The deed is done. BD1 and BD2 have both been trimmed, chopped and hung. Here are some pics:

The BDs might have been the biggest but 9 plants are still left in this grow so don't go anywhere yet.
Quite a haul! Congrats! I have bud envy…

*** Weekly Update ***

The Weekly Update is well overdue by almost a week but it's been busy around here lately as it's harvest season for some of the girls. Here are the highlights from the past 2 weeks:
  • DDA3 was topped on September 27.
  • DDA4 was topped on September 29.
  • Pistils are now showing on DDA2.
  • On September 29, both Jack Herers, the Diesel and the Sour Diesel were all put into flower.
  • On September 29, Felonious and I spent 2 hours trimming the Big Devil XLs as they needed to be chopped to prevent more bud rot. Both were chopped and hung after they were trimmed.
  • And, today (October 5), I sprayed the indoor photo plants with Safer's as I might have aphids. I have pics and you can weigh in.
  • Also, the DDAs are showing some damage on their leaves and I suspect it's a nute issue due to them being DDAs. I know that they don't like a lot of nitrogen but if I just cut back the amount of Mega Crop, would that work? Again, I have pics and you can weigh in.

So, without further ado, here are the pictures:

Leaf Damage:

I find it hard to believe this topside view belongs to the plant above but I've checked my camera and it looks like it really is. I just find it hard to believe because it's a Dark Devil because it looks so good. :laughtwo:

I don't know if you can tell or not but some of the DDA leaves are curling up and dying:

There's a little bit of white on some of the leaves. Is this powdery mildew? What do I do for it?

And, that's it. Thanks for following along.

Are thrips and aphids the same thing?

No. And the damage would look different as well. Thrip damage is similar to mite, with spots on the leaves. Though neither would cause that kind of tearing in a leaf. Also, both can be seen with the naked eye.

Is that a pic of the bottom or top of a leaf?

The spots on the DDAs almost look like a boron deficiency, but I want to start by asking why your leaves are wet. Are you spraying them with something?

The white spots on the Carnival (which looks great by the way, Susan would be thrilled) look more like residue after something has dried. Like if they were dirty and then you got a light drizzle.

It's the bottom of the leaf. I took the pic when the plant was in the tent. I'll try for a better photo tomorrow but I'm hoping there won't be any bugs since I sprayed them all with Safer's today.

See above.

Okay. Thanks for that. It was misting this morning so perhaps, it's from that.

I sent her photos of the Big Devils prior to chop. I didn't think to share the Carnival pics with her, too. Big Devil XL is one of the parents of Dark Devil so that's why I shared those ones specifically and also because they really looked great.

The white on leaves can be caused by humidifier if you're using one with tap water

Hi Mdlroad. The plant with the white on the edges of leaves is on our outdoor plant. No humidifier.

Don't forget to rinse off the Safers tomorrow, along with whatever it killed!

I sprayed it off yesterday just before lights out and looking at the underside of the leaves this morning, they are showing no black spots/bugs on any of the plants.

Good afternoon.

All of the photoperiod plants are showing leaf damage. Could you please help me diagnose and treat it? Felonious thinks it might be nute burn. Here are the pics:

I read this elsewhere and am now wondering if that's the issue?

Sativa strains generally require less feeding than indicas. When feeding, be careful not to burn the plant with too many nutrients. Allow time between feeding and watering to let the roots take in as much oxygen as possible, promoting strong growth.

sativa's are notorious for being fussy feeders, so it could be related...personally, I would go with straight water for a couple watering's(do you alternate feeding/watering?) and take off the most damaged leaves...cheerz... :high-five: ...h00k

Thanks, h00k. I was told that MegaCrop was supposed to be feed with every watering but I can absolutely try plain water for a few days. I will also remove the affected leaves.

Is that a dehumidifier next to the damage. Could the hot air coming out be the culprit.
You probably keep it there all the time just trying to check off all boxes.

Hi Dusty. :welcome: to my journal.

No, that's not a dehumidifier. It's an oscillating fan.
