thumb:

I think they will too. Just hoping I could flip. But don’t worry, I’ll wait til they’re ready.

Glad to hear your Candidas are recovering, and yes, they do look better to me as well. :thumb:

Happy to see they are on the road to recovery! A new growing style can be a bit stressful but I think the ease of things once you get it figured will be great.

Thanks N, it was stressful for a minute for sure, but I’ve got faith and I’m doing what I can to help it along. Hoping for the best.
